  • child objects in rdlc (Studio 2010RC)

    Hi, I am attempting to reference a sub-object in a field expression in a studio 2010 report. This used to work in prior versions. When account references another object with properties the following used to work. =Fields!Account.Value.Name (Name is a property of the child object, Account is the parent object) The same expression syntax no longer works. How do I reference the properties of a sub-object in reporting services in an rdlc in studio 2010. Thanks

    I'm looking for a complete list of security guidelines for programming and deploying PHP web sites and applications on an Apache (Linux) server. Basically, a "security check list" to run through before finishing a project. I.e., Cross Site Scripting Cross Site Request Forgery Sanitize form data that goes into database Disable register globals and error reporting in custom php.ini Upload files below web root ...(the list goes on) I did some searching on the internet and in this forum, but couldn't find a comprehensive, succinct, and complete list of guidelines.   • SSRS Parameters Displaying incorrectly

    Basically, I have a datetime parameter, after picking a date with the calendar widget, the date will display correctly (12/1/2010 or 1-DEC-2010). If the parameter tab refreshes in any way, either from report processing or changing another of the parameters, the date flips the month and day (1-DEC-2010 becomes 12-Jan-2010, or 12/1/2010 becomes 1/12/2010). I'm utilizing the SSRS plugin for C# (Microsoft.Reporting.Winforms.ReportViewer). Has anyone seen anything like this?

    I am storing an object in session state (using local session state server), class def is: [Serializable] public class ExtendedOAuth2Parameters : OAuth2Parameters but the service is still reporting: Unable to serialize the session state. In 'StateServer' and 'SQLServer' mode, ASP.NET will serialize the session state objects, and as a result non-serializable objects or MarshalByRef objects are not permitted. [SerializationException: Type 'Google.GData.Client.OAuth2Parameters' in Assembly 'Google.GData.Client, Version=2.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=04a59ca9b0273830' is not marked as serializable.] How to get around it?

  • Error when deploying site of a maven multi module project with FTP

    I have a multi module project. When I launch mvn site:deploy, the deployment of the base module works fine, but it fails to create the directory of the module sites on the FTP server: [INFO] Error uploading site Embedded error: Required directory: '/myremoteftprepository/myproject-mymodule' is missing When I create the missing directory by hand, it works fine, but I would like to avoid that. It is surprising that the deploy command do not create it. Do you how to force this directory creation? Is it a bug in the wagon-ftp plugin?   • Team Build Errors when there aren't any

    I have a nightly team build that is reporting errors from the test step but zero errors in the summary. This results in a partial success. I cant see any errors in the full build log but maybe it's just the quantity of warnings?? Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

  • How to remove "Standard Error" column from xtable() output of an lm on R/RSweave/LaTeX

    I'm currently doing some data analysis on population data, so reporting the standard errors in the tables of parameter coefficients just doesn't really make statistical sense. I've done a fair bit of searching and can't find any way to customize the xtable output to remove it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks a lot, I didn't post this lightly; if it's something obvious, I apologize for having wasted time!

  • Is there a command to test an SQL query without executing it? ( MySQL or ANSI SQL )

    Is there anything like this: TEST DELETE FROM user WHERE somekey = 45; That can return any errors, for example that somekey doesn't exist, or some constraint violation or anything, and reporting how many rows would be affected, but not executing the query? I know you can easily turn any query in a select query that has no write or delete effect in any row, but that can lead to errors and it's not very practical if you want to test and debug many queries.

    Our ClickOnce application is reporting "Unable to install or run the application. The application requires stdole Version 7.0.3300.0 in the GAC" when one user tries to run the application. It's interesting to note that the GAC (c:\windows\asssembly) does not have stdole installed in it. Any ideas how to get it there? We are using .NET 3.5 and it has been installed on this computer.

    Hi I have a website used by clients for reporting purposes and would like to give clients the option of my website reading their local database directly (instead of them providing data in a file format). In most instances their database would be SQL Express setup on their localhost. How can I connect to a clients local SQL server via my website, using asp.net / javascript etc? If the client provides their connection string properties, localhost would just refer to my server's localhost... Thanks

Something like: foreach (var t in tests) { TestFx.Run(t.Name, t.TestDelegate); } But with the test reporting as you would expect... I could do something like this with RowTests et al, but that seems hokey.

  • Android Google Analytics dispatch interval

    In the document, it mentions that we can have a dispatch interval such that page view will be automatically dispatched after x seconds. I have the code like the following tracker.startNewSession("UA-YOUR-ACCOUNT-HERE", 20, this); I sure trackPageView() is called as I can see those pageview are stored into "google_analytics.db" which is the database that google analyitcs used to store non-dispatching pageview. However, it doesn't send to Google Analytics after 20 seconds In log, it keeps reporting scheduling next dispatch when I call trackPageView().

  • What's the best CDN for image hosting on a high-volume web site?

    Akamai is way too expensive. Photobucket is not reliable. Is there a great content delivery network that I can use just to host my images? We deploy images programmatically via FTP, so there is some programming behind the scenes. Having some sort of reporting about the reliability of the service, whether it's raw logs files or a web-based admin screen that shows http errors, would also be important. Has anyone worked with edgecast?

Occasionally, I'm using the stack trace to get a more detailed error reporting logs from the deployed applications; can this functionality be achieved without relying to those files? Also, how much hints of the original source code does these files contain? Would it be easier to reverse-engineer my application using it?

    Could someone explain to me what should two following lines do: s.httpheaderline[s.httpheaderlineptr] = *(char *)uip_appdata; ++((char *)uip_appdata); This is taken from uIP code for microcontrollers. s - structure httpheaderline - http packet presented as a string httpheadrlineptr - integer value uip_appdata - received ethernet packet (string) If some more info is needed please let me know. BTW. Eclipse is reporting an error on the second line with message Invalid lvalue in increment so i'm trying to figure out how to solve this.

    Want to know if you have what it takes to be certified by Microsoft? Today we check out an enjoyable way to practice and test your IT knowledge of Microsoft products.  There are two modes, one where you log in with your Live account so you can save your progress, and play additional levels.   If you log in with your Live account, it’s obvious that Microsoft wants to sell you some certification courses, so just be aware of that. Or Guest Play where you can only play one episode and scores are not saved.   Playing the Game We’ll take a look at the Guest Play just so you get a sense of what the game is about. Enter in a username and pick an avatar… Then read the instructions…we won’t go over them all here, there are a lot of options and points are scored by correct answers, amount of time it takes to answer them, you get vouchers to play a question before answers are shown…etc. Once you start playing, you get certification questions, you can take as much time to read the question as you want, then hit the Answer button when you’re ready. Now you have four answers to choose from…notice the time clicking down, so you want to try to answer as quickly as possible. After selecting the answer, you’re told if it is correct or not, then given an answer explaination, along with your score. You can flag the topic so it comes up again, which is a good way to get repetition of various topics, which really helps when taking the cert tests. If you get an answer wrong, you still get an answer explanation which is cool, so you can learn and better understand the topic. Conclusion This game is definitely not for everyone, only those who are curious or want a fun way to practice for Microsoft certifications.   • JavaOne 2013: (Key) Notes of a conference – State of the Java platform and all the roadmaps by Amis

    Last week’s JavaOne conference provided insights in the roadmap of the Java platform as well as in the current state of things in the Java community. The close relationship between Oracle and IBM concerning Java, the (continuing) lack of such a relationship with Google, the support from Microsoft for Java applications on its Azure cloud and the vibrant developer community – with over 200 different Java User Groups in many countries of the world. There were no major surprises or stunning announcements. Java EE 7 (release in June) was celebrated, the progress of Java 8 SE explained as well as the progress on Java Embedded and ME. The availability of NetBeans 7.4 RC1 and JDK 8 Early Adopters release as well as the open sourcing of project Avatar probably were the only real news stories. The convergence of JavaFX and Java SE is almost complete; the upcoming alignment of Java SE Embedded and Java ME is the next big consolidation step that will lead to a unified platform where developers can use the same skills, development tools and APIs on EE, SE, SE Embedded and ME development. This means that anything that runs on ME will run on SE (Embedded) and EE – not necessarily the reverse because not all SE APIs are part of the compact profile or the ME environment. However, the trimming down of the SE libraries and the increased capabilities of devices mean that a pretty rich JVM runs on many devices – such as JavaFX 8 on the Raspberry PI. The major theme of the conference was Internet of Things. A world of things that are smart and connected, devices like sensors, cameras and equipment from cars, fridges and television sets to printers, security gates and kiosks that all run Java and are all capable of sending data over local network connections or directly over the internet. The number of devices that has these capabilities is rapidly growing. This means that the number of places where Java programs can help program the behavior of devices is growing too. It also means that the volume of data generated is expanding and that we have to find ways to harvest that data, possibly do a local pre-processing (filter, aggregate) and channel the data to back end systems. Terms typically used are edge devices (small, simple, publishing data), gateways (receiving data from many devices, collecting and consolidating, pre-processing, sending onwards to back end – typically using real time event processing) and enterprise services – receiving the data-turned-information from the gateways to further consolidate, distribute and act upon. A cheap device like the Raspberry PI is a perfect way to get started as a Java developer with what embedded (device) programming means and how interaction with physical input and output takes place.
