How to locate the line where a vim plugin error occurs: "Mapping not found"

When I open gvim, it gives "Mapping not found" warning. I found out that the problem is related to the snipmates.vim plugin. But I can't locate where exactly in snipmates.vim file this error is produced. Is there a way to find out the exact cause? Note: gvim 7.2 runs on Windows XP. I found a solution advice in vim mail list. gvim -V20 2>&1 | tee logfile I run this command from command prompt but it doesn't output anything into the logfile. All the logs are written on the entry screen of gvim.

Trying to make changes to the size of the events buffer in prelude-ids auditd plugin

I am running systems using the prelude-ids plugin for auditd. When the manager is up every thing works fine however I have a requirement that when the clients can't talk to the manager they should store no more than 250MB of messages, and when they hit that point they should start deleting the oldest events. All I can find is that audispd can be set to an overflow action of ignore,syslog,suspend,single, and halt none of which meet my requirement, and several of which I really cannot use. Does anyone know a way to do this? I know the events get stored in /var/spool/prelude/auditd/global, but I can't find anything about configuring how things are stored here. There are usually several files in the global directory but only 2 of them ever go above 0 in size, data0 and data0.journal.

Problems executing check_mysql plugin

I'm attempting to test out the check_mysql plugin for Nagios using the command line. It works great when I'm just checking localhost but when I try to specify a different server (using the -H argument) I keep getting the following error message: CRITICAL - Unable to connect to mysql://nagios_user@{remoteServerHostname}/ - Access denied for user 'nagios_user'@'{localServerHostName}' (using password: YES) It looks like it's trying to connect to the database using the localhost server even though I've specified a different host name. I've already set up this user on the remote database and they have correct permissions. I'm just trying to figure out why the script keeps inserting the localhost server name instead of the remote one.

Need old version Firefox Java plugin

I need to use Java 1.6.0_20 for the software I'm running. I went to the Oracle website and downloaded jre1.6.0_20 and installed it on my computer, but can't seem to get Firefox to load Java. If I download directly from http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp, the plugin works fine but is the wrong version, and I can't find on www.java.com anywhere to download any of the previous versions. According to the help (can't post link because of spam prevention), I need to go into the Java Control Panel and enable it for Mozilla. I've done this multiple times, but every time I go in to the control panel and check the box, click Apply and Save, as soon as I go back in the box is unchecked. Does anyone know either why the box is unchecked, or where I can download the old JRE that also is configured for Firefox?

check_postgres_checkpoint plugin error

I am using the check_postgres.pl plugin for Nagios. I am trying to monitor how long since the last checkpoint has been run using the check_postgres_checkpoint option. When I run the command from CLI as root I am getting the output but I am not able to get the output in the Nagios web interface. The error which it shows is, ERROR: pg_controldata could not read the given data directory: "/opt/PostgreSQL/9.1/data" It is trying to access the pg_control file in the 'global' directory present beneath the data directory which has only read access to the postgres user. Can anyone please suggest me how this can be resolved ? Thanks.

A solid unity plugin to stream youtube video

I've been searching for hours for a Unity 4.5 plugin that allows users to watch youtube video in an android app. (I've found several solutions for IOS but not android!). Can anyone give me some pointers? I've tried uwebkit(which only works for IOS), vuforia, and many google.com suggestions I found online. None of them worked and its very fustrating. I just want to watch a youtube video via an unity app in android phone/tablet. It shouldn't be that hard of a task /=. Oh, I've also tried Unity support forum, the response rate is a bit lower in SO/SU.

SQL 05 full-text query fails "Specified module could not be found."

I'm running SQL 2005 on Windows XP. I have a database table that has full text searching enabled. I was able to build and even re-build the index. However, when I try to query it like this: Select * from fulltext_english WHERE CONTAINS(page_data, 'causes') I get this error: Msg 7619, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 The execution of a full-text query failed. "The specified module could not be found." Did I miss something on the install? Is this a dll issue? I've googled and binged for days and can't find anything similar to this message. Thanks!

Changing the Settings item description text color in Android?

I use a Samsung Vibrant, and one of the annoying bits that Samsung tossed on their TouchWiz skin was changing the color of the Settings menu item description text from white (AOSP) to light blue. This looks okay as long as the skin is bluey-themed, but most ROMs seem to be leaning toward Gingerbread clones... doesn't look good with the green. How can I change that settings description font color back to white, or even the orange it is in actual Android 2.3? Which xml file is the color property located in? It seems to also spread to all apps you install, too... the blue text.

jQuery Validation plugin: prompt for override

I have a jQuery form that has validation of a sort. It is a data entry screen with two 'recommend ranges', one is 36-84, the other 50-300. The business rules call for the values to be either blank or greater than zero, but to prompt for confirmation if the values are outside of the range listed above. I have seen some other threads that talk about setting the class="cancel" on the submit button. From what I can tell, this will simply disable the validation. I need to prompt for a "do you want to continue, yes or no?" and if no stop the submit, if yes, continue. Below is an example from the book Pro jQuery. By default the top row needs to be between 10 and 20 to submit. what is a fast way to output h5py dataset to text?

I am using the h5py python package to read files in HDF5 format. (e.g. somefile.h5) I would like to write the contents of a dataset to a text file. For example, I would like to create a text file with the following contents: 1,20,31,75,142,324,78,12,3,90,8,21,1 I am able to access the dataset in python using this code: import h5py f = h5py.File('/Users/Me/Desktop/thefile.h5', 'r') group = f['/level1/level2/level3'] dset = group['dsetname'] My naive approach is too slow, because my dataset has over 20000 entries: # write all values to file for index in range(len(dset)): # do not add comma after last value if index == len(dset)-1: txtfile.write(repr(dset[index])) else: txtfile.write(repr(dset[index])+',') txtfile.close() return None Is there a faster way to write this to a file? Perhaps I could convert the dataset into a NumPy array or even a Python list, and then use some file-writing tool? (I could experiment with concatenating the values into a larger string before writing to file, but I'm hoping there's something entirely more elegant)

Bash: any command to replace strings in text files?

I have a hierarchy of directories containing many text files. I would like to search for a particular text string every time it comes up in one of the files, and replace it with another string. For example, I may want to replace every occurrence of the string "Coke" with "Pepsi". Does anyone know how to do this? I am wondering if there is some sort of Bash command that can do this without having to load all these files in an editor, or come up with a more complex script to do it. I found this page explaining a trick using sed, but it doesn't seem to work in files in subdirectories.

I've inherited some C# code that contains about a thousand lines of source that I need to modify, transforming it from this: newDataRow["to_dir"] = comboBox108.Text; To this: assetAttributes.Add("to_dir", comboBox108.Text); The lines occur in various places throughout the application in groups of 40 or 50. Modifying each line by hand in Visual Studio 2008 can be done but it's labor intensive and prone to errors. Is there a Windows utility out there that will let me cut and paste groups of code into it and then run some sort of reg-ex expression to transform the individual lines one-by-one? I'd also be willing to use some sort of VS 2008 add-in that performed the same set of reg-ex operations against a selection of code. Thanks in advance.

I've got an html table: <table><tr> <td>M1</td> <td>M2</td> <td>M3</td> <td>M4</td> </tr></table> and a simple jQ script: $('td').click(function(){ alert( $(this).html() ); }); That works just fine.... but in the real world, I've got several hundred table cells and the code is formatted improperly in places because of several people editing the page. So if the html is: <td> M1 </td> then the alert() is giving me all the tabs and returns and spaces: What can I do to get ONLY the text without the tabs and spaces? I've tried .html(), .val(), .text() to no avail. Thanks!

Safari/Chrome problem with ajaxsubmit?

Hi I'm currently having some weird issues with ajaxsubmit (http://jquery.malsup.com/form/#ajaxSubmit), which I'm currently using in a project. I have a flow where I need to open a form into a modal window. I'm using fancybox for that and it works like a charm. When the form has been forced to open in the fancybox window there can happen two things. 1) If the user who is about to submit the form is logged in she should see a confirmation in the modal box, that her input was succesfully submitted 2)If the user is not logged in there should be loaded a login form once she hits the submit button 2.1) When the user has logged in she should receive a confirmation in the modal box. This is also working like a charm in Firefox, IE8 and IE7 but not in Safari or Chrome. The weird part is that it seems like safari and chrome are completely ignoring my ajaxsubmit form. Can't change text color in Microsoft Word 2010

I have Microsoft Office 2010 32-bit running on Windows 7 32-bit. When text is highlighted and a color is selected from the mini-toolbar or the ribbon, the text does not change color. If I change the color for multiple words, and select a different color for each word, the toolbar and ribbon will reflect each of the different colors that I chose, however it is not displayed in the document. So it appears that Word is aware of the text color and not as if it is simply not applying the change. What may be causing this inability to view text colors and how might I fix it? My only troubleshooting attempt so far has been to perform a repair installation of Office. EDIT 1 I created a document, typed a word, selected it and changed the color. I then saved the document as HTML. The text did not change color. Oddly, I had some strange issues while the macro was recorded. I could not select text with my cursor. I had to select the text with control a and then apply the color change. I then couldn't deselect the selected text. Nonetheless, the text showed that it had a different color in the toolbar, but the color did not display in the document. Here's the macro: Sub Change_Text_Color() ' ' Change_Text_Color Macro ' ' Selection.TypeText Text:="Test Text" Selection.WholeStory Selection.WholeStory End Sub EDIT 3 I opened WordPad and created some text and was able to successfully change the color. If I copy and paste the colored text into a Word 2010 document, the color is lost. However, if you place the I-beam in the text and then look at the color selection drop-down menu on the ribbon or mini-toolbar, you can see that the proper color that the text should be in is highlighted. Edit 4 I uninstalled the entire Office 2010 Suite, rebooted and then reinstalled the suite. No change in behavior. Edit 5 Text cannot be colored in Excel either.

Peter describes how a collection can become fragmented over time as content is added, updated, and deleted. Just like you should defragment your hard drive from time to time to get your files placed on the disk in the most optimal way, you should do the same for the search collection. One of the items he led with...and concluded with...was a recommendation on optimizing your search collection if you are using full-text searching with the Oracle database. This can greatly improve your search performance. And this would apply to both Oracle Text Search and DATABASE.FULLTEXT search methods. Peter describes how a collection can become fragmented over time as content is added, updated, and deleted. Just like you should defragment your hard drive from time to time to get your files placed on the disk in the most optimal way, you should do the same for the search collection. While the article mentions scheduling the job weekly, Peter says he now is recommending this be run daily, especially on more active systems. And just as a reminder, be sure to involve your DBA with your WebCenter Content implementation as you go to production and over time. We recently had a customer complain of slow performance of the application when it was discovered the database was starving for memory. So it's always helpful to keep a watchful eye on your database.

Problem manipulating text using grep

I want to search for a line that contains log4j and take 7 lines before and 3 lines after the match. grep -B7 -A3 "log4j" web.xml After that I want to add comment tags before this paragraph and after it.  I wrote this script bellow: search=`find . -name 'web.xml'` text=`grep -B7 -A3 "log4j" $search` sed -i "/$text/c $newparagraph" $search It's not working. Is there any way to just add comment symbol not replace the paragraph? What I want to the script to do: search for the paragraph append append -- at the end Edit: This is the paragraph that am trying manipulate : <context-param> <param-name>log4jConfigLocation</param-name> <param-value>/WEB-INF/classes/log4j.properties</param-value> </context-param> <listener> <listenerclass> org.springframework.web.util.Log4jConfigListener </listener-class> </listener> This paragraph is part of many paragraphs! No text in working indicator-messages after enabling different icons depending on the status

My indicator-messages has some problems. As you can see in the image, there appears no text. The indicator is working correctly, if there is some income, a number will appear in its proper place or I will be able to see the minutes passed after I got an email, but still no information. As you can see in the picture, I changed the envelope icon for the status one. I configured it as is indicated in http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/08/ubuntu-add-new-message-indicator-icons, with the indicator changing depending on the status. But I modified it so I see the bubble. The bubble gets the arrow when I'm absent, for example, or an "X" of I'm disconnected, and also turns blue if there an income. I believe the problem is related with this new indicator. The first days, it was working fine, but then the text dissapeared. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the packet, with no success. I'm using ubuntu 12.10 64bits with Unity. Someone has an idea how to fix this? I would prefer conserving the characteristic of having different icons. Thanks a lot!!! How to write a Media Center plugin like the Netflix plugin? Source code/reference samples?

I am looking to write a Windows Media Center plugin just like the Netflix WMC plugin. Once logged in, I know the streaming urls that I need to hook in to. Any source code, reference samples would be great. Found one on codeplex for swedish TV channels, but right now it's not working for some reason... Previously asked the following question, with no answers, so updated with a question asked in a easy to relate fashion Host a streaming video in my client, from a streaming url that is behind a login session? I am building a Silverlight 4 desktop client to show streaming video from a site that is login based. So that website has a Silverlight player that does streaming video, the player is behind a login sesion, so just by getting the url from fiddler and trying to play it in my Silverlight 4 desktop client won't work. Actually after that, I want to build a Windows Media Center plugin to build a Netflix-like client, that allows login through WMC and then allows you to watch streaming video. Any pointers on how to go about doing any of this?
