• Detection screen disconnection in linux

  Hey Guys We have a nasty little problem. In short we can detect if a screen is connect when x11 boots (we do this by looking at the log - Xorg.0.log), but we are having trouble detect when are screen is disconnected while the machine is running (ie post x11 boot) Any one have any ideas? Cheers

• getJSON triggered from a button inside a form

If the button is placed within the form then the getJSON method returns no results. The code bascially makes a XHR request on clicking the Submit button, based on the value selected. • Permanent file changes on iPhone simulator

  I'm in trouble with paths, relative paths, NSBundle and all the path/file related operations :) While i run the simulator everthing goes right but all the file changes are not permanent, so everytime i run my app i have to repeat the initial setup of my app. The question: What is the proper way to read and write files (from resource dir) and make all the file changes permanent (updated into the project folder) ?   I'm having trouble retrieving an echoed ajax response through SWFupload. Upon uploading a file, my account.php?action=uploadphotographs echos the number 37, the text field hidFileId should then be updated with this data.   I am having trouble writing C++ code that uses a header file designed for a C file. In particular, the header file used a variable name called class: int BPY_class_validate(const char *class_type, PyObject *class, PyObject *base_class, BPY_class_attr_check* class_attrs, PyObject **py_class_attrs); This works in C as class isn't taken as a keyword, but in C++, class is. So is there anyway I can #include this header file into a c++ file, or am I out of luck? Thank you.

  I'm being an idiot. Someone cut and pasted some text from microsoft word into my lovely html files. I now have these unicode characters instead of regular quote symbols, (i.e. quotes appear as <92 in the text) I want to do a regex replace but I'm having trouble selecting them. :%s/\u92/'/g :%s/\u5C/'/g :%s/\x92/'/g :%s/\x5C/'/g ...all fail. My google-fu has failed me.
