• Dovecot, Postfix, Postfixadmin - can't send/receive mail

  I am setting up a mail server: Dovecot and Postfix with MySQL support and Postfixadmin. Spend literally all day trying to figure it out, but I'm still unable to neither send nor receive any emails. To my knowledge, I have configured everything correctly, so either there is another problem, or my knowledge isn't good enough. • Team Foundation Server – How to pass ReferencePath argument to MSBuild

  When we manually build a .NET project using Visual Studio, the reference paths set in Project Properties are picked up by Visual Studio for referring to dependent DLLs. But the project is built using TFS, the reference path’s specified in project properties are not considered. This is because Reference Paths are user specific settings and they are not stored in .proj files(they are stored in user settings files). The TFS build may break if it does not find the required DLLs in GAC. We can solve the problem by passing ReferencePath parameter to MSBuild in TFS build configurations. Go to Team Explorer Select Build Defintion >> Edit Build Definition Switch to Process tab Navigate to Advanced Section and locate MSBuild Arguments Add the following: /p:ReferencePath=”{File path}”

  I am building a web application with email notification just like Facebook, which will host in http://www.linode.com/. When a user A comment to a post, the poster will get an email notification from '[email protected]' with the comment message written by user A. (Not spam) I really like Google Apps but they have sending limits 2000 sending per day, that is not suit for my case becuz I cannot have sending limits. There will be many email notifications. http://support.google.com/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=166852 I also need company email accounts for team members use which I prefer Google Apps. My web application will host in linode, I am considering "Amazon Simple Notification Service" for the email notification. My questions are Any other recommend email service provider suits my case for me? • Windows XP app not able to talk to web server

  My company makes an app built with Adobe Air which talks to our webserver for user authentication. Some users are not able to login. Running Charles Proxy tells us that the "host cannot be found." Loading up the webserver in IE, initially we weren't able to visit the site, we had to add it to trusted sites. My guess is that some security setting is denying our app as well. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as where to make security looser for our app?

  Hi All, I have an issue with NFS. I have two rhel4 servers. sys1 and sys2. I have a directory exported from sys1 and sys2 is the nfs client trying to access the mount. I'm able to mount, but after a certain amount of time I get "RPC: Remote system error: Connection refused." and then I restart nfs services, quotas, deamon, mountd and lockd. Then it works fine again. Any way to fix this. Thanks.

• Should I use Windows deployment server to deploy Windows 7?

  Hi all, I've installed the Windows Deployment Server role on to Windows 2008 R2, I've found the Windows PE .wim file from the Windows 7 AIK and added it to my deployment server. On a client I can now do a network boot and have the Windows PE image load, now on my previous Windows 2003 Deployment Server I'd type WDSCapture and upload the Windows client to the server but WDSCapture is no longer present. Am I missing something? Should I be using Windows Deployment Server for Windows 7? Many thanks Scott

  Sorry to ask this... I manage Apache and PHP in my computer. But having installed a lot of things, I've lost track of some of them. (Things I find really useful to have at my job, or to restore in case of emergency). The problem is that I have installed this thing which displays PHP errors in a nice and colored html table, but can't remember what I have installed or configured to get it work like it. • How do I troubleshoot root cause of a hung windows (2003) server?

  I have a pair of Windows (2003 Server) servers both running MS SQL Server (2008 EE) that each hang every few months. This has been occurring intermittently :( for the past 15 months pretty much since we started using the servers. The symptoms are as-follows: I cannot remote desktop in to troubleshoot; when I attempt to, I get stuck on a blank black screen and am never offered a login prompt I can still ping the servers I can still open a SQL connection to the server, and, CURIOUSLY/BIZARRELY, when I do a "select getdate()", the time it returns appears to be stuck on the exact fraction of a second when (I presume) the server hung. Repeated attempts to do "select getdate()" keep getting that same date, suggesting that the clock is frozen. Filesharing attempts to connect to the hung server fail with the error message: "\ServerName is not accessible. You might not have permissions to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The server's clock is not synchronized with the primary domain controller's clock." This is consistent with a frozen clock. Post-reboot, if I investigate the Windows Event Viewer logs, I can see many security accesses (coming from me and others) that I recognize were login attempts during the "down" period, but all of them in the security log are associated with that same timestamp of when the server hung. This also suggests the clock is frozen. There is not a clear cause in the Application or System event logs. I have a local Admin account on the server and am in the process of getting a domain-credentialed Admin account for better remote admin access. HP is supposed to be supporting these machines and has some low-level ILO2 access but they seem incapable of finding the root cause. A reboot will "fix" the problem but I would like to get to the root cause and solve the issue. Has anyone ever seen something like this odd clock behavior?! (If it were just one server I'd perhaps say a bad hardware clock, but two?) Can anyone advise me on what I should try to troubleshoot this sort of situation to find the root cause (or what I should tell HP to try?)

  I have 2 computers. Both with w7 as os. I have installed wampserver on one of them. I have mysql database on wampserver. Then I have made a vb.net program to connect to mysql database. I have put the program on both computers. What I want to do is for those two programs to see the same database that is on one computer. For them to be able to add, delete, update that 1 database. How do I do that? How do I network the mysql database? Do I also have to install wampserver on the other computer? What do I do? Please enlighten me.

  Hello, I'm running a small hosting VPS with CentOS and I have installed the WHM/cPanel control panel. The problem is that the email, either sent from the cPanel webmail or other client like Outlook does not get sent out with no visible error message on the client side.
