WordPress 'comment is awaiting moderation.' message not appearing when a comment is submitted?

Everything is pretty standard from WP samples, with minor modifications. But when a comment is submitted, it does not show the "your comment is awaiting moderation" message. I get java.lang.NullPointerException when trying to get the contents of the database in Android

I am using 8 EditText boxes from the NewCard.xml from which i am taking the values and when the save button is pressed i am storing the values into a database, in the same process of saving i am trying to get the values and present them into 8 different TextView boxes on the main.xml file and when i press the button i get an FC from the emulator and the resulting error is java.lang.NullPointerException. GDI+ crashes when loading PNG from IStream

I wrote something to load PNG files from a custom C++ IStream via GDI+. It worked great until I ran it on Vista machines. Crashes every time. When compiled on VS 2008, I found that inserting code into the IStream::AddRef method, such as a cout, made the problem go away. When compiling with VS 2010, it still crashes regardless of that. I stripped the program down to its basics. I copied a FileStream straight from Microsoft's documentation. It can load PNGs when using Bitmap::FromFile. It can load JPEGs, GIFs, and BMPs via FromFile or FromStream. C++ assignment operators dynamic arrays

First off i know the multiplying part is wrong but i have some questions about the code. 1. When i am overloading my operator+ i print out the matrix using cout << *this then right after i return *this and when i do a+b on matix a and matix b it doesnt give me the same thing this is very confusing. 2. When i make matrix c down in my main i cant use my default constructor for some reason because when i go to set it = using my assignment operator overloaded function it gives me an error saying "expression must be a modifiable value. although using my constructor that sets the row and column numbers is the same as my default constructor using (0,0). 3. Ant build classpath jar generates "error in opening zip file"

I have a project built in eclipse with a dependencies on 3rd party jars. I'm trying to generate a suitable build file for ant - using eclipses built-in export-ant buildfile feature as a starting block. When I run the build target I get the following error: [javac] error: error reading How to remove a node based on contents of a subnode and then convert to CSV with headers intact

I'm downloading a 10MB zipped XML file with wget, unzipping it to 40MB, trying to weed out test and expired entries (if the text of a certain node is "This is a test opportunity. Please DO NOT apply!" or if is in the past), and then convert to CSV. However, I get this error: PHP Notice: Array to string conversion in /home/morris/projects/grantsgov/xml2csv.php on line 46 I get Array errors because some entries in the XML file have more than one occurrence of a node (different text contents). The test entries are still present. Authoritative sources about Database vs. Flatfile decision

<tldr>looking for a reference to a book or other undeniably authoritative source that gives reasons when you should choose a database vs. when you should choose other storage methods. I have provided an un-authoritative list of reasons about 2/3 of the way down this post.</tldr> I have a situation at my company where a database is being used where it would be better to use another solution (in this case, an auto-generated piece of source code that contains a static lookup table, searched by binary sort). Normally, a database would be an OK solution even though the problem does not require a database, e.g, none of the elements of ACID are needed, as it is read-only data, updated about every 3-5 years (also requiring other sourcecode changes), and fits in memory, and can be keyed into via binary search (a tad faster than db, but speed is not an issue). The problem is that this code runs on our enterprise server, but is shared with several PC platforms (some disconnected, some use a central DB, etc.), and parts of it are managed by multiple programming units, parts by the DBAs, parts even by mathematicians in another department, etc. These hit their own platform’s version of their databases (containing their own copy of the static data). What happens is that every implementation, every little change, something different goes wrong. There are many other issues as well. I can’t even use a flatfile, because one mode of running on our enterprise server does not have permission to read files (only databases, and of course, its own literal storage, e.g., in-source table). Of course, other parts of the system use databases in proper, less obscure manners; there is no problem with those parts. So why don’t we just change it? I don’t have administrative ability to force a change. But I’m affected because sometimes I have to help fix the problems, but mostly because it causes outages and tons of extra IT time by other programmers and d*mmit that makes me mad! The reason neither management, nor the designers of the system, can see the problem is that they propose a solution that won’t work: increase communication; implement more safeguards and standards; etc. But every time, in a different part of the already-pared-down but still multi-step processes, a few different diligent, hard-working, top performing IT personnel make a unique subtle error that causes it to fail, sometimes after the last round of testing! And in general these are not single-person failures, but understandable miscommunications. And communication at our company is actually better than most. People just don't think that's the case because they haven't dug into the matter. However, I have it on very good word from somebody with extensive formal study of sociology and psychology that the relatively small amount of less-than-proper database usage in this gigantic cross-platform multi-source, multi-language project is bureaucratically un-maintainable. Impossible. No chance. At least with Human Beings in the loop, and it can’t be automated. In addition, the management and developers who could change this, though intelligent and capable, don’t understand the rigidity of this ‘how humans are’ issue, and are not convincible on the matter. The reason putting the static data in sourcecode will solve the problem is, although the solution is less sexy than a database, it would function with no technical drawbacks; and since the sharing of sourcecode already works very well, you basically erase any database-related effort from this section of the project, along with all the drawbacks of it that are causing problems. OK, that’s the background, for the curious. I won’t be able to convince management that this is an unfixable sociological problem, and that the real solution is coding around these limits of human nature, just as you would code around a bug in a 3rd party component that you can’t change. So what I have to do is exploit the unsuitableness of the database solution, and not do it using logic, but rather authority. I am aware of many reasons, and posts on this site giving reasons for one over the other; I’m not looking for lists of reasons like these (although you can add a comment if I've miss a doozy): WHY USE A DATABASE? instead of flatfile/other DB vs. file: if you need... PHP inserting Apostrophes where it shouldn't

Hi folks Not too sure what's going on here as this doesn't seem like standard practise to me. But basically I have a basic database thingy going on that lets users submit code snippets. They can provide up to 5 tags for their submission. Now I'm still learning so please forgive me if this is obvious! I've tested this in an earlier version of IE and also in Chrome and it works as expected. The functions called from the anchor tags are working as expected. Creating a dropdown with an onChange event in html works in IE11. Has anyone come across anything like this in IE11? I have checked the console and it is showing no errors.

How do I prove I should put a table of values in source code instead of a database table?

<tldr>looking for a reference to a book or other undeniably authoritative source that gives reasons when you should choose a database vs. when you should choose other storage methods. I have provided an un-authoritative list of reasons about 2/3 of the way down this post.</tldr> I have a situation at my company where a database is being used where it would be better to use another solution (in this case, an auto-generated piece of source code that contains a static lookup table, searched by binary sort). Normally, a database would be an OK solution even though the problem does not require a database, e.g, none of the elements of ACID are needed, as it is read-only data, updated about every 3-5 years (also requiring other sourcecode changes), and fits in memory, and can be keyed into via binary search (a tad faster than db, but speed is not an issue). The problem is that this code runs on our enterprise server, but is shared with several PC platforms (some disconnected, some use a central DB, etc.), and parts of it are managed by multiple programming units, parts by the DBAs, parts even by mathematicians in another department, etc. These hit their own platform’s version of their databases (containing their own copy of the static data). What happens is that every implementation, every little change, something different goes wrong. There are many other issues as well. I can’t even use a flatfile, because one mode of running on our enterprise server does not have permission to read files (only databases, and of course, its own literal storage, e.g., in-source table). Of course, other parts of the system use databases in proper, less obscure manners; there is no problem with those parts. So why don’t we just change it? I don’t have administrative ability to force a change. But I’m affected because sometimes I have to help fix the problems, but mostly because it causes outages and tons of extra IT time by other programmers and d*mmit that makes me mad! The reason neither management, nor the designers of the system, can see the problem is that they propose a solution that won’t work: increase communication; implement more safeguards and standards; etc. But every time, in a different part of the already-pared-down but still multi-step processes, a few different diligent, hard-working, top performing IT personnel make a unique subtle error that causes it to fail, sometimes after the last round of testing! And in general these are not single-person failures, but understandable miscommunications. And communication at our company is actually better than most. People just don't think that's the case because they haven't dug into the matter. However, I have it on very good word from somebody with extensive formal study of sociology and psychology that the relatively small amount of less-than-proper database usage in this gigantic cross-platform multi-source, multi-language project is bureaucratically un-maintainable. Impossible. No chance. At least with Human Beings in the loop, and it can’t be automated. In addition, the management and developers who could change this, though intelligent and capable, don’t understand the rigidity of this ‘how humans are’ issue, and are not convincible on the matter. The reason putting the static data in sourcecode will solve the problem is, although the solution is less sexy than a database, it would function with no technical drawbacks; and since the sharing of sourcecode already works very well, you basically erase any database-related effort from this section of the project, along with all the drawbacks of it that are causing problems. OK, that’s the background, for the curious. I won’t be able to convince management that this is an unfixable sociological problem, and that the real solution is coding around these limits of human nature, just as you would code around a bug in a 3rd party component that you can’t change. So what I have to do is exploit the unsuitableness of the database solution, and not do it using logic, but rather authority. I am aware of many reasons, and posts on this site giving reasons for one over the other; I’m not looking for lists of reasons like these (although you can add a comment if I've miss a doozy): WHY USE A DATABASE? instead of flatfile/other DB vs. file: if you need... Random Read / Transparent search optimization Advanced / varied / customizable Searching and sorting capabilities Transaction/rollback Locks, semaphores Concurrency control / Shared users Security 1-many/m-m is easier Easy modification Scalability Load Balancing Random updates / inserts / deletes Advanced query Administrative control of design, etc. SQL / learning curve Debugging / Logging Centralized / Live Backup capabilities Cached queries / dvlp & cache execution plans Interleaved update/read Referential integrity, avoid redundant/missing/corrupt/out-of-sync data Reporting (from on olap or oltp db) / turnkey generation tools [Disadvantages:] Important to get right the first time - professional design - but only b/c it's meant to last s/w & h/w cost Usu. over a network, speed issue (best vs. best design vs. local=even then a separate process req's marshalling/netwk layers/inter-p comm) indicies and query processing can stand in the way of simple processing (vs. flatfile) WHY USE FLATFILE: If you only need... Bizarre Son of Suckerfish ie6/ie7 problem - 2 letters from right-most dropdown menu also appearing o

I'm interning for an NGO in India and trying to fix their website, including updating their menu so it's not the last item on the page to load, and it's centered on the screen. Everything works well enough but when I try out my new menu in IE6, I get this weird error where the content below the menu is padded an extra 30px or so and the material in the right-most drop down appears on the far left of the screen, always visible. When I drop down the rightmost link ("Publications") the content appears both in the correct location and in the same spot on the far left of the screen, and changes color when I hover as well. Also I'm using a 1000px wide monitor, if there's more hijinks going on outside that space I'd like to know about that too. I took a look at the problem again and it's even weirder than I thought. Only two letters of the bottom-most drop down menu item are shown, no matter how many items are in the left-most drop down menu. When I delete the left-most drop down menu, the bottom item from the next left-most item shows up in the same space. The padding between the menu and the content is always the same. When I hover over the real menu item, the two letters on the left hand side change color to match the hover color. Unfortunately many people that visit our website are using old browsers so IE6 support is pretty crucial, this problem is really weird though, and I would appreciate some help. Deadlock in SQL Server 2005! Two real-time bulk upserts are fighting. WHY?

Here's the scenario: I've got a table called MarketDataCurrent (MDC) that has live updating stock prices. I've got one process called 'LiveFeed' which reads prices streaming from the wire, queues up inserts, and uses a 'bulk upload to temp table then insert/update to MDC table.' (BulkUpsert) I've got another process which then reads this data, computes other data, and then saves the results back into the same table, using a similar BulkUpsert stored proc. Thirdly, there are a multitude of users running a C# Gui polling the MDC table and reading updates from it. Now, during the day when the data is changing rapidly, things run pretty smoothly, but then, after market hours, we've recently started seeing an increasing number of Deadlock exceptions coming out of the database, nowadays we see 10-20 a day. The imporant thing to note here is that these happen when the values are NOT changing. To me it looks like it's deadlocking on the PK of the table, so I tried removing that PK and switching to a Unique Constraint instead but that increased the number of deadlocks 10-fold. Can anyone explain why my crypto++ decrypted file 16 bytes short?

I suspect it might be too much to hope for, but can anyone with experience with crypto++ explain why the "decrypted.out" file created by main() is 16 characters short (which probably not coincidentally is the block size)? I think the issue must be in CryptStreamBuffer::GetNextChar(), but I've been staring at it and the crypto++ documentation for hours. Any other comments about how crummy or naive my std::streambuf implementation are also welcome ;-) And I've just noticed I'm missing some calls to delete so you don't have to tell me about those. During Spring unit test, data written to db but test not seeing the data

I wrote a test case that extends AbstractTransactionalJUnit4SpringContextTests. The single test case I've written creates an instance of class User and attempts to write it to the database using Hibernate. The test code then uses SimpleJdbcTemplate to execute a simple select count(*) from the user table to determine if the user was persisted to the database or not. The test always fails though. I was suspect because in the Spring controller I wrote, the ability to save an instance of User to the db is successful. So I added the Rollback annotation to the unit test and sure enough, the data is written to the database since I can even see it in the appropriate table -- the transaction isn't rolled back when the test case is finished. Why won't jqGrid populate initially in Chrome

Hi, I've got a web page with a jqGrid that uses am xmlreader to populate itself with data that is spat out by a RoR service. The page loads fine in firefox and safari. In Chrome however I get a blank grid. How do I get the PreviewDialog of Apache FOP to actually display my document?

Search as I may I have not found a solution to my problem here and I'm hoping the combined minds of StackOverflow will push me in the right direction. My problem is as follows, I'm developing a print and print preview portion of a messaging system's user agent. I was given specific XSLT templates that after transforming XML will produce a Formatting Objects document. With Apache FOP I've been able to render the FO document into PDF which is all fine and good, but I would also like to display it in a print preview dialog. Apache FOP contains such a class called PreviewDialog which requires in its constructor a FOUserAgent, which I can generate, and an object implementing the Renderable Interface. The Renderable Interface has one implementing class in the FOP package which is called InputHandler which takes in its constructor a standard io File object. Now here is where the trouble begins. I'm currently storing the FO document as a temp file and pass this as a File object to an InputHandler instance which is then passed to the PreviewDialog. I see the dialog appear on my screen and along the bottom in a status bar it says that it is generating the document, and that is all it does. Here is the code I'm trying to use. Getting segmentaion fault after destructor

I'm making a small file reading and data validation program as part of my TAFE (a tertiary college) course, This includes checking and validating dates. I decided that it would be best done with a seperate class, rather than integrating it into my main driver class. The problem is that I'm getting a segmentation fault(core dumped) after my test program runs. Near as I can tell, the error occurs when the program terminates, popping up after the destructor is called. I have a UI, in that UI is 4 text fields and 1 int field, then I have a function that calls to another function based on what's inside of the text fields, this function has (self, *args).
