  • Google App Engine getting verbose_name of a property from an instance

    - by Brian M. Hunt
Given a model likeso: from google.appengine.ext import db class X(db.Model): p = db.StringProperty(verbose_name="Like p, but more modern.") How does one access verbose_name from x=X() (an instance of X)? One might expect that x.p.verbose_name would work, or alternatively x.properties()['p'].verbose_name, but neither seems to work. Thanks! EDIT: x.name.verbose_name = x.p.verbose_name

  • How to determine who changed a file?

    - by Cocowalla
In Windows, how can I programmatically determine which user account last changed or deleted a file? I know that setting up object access auditing may be an option, but if I use that I then have the problem of trying to match up event log entries to specific files... sounds messy! I can't think of any other way, so does anyone either have any tips for this approach or any alternatives?

  • c - difficulties with bit operations

    - by hatorade
I'm debugging a program with GDB. unsigned int example = ~0; gives me: (gdb) x/4bt example 0xffd99788: 10101000 10010111 11011001 11111111 why is this not all 1's? i defined it as ~0... then the next line of code is: example>>=(31); and GDB gives me this when I try to examine the memory at bits: (gdb) x/4bt example 0xffffffff: Cannot access memory at address 0xffffffff what is going on???

  • SQLParameter not working properly

    - by Pselus
I am trying to access a stored procedure and I'm getting an error that says: Procedure or function 'getbug' expects parameter '@bugID', which was not supplied. This is my code to call the procedure. SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("getbug", cn); cmd.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("bugID", bugID)); bugID is set as 1089 (and is type int) I can't figure out why this won't work.

  • How to handle authorization in the view layout

    - by mathk
Authorize attribute are good to do some access control base on Action but suppose that I have some UI element in the layout that should note be output unless the user is authorize. I could possibly set some boolean in the ViewBag but that is not the good solution I guess. Somewhere in the Layout.cshtml: @if (ViewBag.IsAuthorized) { <li>@Html.ActionLink("Index", "Admin")</li> } Let me know if there is a better solution. Thanks.

  • Flex 4: Component move event

    - by alexey
I have a CustomTextInput component based on TextInput (Spark) component. The instance of this class is placed on a popup window (TitleWindow). How can I capture the popup move (dragging the title) event inside CustomTextInput implementation? MoveEvent.MOVE event of the CustomTextInput itself doesn't work. Of course, I can't access the parent popup window inside the component implementation, because it's a common component that can be used not only on the popup windows.

  • Setting the first two bytes of a block of memory

    - by idealistikz
Suppose I have a block of memory as such: void *block = malloc(sizeof(void *) + size); How do I set the first two bytes of the block as NULL or have it point somewhere? I do not want to simply assign 'block' to NULL or to another pointer because I want to access the rest of the memory I malloc'ed.

  • DeleteSubKey UnauthorizedAccessException

    - by Adam Haile
I'm trying to write a quick app to modify some registry keys. When I'm browsing via RegEdit, I can modify and delete the keys with no problems. But when I try to use RegistryKey.DeleteSubKey() it throws an UnauthorizedAccessException Is there anyway to gain the privileges to do this? Also, why would there be a problem if my user account obviously has access to make the changes?

  • Adding user role constraint redirects Browser to jsf.js script?

    - by simgineer
My JSF form login was working with Constraint 1 however when I added Constraint 2 to my web.xml doing a submit on the form now takes me to a jsf javascript page. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I would like only administrators to be able to access the /admin/* pages and only registered users to access the entire site included admin files. BTW after I see the java script page I can still navigate to the intended page in the browser, I just don't want the user to see the intermediate js page or need to know the target page URL. Constraint 1 <security-constraint> <display-name>Admin</display-name> <web-resource-collection> <url-pattern>/admin/*</url-pattern> </web-resource-collection> <auth-constraint> <role-name>ADMIN</role-name> </auth-constraint> </security-constraint> Constraint 2 <security-constraint> <display-name>Users</display-name> <web-resource-collection> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </web-resource-collection> <auth-constraint> <role-name>USER</role-name> </auth-constraint> </security-constraint> Here is the undesired url I am being redirected to: javax.faces.resource/jsf.js.xhtml?ln=javax.faces&stage=Development Here is the start of the jsf.js.xhtml... /** @project JSF JavaScript Library @version 2.0 @description This is the standard implementation of the JSF JavaScript Library. */ /** * Register with OpenAjax */ if (typeof OpenAjax !== "undefined" && typeof OpenAjax.hub.registerLibrary !== "undefined") { OpenAjax.hub.registerLibrary("jsf", "www.sun.com", "2.0", null); } // Detect if this is already loaded, and if loaded, if it's a higher version if (!((jsf && jsf.specversion && jsf.specversion >= 20000 ) && (jsf.implversion && jsf.implversion >= 3))) { ... Notes I'm using Firefox 10.0.4, Glassfish 3.1 w JSF2.0 lib, j_security_check, and my login realm setup is similar to this

  • Scope of Derived Tables in SQL Server

    - by FailBoy
I've been looking into SQL recently and exploring a bit. in regards to Temp Tables I have discovered 3 different temp table types: 1) CREATE TABLE #TempTable 2) DECLARE TABLE @TempTable 3) SELECT * FROM (SELECT * FROM Customers) AS TempTable Now I understand the scope behind the #TempTable and the @TempTable types, but what about the derived table as in example 3? Where does this derived table get stored? and if it is declared in 1 transaction, can a 2nd transaction access it, or is the scoping of Derived Tables that same as example 1 and 2?

  • How to diff just the source files?

    - by Kimvais
I have two almost similar source code trees, but do not have access to the source code repository so I am stuck with release packages that contain also test reports, documentation, binaries etc. the diff command only support --exclude, but I would like to do something like diff -wbur --include='*.c,*.h' tree1 tree2 I know that this question is somewhat related, but does not really address my issue. Bonus points for ignoring change blocks that are completely in C comments :)

  • "out of scope" error when iterating an NSMutableArray

    - by wgpubs
Why am I getting an "out of scope" error whenever I try to access the "url" variable in this loop? for(NSString *url in self.winnerImageURLs) { [mediaItemString appendFormat:@"{\"type\":\"image\",\"src\":\"%@\",\"href\":\"%@\"},", url, url]; } The class of very item in the "self.winnerImageURLs" NSMutableArray comes back as NSCFString so I'm not sure what the dealio is here. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong??? Thanks
