  Hello all! I have a Java / Spring MVC 3 application, using Hibernate and a MySQL database. In my controller, I have this source code: Set<ConstraintViolation<Person>> failures = validator.validate(p); if (failures.isEmpty()) { Project project = this.projectService.findProjectById(projectid); Person newPerson = this.personService.addPerson(p); Set<Person> persons = this.personService.getAllPersonsByProjectId(projectid); persons.add(newPerson); project.setPersons(persons); Set<ConstraintViolation<Project>> failures1 = validator.validate(project); if (!failures1.isEmpty()) { System.out.println("ERROR"); } else { System.out.println("NO ERROR"); } this.projectService.updateProject(project); return Collections.singletonMap("person", newPerson); } Project and Person are a many-to-many relation annotated with @manytomany and Project is the mapping owner. The new Person is added, but on the line with this.projectService.updateProject(project); I get an error. What it does it this in a Dao Hibernate implementation: public void updateProject(Project p) { SessionFactory sessionFactory = HibernateUtil.getSessionFactory(); Session sess = sessionFactory.getCurrentSession(); Transaction tx = sess.beginTransaction(); sess.update(p); tx.commit(); } It failed on the line tx.commit();. My check with if (!failures1.isEmpty()) { tell me that there are nor errors in my project. So what's wrong here? And why there is a validation of my project?   I've spent a lot of time looking at the post on 3/13/12 re: manual controls, but isn't getting me all the way there...probably because I don't know jquery. Sorry, newbie on board. I'm trying to get the right/left arrows to show, as well as the 1, 2, 3...at the bottom. They are there, I see the lists on Firebug, just don't know how to add them to the "hook" (?) so they appear. May be it's related to context in which mcc doesn't exist. • NOOB Memory Problem - EXC_BAD_ACCESS (OBJ-C/iPhone)

  I have been banging my head against the wall for a couple days and need some help. I have a feeling that I am doing something really silly here, but I cannot find the issue. This is the controller for a table view. I put the SQL in line to simplify it as part of the troubleshooting of this error. Normally, it would be in an accessor method in a model class. It gets through the SQL read just fine. Finds the two objects, loads them into the todaysWorkout array and then builds the cells for the table view. The table view actually comes up on the scree and then it throws the EXC_BAD_ACCESS.   Hi, I'm trying to call a thread on a button click (btn_more) but i cant get it right. The thread is to get some data and update the images. The problem i have is if i only update 4 or 5 images then it works fine. But if i load more than 5 images i will get a force close. At times when the internet is slow I will face the same problem too. Can please help me to solve this problem or provide me some guidance?   I have created a JTable which is populated by various arraylists which get their data from a text list using a "~" to split. The issue I am having is that the table is displaying all data from the list on a single row. From previous advice, I think the issue may be looping, but I am not sure. Any advice would be great.   What is the best way to redirect ANY browser to a different ip for specific sites? For example if the user will type www.facebook.com in any browser he will be redirected to 127.0.0.1. Also the same should happen if he will type 66.220.146.11. What I have until now is this: using the winpkfilter I am able to intercept all the traffic on port 80, with type(in or out), source ip, destination ip and packet. My problem is to modify somehow the packet so the browser will be redirected. • c++ stl priority queue insert bad_alloc exception

  Hi, I am working on a query processor that reads in long lists of document id's from memory and looks for matching id's. When it finds one, it creates a DOC struct containing the docid (an int) and the document's rank (a double) and pushes it on to a priority queue. My problem is that when the word(s) searched for has a long list, when I try to push the DOC on to the queue, I get the following exception: Unhandled exception at 0x7c812afb in QueryProcessor.exe: Microsoft C++ exception: std::bad_alloc at memory location 0x0012ee88.. When the word has a short list, it works fine. I tried pushing DOC's onto the queue in several places in my code, and they all work until a certain line; after that, I get the above error. I am completely at a loss as to what is wrong because the longest list read in is less than 1 MB and I free all memory that I allocate. Why should there suddenly be a bad_alloc exception when I try to push a DOC onto a queue that has a capacity to hold it (I used a vector with enough space reserved as the underlying data structure for the priority queue)? I know that questions like this are almost impossible to answer without seeing all the code, but it's too long to post here. I'm putting as much as I can and am anxiously hoping that someone can give me an answer, because I am at my wits' end. The NextGEQ function is too long to put here, but it reads a list of compressed blocks of docids block by block. That is, if it sees that the lastdocid in the block (in a separate list) is larger than the docid passed in, it decompresses the block and searches until it finds the right one. If it sees that it was already decompressed, it just searches. Below, when I call the function the first time, it decompresses a block and finds the docid; the push onto the queue after that works.   Why doesn't following code work correctly in FireFox 3.6? I have tested in IE7, IE8, and Chrome with out any issues. Issue: The first block hover link (the table's 3rd row) doesn't apply the same style/effect as the following below it. Notes: I am trying to create my own table framework. This project is something I am doing to learn more about CSS. Before I started, I thought I knew a lot about CSS. However, to my surprise I was wrong. Who knew? Moving on... As side note, I do not want to take the time to support IE6. So, if you see a problem related IE6, please don't waste your time telling. • Pass data from one form to another on a seperate page

  I am building a price/distance calculator with Google Maps API and am trying to pass the info from the calculator to a booking form on a separate page. My first form has 2 submit buttons - one to make the calculation, and one to submit the relevant data to the booking form. I'm stuck trying to make the 2nd button work. Once the API calculation has been made, I get 4 values - From, To, Cost, Distance. I am trying to pass the From, To and Cost values into my booking form by clicking the second button. But I can;t seem to get it to work. I've tried POST and GET but I think I may have been doing something wrong with both. Any help is appreciated. • Javascript not able to read data generated by ajax script

  I have a situation in which my Jquery Ajax script generates HTML table. And another script is meant to filter the table column by providing a dropdown comprising of unique values in that particular column. If i have static content in html page the filter script works fine. But is not able to read table content when it is generated via Ajax that is during runtime. Any idea what could be the reason. I also tried to align script in order. • Spring transaction : Transaction not active

  i develop a app using struts2, spring 3.1, Jpa2 and Hibernate.
