    Hi, Is it possible to make an NSColorPanel 'Pop Up', almost like a popup menu, from the NSColorWell? I don't like how it's implemented as a palette, as it's sometimes not obvious which NSColorWell it's associated with. Thanks! MT

    I would like to find an open source example of a code for deterministic annealing. It can be in almost any language: C, C++, MatLab/Octave, Fortran. I have already found a MatLab code for simulated annealing, so MatLab would be best.   • What is the difference between moveBackward: and moveLeft: when using NSResponder -interpretKeyEvent

    I'm implementing a custom text box using -interpretKeyEvents: and am trying to figure out what the difference is between moveBackward: vs moveLeft: and moveForward: vs moveRight:. moveLeft: is bound to the left arrow and moveBackward: is bound to Ctrl + B. The documentation describes them almost identically and they seem to behave identically in practice. I'm assuming this is just a holdover from Vim? Does anyone know what the real difference is? Should moveBackward: just call my moveLeft: implementation? Thanks a lot, Nick

  • Turn class "Interfaceable"

    Hi folks, On my company system, we use a class to represent beans. It is just a holder of information using boost::variant and some serialization/deserialization stuff. It works well, but we have a problem: it is not over an interface, and since we use modularization through dlls, building an interface for it is getting very complicated, since it is used in almost every part of our app, and sadly interfaces (abstract classes ) on c++ have to be accessed through pointers, witch makes almost impossible to refactor the entire system. But grep continue to sears other same param and its take almost 30 seconds How to stop the grep immediately after param match? THX

    I need to write a regex that matches strings like "abc", "ab", "ac", "bc", "a", "b", "c". Order is important and it shouldn't match multiple appearances of the same part. a?b?c? almost does the trick. Except it matches empty strings too. Is there any way to prevent it from matching empty strings or maybe a different way to write a regex for the task.

I've rolled my own solution, that I will provide as an answer, but I am almost certain I've seen such a function lost somewhere in the standard library. So the categories should be on the x-axis, values in the same category should have the same x coordinate. Simply doing plot(trans.factor, casp6) does almost what I want, it produces a boxplot, but I want to see the individual data points.

    Hi ALL~ I'm getting this error while I was implementing and testing PHP webservice using Zend Soap. I'm testing the same codes under 2 different protocols(http & https) in 2 different web servers. http site works just fine, but I get "SoapFault exception: [VersionMismatch]..." error in https. The two web servers almost have the same specs. Is there anyone who can help me with this?

    I have a VB6 app which brings up a form by invoking a .NET DLL, but the problem is that this form takes almost 5 seconds to appear after a menu item in the VB6 app is selected. How can I speed this up? I'm thinking that one possible solution is to load the Form from the .NET DLL during the splash screen of the VB6 app but make invisible or somehow not show it, and then when the menu item is selected I will make it show or visible. What are my options?

Also, text is not entirely written in 1 language; almost always English words are present. I reckon I would need dictionary databases stored on my machine, but it feels a bit unpractical. What would you suggest I do?
