  • Selecting a value from multiple dictionaries inside an enumeration

    - by johaanfaust
    If I have an enumeration of dictionaries IEnumerable<IDictionary<string, float>> enumeration can I perform a Linq query on it so that I can select by a value from each dictionary in the enumeration using the same key? I can do this in a loop: float f; foreach (var dictionary in enumeration) { if (dictionary.TryGetValue("some key", out f)) { Console.WriteLine(f); } } (The eventual plan is to compare the performance of the query verses the equivalent nested looping statements (the enumeration itself is formed from either another query or an equivalent set of loops).)

  • drop down menu will not display outside containing div in IE7..

    - by playahabana
    I am tearing my hair out over this, I have a dropdown menu using CSS and jQuery (thanks to Soh Tanaka) and it works perfectly in Firefox, Safari, Google chrome and I.E. 8, but in IE 7 it will not drop down outside the 'Banner div'. It drops below the nav div however. I have moved the nav div higher in the banner the result is the same, menu drops until it reaches the border of the banner div and then vanishes.... Below is the css. This is my first website and I have some limited understanding of what I am doing. The drop down menu includes transparent png's as links (I know, I know...but it's what the Boss wants...) please could someone take a quick scan at the below CSS and let me know what is wroong? Is this some form of the IE z-index bug? i have tried all different combinations of z-index and still I can't get a different result. . The html is below as well. Thankyou in advance #banner { position: relative; width: 62.5em; height: 12em; background-color: #46280A; background-image: url('images/includes/banner2.jpg'); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center; -moz-box-shadow: -4px 6px 8px #000; -webkit-box-shadow: -4px 6px 8px #000; box-shadow: -4px 6px 8px #000; /* For IE 8 */ -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Shadow(Strength=8, Direction=225, Color='#000000')"; /* For IE 5.5 - 7 */ filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Shadow(Strength=8, Direction=225, Color='#000000'); z-index: 1; } /*------------------------------------SCROLLER---------------------------------------------*/ #headlines{ position: absolute; top: 1.3em; right: 2.75em; overflow: hidden; height: 2.5em; width: 24em; background-color: #000000; display: block; z-index: 3; } #news{ position: relative; height: 3.1em; line-height: 2.5em; font-size: 0.8em color: #FFFF99; white-space: nowrap; overflow: hidden; font-family: Georgia,Arial; } #scrollerglass{ position: absolute; top: 0.95em; right: 2em; height: 52px; width: 410px; border: none; padding: 0.2em 0em 0em 0em; line-height: 0.7em; text-align: center; background-image: url('images/includes/scrollerglass.png'); background-color: transparent; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center; opacity: 20; z-index: 10; } #scrollerglass a i { visibility: hiddn ; } /-------------------------------------NAVIGATION-----------------------------------------/ #nav { position: absolute; top: 5.8em; left: 0.2em; font-family: trebuchet, sans-serif; font-size: 1em; line-height: 3.75em; text-align: center; color: #FFFF00; z-index: 3; } ul.navlist { list-style: none; padding: 0em; margin: 1em; float: left; width: 62.5em; background: transparent; font-size: 1em; } ul.navlist li { position: relative; /*--Declare X and Y axis base for sub navigation--*/ float: left; margin: 0em 1.4em; padding: 0em 0.7em 0em 0em; z-index: 1; } ul.navlist li a{ display: block; text-decoration: none; float: left; border: 0px solid; } ul.navlist li img{ border: 0px solid; } ul.navlist li span { trigger styles--*/ width: 1.2em; height: 5.25em; float: left; background: url(images/links/downlogo.png) no-repeat center top; } ul.navlist li span.subhover { background-position: center bottom; cursor: pointer; } ul.navlist li ul.navdrop { list-style: none; position: absolute; float: left; top: 5.3em; left: -2.4em; height: 15.0em; width: 11.25em; margin: 0; padding: 0.5em 0em 0em 0em; display: none; background-position: center; background-image: url('images/includes/slider.jpg'); background-color: transparent; background-repeat: no-repeat; -moz-box-shadow: -4px 6px 8px #000; -webkit-box-shadow: -4px 6px 8px #000; box-shadow: -4px 6px 8px #000; /* For IE 8 */ -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Shadow(Strength=8, Direction=225, Color='#000000')"; /* For IE 5.5 - 7 */ filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Shadow(Strength=8, Direction=225, Color='#000000'); z-index:1; } ul.navlist li ul.navdrop li{ margin: 0em 2.3em 0em 0em; padding: 1em 0em 0em 0em; width: 8em; clear: both; } html ul.navlist li ul.navdrop li a { border: 0px solid; width: 11.25em; } html ul.navlist li ul.navdrop li a:hover { background: transparent; } <div id="banner"> <div id="headlines"> <div id="news"> Whatever we want to promote </div> </div> <div id="scrollerglass"> <a href="vintagecigars.php"> <i>------s-c-r-o-l-l-e-r - - - -l-i-n-k-s--------<br /> <br>------s-c-r-o-l-l-e-r - - - -l-i-n-k-s------</i></a> </div> <div id="nav"> <ul class="navmenu"> <li><a href="index.php"><img src="images/links/home.png" alt="Home" ></a></li> <li><a href="ourbar.php"><img src="images/links/ourbar.png" alt="Our Bar" ></a> <ul class="navdrop"> <li ><a href="ourcocktails.php"><img src="images/links/cockteles.png" alt="Our Cocktails" ></a></li> <li ><a href="celebrate.php"><img src="images/links/celebrate.png" alt="Celebrate in Style" ></a></li> </ul> </li> <li><a href="ourcigars.php"><img src="images/links/ourcigars.png" alt="Our Cigars" ></a> <ul class="navdrop"> <li ><a href="edicioneslimitadas.php"><img src="images/links/edicioneslimitadas.png" alt="Edition Limitadas" ></a></li> <li ><a href="cigartasting.php"><img src="images/links/cigartasting.png" alt="Cigar Tastings" ></a></li> </ul> </li> <li><a href="personalroller.php"><img src="images/links/personalcigar.png" alt="Personal Cigar Roller" ></a></li> <li><a href="galleryentrance.php"><img src="images/links/photogallery.png" alt="Photo Gallery" ></a></li> <li><a href="contactus.php"><img src="images/links/contactus.png" alt="Contact Us" ></a></li> </ul></div></div><!--end banner-->

  • Oracle spatial search within distance

    - by KA_lin
    I have the following table Cities: ID(int),City(char),latitude(float),longitude(float). Now based on a user`s longitude(ex:44.8) and latitude(ex:46.3) I want to search for all the cities near him within 100 miles/KM. I have found some examples but don`t know how to adapt them to my case select * from GEO.Cities a where SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE([I don`t know], MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(2001, 8307, MDSYS.SDO_POINT_TYPE(44.8,46.3, NULL) ,NULL, NULL), 'distance = 1000') = 'TRUE'; Any help would be appreciated. P.S: If it is possible to have the distance and to be sorted P.P.S: I want to do it in this way due to performance issues, I have done this in this way http://www.scribd.com/doc/2569355/Geo-Distance-Search-with-MySQL but it takes too long...

  • Master page managing ContentPlaceHolder

    - by lidermin
    Hi, this is my issue: I have a master page in C#, where I have this code: <div style="width: 30%;height: 500px;float:left"> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="cphMenu" runat="server"> </asp:ContentPlaceHolder> </div> <div style="width: 65%;height: 500px; float:right"> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="cphMain" runat="server"> </asp:ContentPlaceHolder> </div> As you can see, I have two ContentPlaceHolders, the first one is the left menu (cphMenu), and the second one is the page itself. So, I want to click an item from the menu (the menu is a treeview) and load that specific page on the second contentplaceholder (cphMain). How can I get that behaviour?? Thanks in advance.

  • IE6 Overflow Issue

    - by Nimbuz
    <div style="float:left; width:50%;"> div 1 <div style="position:absolute; width:105%">nested element</div> </div> <div style="float:left; width:50%;"> div 2 </div If an element exceeds the width of its floated parent element, the next element is pushed down unless I apply overflow:hidden on both floated elements, which defeats the purpose because I DO NOT want to hide the overflowing content. Is there any fix for it?

  • MemoryError when running Numpy Meshgrid

    - by joaoc
    I have 8823 data points with x,y coordinates. I'm trying to follow the answer on how to get a scatter dataset to be represented as a heatmap but when I go through the X, Y = np.meshgrid(x, y) instruction with my data arrays I get MemoryError. I am new to numpy and matplotlib and am essentially trying to run this by adapting the examples I can find. Here's how I built my arrays from a file that has them stored: XY_File = open ('XY_Output.txt', 'r') XY = XY_File.readlines() XY_File.close() Xf=[] Yf=[] for line in XY: Xf.append(float(line.split('\t')[0])) Yf.append(float(line.split('\t')[1])) x=array(Xf) y=array(Yf) Is there a problem with my arrays? This same code worked when put into this example but I'm not too sure. Why am I getting this MemoryError and how can I fix this?

  • C struct print, decode this code?

    - by pauliwago
    I am in the process of studying for a test, and I'm trying to work through some practice problems. I've been working on this a while now..but can't figure it out. Please take a look at the code fragment: union { int i; short x; unsigned short u; float f; } testout; testout.i=0xC0208000; Before I ask the question, can someone please explain to me how the above code works?? My guess is that testout.i=0xC0208000 puts either an int, short, unsigned short, or float and puts the result in that address. (?) The question is what prints out if we write printf("%d", testout.x)? I know we should expect digits....but I have no idea where they are getting the digits from....there is no output. Any explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Distance between a line and a point in Objective-C ?

    Hello, I have 2 class : // point : (x, y) @interface ICPoint : NSObject { NSInteger x; NSInteger y; } // line : y= ax + b @interface ICLine : NSObject { float a; float b; } and this method: // return the distance between a line and a point -(NSInteger) distance:(ICPoint *)point { return fabs(-a*point.x +point.y - b) / sqrt(a*a + 1); } The formula seems right (based on wikipedia), but the results are wrong... why ? Thanks !

  • Position DIV relative to containing DIV Without Moving Other Stuff

    - by yar
    [I'm not sure if this question has been asked, though I've looked around a bit.] I have a DIV inside a DIV. I would like the inner DIV to have a certain position inside the outer div. I'm having some success with this position: absolute; top: 0px;right:0px; but all other divs are getting moved around. I just want it to float on top of the other stuff (float didn't work, of course). Thanks! Edit: The outer div is relative, and I'd like the inner to move with it when the browser is resized. Edit: Sorry, I've figured out the question (but not the answer): if I use right:0px, the inner div stops moving relative to the outer div and starts moving relative to the browser window. Why would that be?

  • Property hiding and reflection (C#)

    - by tehMick
    Declaring a property in a derived class that matches the name of a property in the base class "hides" it (unless it overrides it with the override keyword). Both the base and derived class properties will be returned by Type.GetProperties() if their types don't match. However, if their types do match, shockingly only the derived class's property is returned. For instance: class A { protected double p; public int P { get { return (int)p; } set { p = value; } } } class B : A { public new int P { get { return (int)p; } set { p = value; } } } class C : B { public new float P { get { return (float)p; } set { p = value; } } } Calling typeof(C).GetProperties() will only return B.P and C.P. Is it possible to call GetProperties() in a way that returns all three? There is almost certainly a way to do it by traversing the inheritance hierarchy, but is there a cleaner solution?

  • Nested <a> and <span> challenge

    Hi all, Trying in vain to get a nested link working within a nested span. This is a working test page for the code below to explain what I'm trying to do. Any ideas on how to get this working in valid html? I guess it's either a nesting order or style syntax thing but I am at a loss. • How to align C++ class member names in one column in emacs ?

    - by KotBerbelot
    I would like to align all C++ class member names ( do not confuse with member types ) in one column. Lets look at the example of what we have at entrance: class Foo { public: void method1( ); int method2( ); const Bar * method3( ) const; protected: float m_member; }; and this is what we would like to have at the end: class Foo { public: void method1( ); int method2( ); const Bar * method3( ) const; protected: float m_member; }; So the longest member type declaration defines the column to which class member names will be aligned. How can i perform such transformation in emacs ?

  • if non zero elements in same column count only once

    - by George
    I want to check the elements above the main diagonal and if I found non zero values , count one. If the non zero values are found in the same column ,then count just one ,not the number of the non zero values. For example , it should be count = 2 and not 3 in this example because 12 and 6 are in the same column. A= 1 11 12 4 5 6 0 7 0 #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <math.h> int main( int argc, const char* argv[] ){ int Rows = 3 , Cols = 3; float *A = (float *) malloc ( Rows * Cols * sizeof (float) ); A[0] = 1.0; A[1] = 11.0; A[2] = 12.0; A[3] = 4.0; A[4] = 5.0; A[5] = 6.0; A[6] = 0.0; A[7] = 7.0; A[8] = 0.0; // print input matrix printf("\n Input matrix \n\n"); for ( int i = 0; i < Rows; i++ ) for ( int j = 0; j < Cols; j++ ) { printf("%f\t",A[ i * Cols + j ]); if( j == Cols-1 ) printf("\n"); } printf("\n"); int count = 0; for ( int j = 0 ; j < Cols; j++ ) { for ( int i = ( Rows - 1 ); i >= 0; i-- ) { // check the diagonal elements above the main diagonal if ( j > i ) { if ( ( A[ i * Cols + j ] != 0 ) ) { printf("\n Above nonzero Elmts = %f\n",( A[i * Cols + j] ) ); count++; } } } } printf("\ncount = %d\n",count ); return 0; }

  • 3 column html template - content overflows though there is clear both and height is 100%

    - by MeltingDog
    I have 3 divs within a wrapper: <div id="wrapper"> <div id="leftbar"> Lorem ipsum dolar sit amet </div><!--LEFTBAR--> <div id="middle"> Lorem ipsum dolar sit amet </div><!--middle--> <div id="rightbar"> Lorem ipsum dolar sit amet </div><!--RIGHTBAR--> </div><!--wrapper--> Both 'leftbar' and 'middle' are floating left, whilst 'rightbar' is floating right. 'wrapper' has height:100%; clear:both; set. However, if there is a large amount of text or content in 'middle' it overflows the 'wrapper' div. I am struggling to figure out why this is occurring. My CSS is: #wrapper { width: 1000px; height: 100%; margin:auto; padding: 30px; margin-top: 40px; background-color:#FFF; color:#000; border: 2px solid #828fc4; clear:both; } #leftbar { float:left; width: 150px; min-height: 450px; padding: 5px; } #middle { float:left; height: 100%; width: 580px; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px; border-right: 1px dotted #2B308C; border-left: 1px dotted #2B308C; } #rightbar { float:right; width: 200px; min-height: 450px; padding: 5px; } Any advice is appreciated!   • css displaying divs inside a Tr fine in FireFox, but IE increases the width of the row...

    - by Ronedog
    I'm having some difficulty figuring out what is going on and how to fix it. I have some divs that contain some icons that are causing a width problem when displaying tabular data. If I remove the div's that contain the icons, the row width ends up the way I want it (See the firefox example below). Here's the view in Firefox which is what I want (notice the positioning of the icons circled in red, which is aligned on the same y coordinate, or thereabouts): Here's the view in IE7 (Notice what happens to the icons and the width of the grey line, which is the table row): Here's the HTML: <table> <tbody> <tr> <td> <span>stuff 1</span> <span>stuff 2</span> <div class="prop_edit"><img class="img_height14" src="edit.jpg"></div> <div class="prop_archive"><img class="img_height14" src="archive.jpg"></div> <div class="prop_delete"><img class="img_height14" src="delete.jpg"></div> <div style="display:none;"> <div>Links Here</div> </div> </td> </tr> </tbody> Heres the CSS: .prop_edit{ float:right; position: relative; top: 0px; right:50px; } .prop_archive{ float:right; position: relative; top: 0px; right:10px; } .prop_delete{ float:right; position: relative; top: 0px; right: -30px; } .img_height14{ height:14px; vertical-align:top; position:relative; } I've tried a bunch of different css things, but really am just hacking away hoping to figure something out. Anyone got some tips that could help me? Thanks in advance.

  • GCC compiler -- bug or unspecified behavior?

    - by Jared P
    When I have conflicting definitions of the ivars of a class in objective-c (not redeclaring the class in the same file, but rather naming the same class with diff ivars, no warnings or better yet errors are issued by the compiler. However, both sets of ivars are useable by the appropriate methods in the respective files. For instance Foo.m: @interface foo { int a; } - (int)method; @end @implementation foo - (int)method { return a; } @end Bar.m: @interface foo { float baz; } @end @implementation foo (category) - (float)blah { return baz; } @end compiles without warnings or errors. Is this intentional? Is this an unchecked error? (for the record, a and baz are actually the same memory location.)

  • structure in .NET

    - by redpaladin
    My problem is very simple.. My problem is to send a structure beetween a program in C to a C# program.. I made a struct in C#: public struct NetPoint { public float lat; // 4 bytes public float lon; // 4 bytes public int alt; // 4 bytes public long time; // 8 bytes } Total size of the struct must be 20 bytes When i do a sizeof() of this struct System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine("SizeOf(NetPoint)=" + System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.SizeOf(new NetPoint())); The debug console show : SizeOf(NetPoint)=24 But i expected to have 20 bytes ? Why do I have a difference ? Thank you in advance
