• Zend Framework ErrorController not working on live site?

  My site is set up pretty much as per the Zend Quickstart guide. The default ErrorController works locally using MAMP. But now I've deployed it to my live site I get a blank page and a "500 Internal Server Error" according to FireBug when I go to an action that doesnt exist. On my local server I get a 404 and a nicely formatted error page. Any ideas anyone? I dont really know where to begin looking. I'm confused :/ Thanks.

I understand timeToIdleSeconds But does it means that after the creation & first access of a cache item, the timeToLiveSeconds is not applicable anymore ?

  Hi, I am supposed to create a simple replicated cache using java for internal purpose which will be used in a distributed environment. I have seen oracle has implemented Replicated Cache Service. http://wiki.tangosol.com/display/COH32UG/Replicated+Cache+Service The problem I am facing is while doing an update or remove, I acquire lock on other cache's to the point the cache get's updated and notifies others of the change. This is eventually going into a dead lock situation, while removing. Is there any strategy I should follow while updating or removing from cache's. • Codeigniter - form not rendering on live server?

  hi guys, I've written a small website with CI, which is all working fine on dev. However, when I copy the files over for live, everything works except for my form which is not being rendered. I am using <?php echo form_open('home'); ?> and <?php echo form_close(); ?> The form fields within the form, which I'm generating as follows are being rendered fine, but there is simply no form around them?! <?php $data = array( 'name'=> 'name', 'id'=> 'name', 'class'=>'textfield', 'value' => set_value('name') ); echo form_input($data); ?> Any ideas - I've used CI on a few apps, and this is the first time I've come across this issue. I've got all the helpers etc called correctly, as this is working perfectly in the development environment.

• How to do custom jquery lives in 1.4.1?

  Hi I been sort of using jquery livequery plugin and jquery live together. However now that I am using 1.4 it seems jquery livequery is not working 100%. • Validation of dependent properties in a "live edit" WPF app

  I'm working on an app which supports live editing. That is you update properties in one area and their impact is seen in another with hitting "apply". Happens to be a charting app. One such edit "group" allows specifying a range. A triple range in fact: High, Target and Low. Our validation is such that High must be greater than target, target must be greater than Low (rocket science). Our dilemma is that the visual experience is a bit jarring when someone wants to go from say 30,20,10 to 15,10,5. I'm curious if anyone has implemented a mechanism for this scenario that might fit well in our situation such that we don't "yell" at the user as they change the range values.

• Practical Python-based visual programming environment?

  I am looking for a practical visual programming environment based on Python. My primary application is algorithm development for processing remote-sensing imagery. I was initially inspired by LabVIEW from National Instruments, but that is more geared towards laboratory measurements and simulations. I write a lot of prototype code in Python and do a lot of interactive analysis with IPython. Does there exist a visual framework where a "program" is represented by connected nodes which each read data, do some work, and output data to the next node? I would like to use Python to write the code residing in each node. So far the best I've seen is Orange http://www.ailab.si/orange/, but it does not have the ability to start/stop individual nodes.

• Corporate Environment [closed]

  How do you guys live in corporate environment? Especially talk to each other (developer to developer). I find it extremely hard as any question goes to "please book a meeting for that". Sometimes I get a chance to ask sb sth on the kitchen but that's it. Booked meetings are just stupidest thing ever, 'cos people talk about nothing specific and you have to wait days for them to happen. Weekly "scrums" are even more stupid as they usually take about 10 mins and you could do the same in 1 minute by email, no useful info or communication et all. All that leads to zero understanding of the product, no connection to customers, development in own isolated cubible, throwing out most of your code because that's not what was needed and you never know what the product is really aimed to do. Sad :(

• Using the StackTrace Class in a production environment to get calling method info

  hey guys We have a "log" class which uses Relection.MethodBase to send current class info to the log. The reflection.MethodBase stuff happens in the class itself. However, I'd like to move that stuff to a single external "log" singleton type class. In this scenario the external log class needs to get the CALLING info, not the current method info. I'm using stacktrace to do this, which isn't in the Reflection namespace. • PHP / javascript live chat using too much bandwidth

  So I am learning about javascript, so I am making a live chat system with PHP and javascript. I have it so the javascript refreshes the log (each message gets logged in a file on the server), and it refreshes every second. Im using firebug to monitor the resource usage, and I see under the net tab each times its updated, and the bytes add up really fast. I know I can change it to update less, but is there a way that when a user on the other end I'm talking to, when the send a message, it gets sent to the server, then an alert gets sent to me saying that the chatlog needs to update somehow. That way it only updates when the log is updated. let me know, thanks

• Low memory with 640Kb of live bytes?

  Hello, i've a problem with my application that need to display a lot of images and video. After running ObjectAlloc tool, i see that the live bytes is 640Kb and the overall memory is 31,54Mb when the application crash. In the organizer i get a "low memory" report so i guess the app crashed because low memory but the ObjectAllocation data don't make any sense to me... Any ideas? • RewriteRule - Doesn't work on live site - subfolder to new domain

  I have the following rule on my local dev site and it works fine: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^localhost$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/example.com(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] However when I change it to: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domain.com$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/example.com(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] and upload it to my live site it doesn't work, if i change the rule to: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domain.com$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] the rule functions as expected and directs an url beginning with www.domain.com/subdomains/ to www.example.com/. Does anyone know what is going on here? Thanks for you help.

  I am trying to read file with 30 rows and 5 columns with separator of "tab". Each time I get only part of the rows. In the windows environment it's working good. • Draw rectangle using Core Graphics with live preview

  I'm creating a simple drawing application and would like some help with drawing rectangles based on the user's touch events. I'm able to draw a rectangle using Core Graphics from the point in touchesBegan to the point in touchesEnded. This rectangle is then displayed once the touchesEnded event is fired. However, I would like to be able to do this in a 'live' fashion. Meaning, the rectangle is updated as the user drags their finger. Is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

• Ant Exec environment var

  I have a problem where I don't want to have to call a setEnv.sh file before i call my ant target that calls an exec task. Right now I have a way to save the environment variables in setenv.properties file in the key=value notation. The exec task for some reason does not see the variables that are set in the .properties file.... (I know i could use the tag but the setenv.properties is dynamically generated) setenv.properties: HELLO=XYZ part of my build.xml : <property file="setenv.properties"/> <target name="test" depends="setEnv"> <exec executable="/bin/ksh" newenvironment="false"> test.sh : echo ${HELLO} Any thoughts?

• Live output from .jar executed by PHP

  I have a php-script which executes a .jar-file: <?php passthru("java -jar nlp-server.jar 9000"); ?> I want to display the output generated by this .jar-file on a website. The problematic part is the fact that the .jar-file doesnt finish executing because its a server-application. Thus navigating to the php-file wont help and I didnt manage to make AJAX work either. Is there a way to display the "live" output of the .jar-file on a website?

  Hi folks, I am trying to check the value of an environment variable and depending on the value do certain things and it works fine as long as the variable is set. When it isn't though I get a whole bunch of errors (as BASH is trying to compare the string I specify with an undefined variable, I guess) I tried implementing an extra check to prevent it happening but no luck. If I tried to install on windows server 2008 using MSI file it is throwing error as below- "You do not have sifficient privieges to compelte this instalaltion for all users of the machine. log on as administrator and the retry this instalaltion" settings as below, 1)I have loged in as admin user. 2)secpol.msc --Local Policies--Security Options--User Account Control: Run all administrator in Admin Approvl Mode ==Enabled Please suggest me on this. thanks in advance

• Sitemap Links don't work on live site, Windows Authentication

  I have a intranet site with Windows Authentication. I have 'Administrator' pages in an 'Administrator' folder that will only show for those in the admin group (windows security group) These pages work I have a folder with sub folders containing reports. These permissions are broken down for each type of report. They have similar role priveleges. When I test the application, I can navigate to the pages. When I deploy the site live on the intranet the links don't return a page. Error missing link 404. Do I need to set something in IIS?

  Is there some way to change Rails environments mid-way through a test? Or, alternately, what would be the right way to set up a test suite that can start up Rails in one environment, run the first half of my test in it, then restart Rails in another environment to finish the test? The two environments have separate databases. Some necessary context: I'm writing a Rails plugin that allows multiple installations of a Rails app to communicate with each other with user assistance, so that a user without Internet access can still use the app. They'll run a local version of an app, and upload their work to the online app by saving a file to a thumbdrive and taking it to an Internet cafe. The plugin adds two special environments to Rails: "offline-production" and "offline-test". I want to write functional tests that involve both the "test" and "offline-test" environments, to represent the main online version of the app and the local offline version of the app respectively.

  I am simply looking for the formula that should be used here. All the results I've found base "finding the bitrate" off of already existing video. I'm talking about LIVE streaming. (indeterminate length) So, I know some basic parts of it, but I just need to know if I'm right or missing anything. For Kbps: Resolution * Framerate / 1024 Is it really that simple? Audio would be a separate element for our purposes here. Am I missing anything from this formula? (Coming up with a proposal of what amount of bandwidth would be required, relative to possible resolution options, so I just need to be sure that I'm not missing anything or inaccurate about it)

• why does calling methods on a div fire the live click event

  i have this jquery code: $(this).parent('.copyFoodInstance').attr("myset", "0"); $(this).parent('.copyFoodInstance').html("<img BORDER=0 src='../../images/copy1.png' />"); it seems that when i call this code, this event fires: $(document).ready(function() { $('div.copyFoodInstance').live('click', function() { does anyone know why this event fires from the lines above? is there anyway to stop if from firing? All i am doing is updating an attribute on the div and updating the html. this shouldn't fire a click event?
