  • Set default reminder pattern to iCal Calendar/Group

    Hi all I have in iCal some Calendars/Groups named Birthday, Exams and Holidays. Now I am wondering if I can assign a default reminder pattern to all Exams events, for example: 2 Weeks before, 1 Week before, 2 Days before. The result should be that I don't have to specify each time the reminder pattern of an event in Exams when I create a New one. NOTE: If iCal can't do this, is it maybe possible do that through an automator action etc.?

    Could I use SCOM2012 monitor the changes on switch(CISCO 3750 2960 4906 etc), such as VLAN changes, Port shutdown, open any services on switch. I noticed there is one reports named configuration changes report, but seems like no any detail configuration could be monitor on switch? Should I download any MP to monitor the detail changes on SW. I am using bind and when using named-checkzone on this file according to my zone configurations, this file has no errors. I then run dig thejarbar.org @88.89.190.171 and get an expected authorative reply. My issue is creating my reverse DNS SOA zone and I would gratly appreciate assistance and guidance. I am stuck on how to represent the reverse records correctly for the eddresses that map to my isp IP. I am trying: $TTL 3H 0.0.10.in-addr.arpa. IN SOA ns.thejarbar.org. email. ( 13112012 28800 3600 604800 38400 ); 171.190.89.88. IN PTR thejarbar.org. 171.190.89.88. But running named-checkzone on this file leaves an erroneous return that IN: has no NS records I would greatly appreciate assistance

    I love idea of TextMate that any directory opened in it is already a project. But sometimes I it would be good to ignore files for certain dir and I don't like idea of creating project file in that dir or remembering how I named project file in some special folder like ~/.tmproject. Is there some sort of plugin or something like this which will allow me to ignore files in dir? Perfect solution would be reading .gitignore file.

  • Migrate data from one server to another using rsync

    I'm moving from one VPS to another, and I figured that the simplest way to transfer data would be rsync. However, the data is owned by a user, www-data, which doesn't have ssh privileges, and I'd like it to be owned by the same (named) user on the target machine. Obviously I need all file permissions preserved. I have SSH access via another user with sudo privileges on both machines. Is this possible to do this with rsync?

I know how to do that in Windows Explorer, but I can not find a way to do it in Mac OS X Finder.   • Forgotten account password

    I kept my passwords recorded but the location on my PC where I kept this went missing. I now can't get into Windows Server 2008 R2 as I can't remember the administrator or named account credentials and have no password reset disk. This is on a VM (VM Player - which btw is temp till I get Hyper-V). How can I get back in? If I make AD can I join the server to AD and then set a domain account?

  • How can make rsync use sudo

    I use rsync to mirror a number of folders on our failover server. However, some of our files, such as thumbnails or full-text indexes, are generated by our applications under the web user (named 'nobody'), and default to restrictive permissions. Also, I'm doing this over ssh, where root access is disabled, and I'd like to keep it that way, if possible. Is there any reasonable way I can tell rsync to run as sudo? Or should I look into changing the file permissions? Thanks

  • Shouldn't emesene themes change the emesene indicator icon?

    As it stands right now, I can't get the emesene icon in the indicator applet (or notification area, or whatever it's named) to change. No matter what icon theme I choose, even installing new themes, the icon is always the default one. Is that a standard behavior, or am I getting a bug? I'm running the latest version of emesene from their ppa (1.6-dev), on Lucid Lynx.
