  I will be using Visual Studio only for creating C#/XAML Windows Store apps. Is there any reason for me to purchase a "Professional" SKU of VS 2012 rather than just using the Express (free) "Metro apps with C#/XAML" version? The only thing I can think of is that I won't be able to use Resharper in the Express version (which I've already purchased a license for, but I use it at work, so that won't be a waste of money if I can't use it at home) - plus, I believe that even the Express SKU of VS 2012 will have similar code quality utility built in.

  I just want someone to clarify the following questions as Demis Bellot had announced a couple of weeks ago that ServiceStack would go commercial. Will previous versions of SS (prior to commercial licensing) always be opensource and use the same license as before? If I fork SS today (prior to commercial licensing) on Github, would it be illegal to maintain that after SS goes commercial? If the answer to question 2 is yes, then would I still be able to fork a previous version after SS goes commercial without worrying about the commercial license (all the while maintaining and releasing the source to the public)?

  I'm trying to find a solution or service that will allow for my company to automatically take a customer's credit card information via the web to keep on file and bill against based on how much they have used the services we provide. We need a service that will also handle the payment processing as well. Note that this is not recurring billing. The bill at the end of each month won't be the same. Presently, we are having to take a customer's credit card information over the phone and manually input it into Quickbooks, but this just doesn't work for scalability. We will still be manually invoicing the customers, but we need automated credit card acceptance and storage without the liabilities involved with storing it on our own server. Solutions that integrate with Wordpress would be a plus.

  Should I be using WAI-ARIA in my website builds? Will it have any benefit? Is anyone adding 'role' to their code at the moment? The tab, link, checkbox and slider roles, plus many more, aren't available yet for HTML5. From looking at the list of what is available (see below), and what will be coming in the future, it looks like we might be applying roles to a huge amount of tags on our pages. Its not an issue especially if it brings benefit to users using readers etc Also, a side question, will search engines give any benefits to sites using WAI-ARIA?   Having installed the Internet Explorer 9 release, I've experimented with the jumplists feature available in Windows 7 - drag a site tab down to the taskbar to create a jumplist. Works for Facebook and Twitter, anyway. I have my suspicions about the utility of this feature - it's a neat and possibly useful feature, yet is limited to the combination of IE9 and Windows 7, plus sites implementing the appropriate code. Given the relatively small audience at this point, is there any value in adding code to support this feature? And would it likely be more useful for a web application (e.g. Twitter, Facebook) than a typical website?

  Possible Duplicate: Which Content Management System (CMS) should I use? I am looking to start a new forum, with a traditional forum layout (like webhostingtalk, for example). In this space, I know phpBB and SMF are strong contenders. I do not know for sure the names of other great forum software that might exist... My most important need is that it should be easy to modify the display area, at the least, without having to dig too much into the core. Drupal excels in this area with its templating system, but the forum module doesn't look like the forum interface most people are used to... It would be a great plus if the software has alternative Captchas like question based or invisible Captcha. If it doesn't, I would like to be able to code it in without much trouble (that is, the software exposes a good API)

  Avant la version 4.6 du manager ASR, la notion de heartbeat s'entent uniquement entre le manager ASR et l'infrastructure Oracle. Il n'y avait pas de heartbeat au niveau de l'asset. Pour rappel, le heartbeat sert à assurer que la communication entre le manager ASR et l'infrastructure Oracle est toujours opérationnelle. Le manager ASR envoie quotidiennement un heartbeat. Si deux heartbeat consécutifs manquent à l'appel, les assets attachés passent en statut "No heartbeat" dans My Oracle Support (MOS), et un e-mail est envoyé au compte qui a servi à enregistré le manager ASR et aux contacts associés aux assets. La version 4.6 apporte une amélioration significative, dans la mesure ou elle introduit un heartbeat au niveau de l'asset, pour les telemetry sources suivantes : ILOM avec version de firmware 3.2.1.4 ou plus serveurs Fujitsu M-10 Solaris 11 via un Manager ASR relay Cette amélioration renforce la fiabilité de l'outil et mérite vraiment de passer un petit peu de temps pour upgrader le manager ASR en 4.6 (pour upgrader un manager ASR, voir ce billet).   I wrote a system in Java that I want to release under the terms of GPL v2 or later. I've used Apache Maven to deal with all the dependencies of the system, so I don't have the source code of any of the libraries used. I've already checked, all the libraries were released under GPL-compatible licenses (Apache v2, 3-clause BSD, MIT, LGPL v2 and v2.1). I have 3 questions about this scenario: 1) Can I release a package with only the binaries of code I wrote, not including the libraries, and distribute only the source code I wrote? 2) Can I release a package with all the binaries, including the libraries, and distribute only the source code I wrote? 3) Can I release a package with all the binaries, including the libraries, and distribute only the source code I wrote plus the source code of the libraries licensed under the LGPL license?
