  • php mysql flex unicode

    - by JonoB
    I have a problem with saving the £ symbol to a mysql database. I am running a flex front end, with a php + mysql backend When I save a record from flex, the string gets sent to the server as "This amount is £10" php views the string as above, and when it gets saved into the DB, it gets saved as "This amount is £10". My understanding is that this is correct based on MySQL or PHP is appending a  whenever the £ is used I now retrieve the above record, and it gets sent to flex as "This amount is £10". Flex correctly displays this in a textarea as "This amount is £10" I change another field in the same record in flex, and re-save the transaction. The string now gets sent to the server as "This amount is £10" The record is now saved into the DB as "The amount is £10". Each time the record is re-saved, this effect snowballs. Thanks for any advice you can give.

  • How to do animation using swing and clojure ?

    - by Humberto Pinheiro
    I'm trying to animate a chess piece in a board. First I created a java.util.Timer object that "scheduleAtFixedRate" a TimerTask implemented as a proxy function. So I kept a record of the piece to move (piece-moving-record) and when it's apropriate (when the user move the piece using the mouse) the TimerTask proxy function should be test if the record is not nil and execute the piece-moving function. The piece-moving function just updates the x and y coordinates of the piece, according to a vector pre-calculated. I put a add-watch on the piece-moving-record so when it changes it should repaint the board (canvas). The paint method tests if this piece-moving-record is not nil to paint it. The problem is that the animation doesn't appear. The piece just jump to the destiny, without the movement between. There is some problem with the animation scheme ou there is a better way to do it?

  • MySQL: Is it possible to return a "mixed" dataset?

    - by Tom
    Hi, I'm wondering if there's some clever way in MySQL to return a "mixed/balanced" dataset according to a specific criterion? To illustrate, let's say that there are potential results in a table that can be of Type 1 or Type 2 (i.e. a column has a value 1 or 2 for each record). Is there a clever query that would be able to directly return results alternating between 1 and 2 in sequence: 1st record is of type 1, 2nd record is of type 2, 3rd record is of type 1, 4th record is of type 2, etc... Apologies if the question is silly, just looking for some options. Of course, I could return any data and do this in PHP, but it does add some code. Thanks.

  • Postgresql sequences

    - by Dylan
    When I delete all records from a Postgresql table and then try to reset the sequence to start a new record with number 1 when it is inserted, i get different results : SELECT setval('tblname_id_seq', (SELECT COALESCE(MAX(id),1) FROM tblname)); This sets the current value of the sequence to 1, but the NEXT record (actually the first because there are no records yet) gets number 2! And I can't set it to 0, because the minimum value in the sequence is 1! When I use : ALTER SEQUENCE tblname_id_seq RESTART WITH 1; the first record that is inserted actually gets number 1 ! But the above code doesn't accept a SELECT as a value instead of 1. I wish to reset the sequence to number 1 when there are no records, and the first record then should start with 1. But when there ARE already records in the table, I want to reset the sequence so that the next record that is inserted will get {highest}+1 Does anyone have a clear solution for this?

  • C Struct : typedef Doubt !

    - by Mahesh
    In the given code snippet, I expected the error symbol Record not found. But it compiled and ran fine on Visual Studio 2010 Compiler. I ran it as a C program from Visual Studio 2010 Command Prompt in the manner - cl Record.c Record Now the doubt is, doesn't typedef check for symbols ? Does it work more like a forward declaration ? #include "stdio.h" #include "conio.h" typedef struct Record R; struct Record { int a; }; int main() { R obj = {10}; getch(); return 0; }

  • regular expression not behaving as expected - Python

    - by philippe
    I have the following function which is supposed to read a .html file and search for <input> tags, and inject a <input type='hidden' > tag into the string to be shown into the page. However, that condition is never met:( e.g the if statement is never executed. ) What's wrong with my regex? def print_choose( params, name ): filename = path + name f = open( filename, 'r' ) records = f.readlines() print "Content-Type: text/html" print page = "" flag = True for record in records: if re.match( '<input*', str(record) ) != None: print record page += record page += "<input type='hidden' name='pagename' value='psychology' />" else: page += record print page Thank you

  • INSERT INTO othertbl SELECT * tbl

    - by Harry
    Current situation: INSERT INTO othertbl SELECT * FROM tbl WHERE id = '1' So i want to copy a record from tbl to othertbl. Both tables have an autoincremented unique index. Now the new record should have a new index, rather then the value of the index of the originating record else copying results in a index not unique error. A solution would be to not use the * but since these tables have quite some columns i really think it's getting ugly. So,.. is there a better way to copy a record which results in a new record in othertbl which has a new autoincremented index without having to write out all columns in the query and using a NULL value for the index. -hope it makes sense....-

  • wcf http 504: Working on a mystery

    - by James Fleming
    Ok,  So you're here because you've been trying to solve the mystery of why you're getting a 504 error. If you've made it to this lonely corner of the Internet, then the advice you're getting from other bloggers isn't the answer you are after. It wasn't the answer I needed either, so once I did solve my problem, I thought I'd share the answer with you. For starters, if by some miracle, you landed here first you may not already know that the 504 error is NOT coming from IIS or Casini, that response code is coming from Fiddler. HTTP/1.1 504 Fiddler - Receive Failure Content-Type: text/html Connection: close Timestamp: 09:43:05.193 ReadResponse() failed: The server did not return a response for this request.       The take away here is Fiddler won't help you with the diagnosis and any further digging in that direction is a red herring. Assuming you've dug around a bit, you may have arrived at posts which suggest you may be getting the error because you're trying to hump too much data over the wire, and have an urgent need to employ an anti-pattern: due to a special case: http://delphimike.blogspot.com/2010/01/error-504-in-wcfnet-35.html Or perhaps you're experiencing wonky behavior using WCF-CustomIsolated Adapter on Windows Server 2008 64bit environment, in which case the rather fly MVP Dwight Goins' advice is what you need. http://dgoins.wordpress.com/2009/12/18/64bit-wcf-custom-isolated-%E2%80%93-rest-%E2%80%93-%E2%80%9C504%E2%80%9D-response/ For me, none of that was helpful. I could perform a get on a single record  http://localhost:8783/Criterion/Skip(0)/Take(1) but I couldn't get more than one record in my collection as in:  http://localhost:8783/Criterion/Skip(0)/Take(2) I didn't have a big payload, or a large number of objects (as you can see by the size of one record below) - - A-1B f5abd850-ec52-401a-8bac-bcea22c74138 .biological/legal mother This item refers to the supervisor’s evaluation of the caseworker’s ability to involve the biological/legal mother in the permanency planning process. 75d8ecb7-91df-475f-aa17-26367aeb8b21 false true Admin account 2010-01-06T17:58:24.88 1.20 764a2333-f445-4793-b54d-1c3084116daa So while I was able to retrieve one record without a hitch (thus the record above) I wasn't able to return multiple records. I confirmed I could get each record individually, (Skip(1)/Take(1))so it stood to reason the problem wasn't with the data at all, so I suspected a serialization error. The first step to resolving this was to enable WCF Tracing. Instructions on how to set it up are here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms733025.aspx. The tracing log led me to the solution. The use of type 'Application.Survey.Model.Criterion' as a get-only collection is not supported with NetDataContractSerializer.  Consider marking the type with the CollectionDataContractAttribute attribute or the SerializableAttribute attribute or adding a setter to the property. So I was wrong (but close!). The problem was a deserializing issue in trying to recreate my read only collection. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa347850.aspx#Y1455 So looking at my underlying model, I saw I did have a read only collection. Adding a setter was all it took.         public virtual ICollection<string> GoverningResponses         {             get             {                 if (!string.IsNullOrEmpty(GoverningResponse))                 {                     return GoverningResponse.Split(';');                 }                 else                     return null;             }                  } Hope this helps. If it does, post a comment.

    The Real Architects of Los Angeles: OTN Architect Day in LA - Oct 25 No gossip. No drama. No hair pulling. Just a full day of technical sessions and peer interaction focused on using Oracle technologies in today's cloud and SOA architectures. The event is free, but seating is limited, so register now. Thursday October 25, 2012. 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sofitel Los Angeles, 8555 Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90048. Why IT is a profession in 'flux' | ZDNet I usuallly don't post two items from the same person in one day, but this post from ZDNet blogger Joe McKendrick deals with some critical issues affecting those in IT. As McKendrick puts it: "IT professionals are under considerable pressure to deliver more value to the business, versus being good at coding and testing and deploying and integrating." Cloud, automation drive new growth in SOA governance market | ZDNet "SOA governance tools and processes learned over the past decade are now underpinning cloud projects as they scale across enterprises," reports Joe McKendrick. Checking whether the current user is in a BPM Swimlane | Christopher Karl Chan "The tricky part here is that the ADF Task Details Form is in fact part of a separate J2EE application to the main workspace," says Oracle Fusion Middleware A-Team member Christopher Karl Chan. "So if you try to use Java or Expression Language to get the logged in user you will only find anonymous and none of the BPM Roles you will be expecting. So what to do?" • Seperating Javascript and Html, when dynamically adding html via javascript

    - by optician
    I am currently building a very dynamic table for a list application, which will basically perform basic CRUD functions via AJAX. What I would like to do is separate the visual design and javascript to the point where I can change the design side without touching the JS side. This would only work where the design stays roughly the same(i would like to use it for rapid protyping) Here is an example. <table> <tr><td>record-123</td><td>I am line 123</td><td>delete row</td></tr> <tr><td>record-124</td><td>I am line 124</td><td>delete row</td></tr> <tr><td>record-125</td><td>I am line 125</td><td>delete row</td></tr> <tr><td>add new record</td></tr> </table> Now, when I add a new record, I would like to insert a new row of html, but I would rather not put this html into the javascript file. What I am considering is creating a row like this on the page, near the table. <tr style='visble:none;' id='template-row'><td>record-id</td><td>content-area</td><td>delete row</td></tr> And when I come to add the new row, I search the page for the tags with the id=template-row , and then grab it, do a string replace on it, and then put it in the right place in the page. As long as the design doesn't shift radically, and I keep the placeholder strings the same, it means designs can be quickly modified without touching the js. Can any give any advice on a methodology like this?

  • Problem using AVAudioRecorder.

    - by tek3
    Hi all, I am facing a strange problem with AVAudioRecorder. In my application i need to record audio and play it. I am creating my player as : if(recorder) { if(recorder.recording) [recorder stop]; [recorder release]; recorder = nil; } NSString * filePath = [NSHomeDirectory() stringByAppendingPathComponent: [NSString stringWithFormat:@"Documents/%@.caf",songTitle]]; NSDictionary *recordSettings = [[NSDictionary alloc] initWithObjectsAndKeys: [NSNumber numberWithFloat: 44100.0],AVSampleRateKey, [NSNumber numberWithInt: kAudioFormatAppleIMA4],AVFormatIDKey, [NSNumber numberWithInt: 1], AVNumberOfChannelsKey, [NSNumber numberWithInt: AVAudioQualityMax],AVEncoderAudioQualityKey,nil]; recorder = [[AVAudioRecorder alloc] initWithURL: [NSURL fileURLWithPath:filePath] settings: recordSettings error: nil]; recorder.delegate = self; if ([recorder prepareToRecord] == YES){ [recorder record]; I am releasing and creating player every time i press record button. But the problem is that ,AVAudiorecorder is taking some time before starting to record , and so if i press record button multiple times continuously ,my application freezes for some time. The same code works fine without any problem when headphones are connected to device...there is no delay in recording, and the app doesn't freeze even if i press record button multiple times. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

  • Problem merging similar XML files with XSL

    - by LOlliffe
    I have two documents that I need to merge, that happen in a way that I don't seem to be able to find covered in other examples. Namely, that it needs to match not only on a node's attribute at one level, but also on the value of an attribute a node level below that, to get that node's value. I'm trying to take this sample: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <marc:collection xmlns:marc="http://www.loc.gov/MARC21/slim" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <marc:record> <marc:datafield tag="035" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <marc:subfield code="a">12345</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield tag="041" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <marc:subfield code="a">eng</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"> <marc:subfield code="a">Art</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield tag="949" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <marc:subfield code="i">Review of conference proceedings</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> </marc:record> <marc:record> <marc:datafield tag="035" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <marc:subfield code="a">54321</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield tag="041" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <marc:subfield code="a">eng</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"> <marc:subfield code="a">Byzantine</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> </marc:record> </marc:collection> And when the value of "datafield" '035', "subfield" 'a' matches e.g. "12345" <marc:collection xmlns:marc="http://www.loc.gov/MARC21/slim" xmlns:fn="http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format"> <marc:record> <marc:datafield ind2=" " ind1=" " tag="035"> <marc:subfield code="a">12345</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield ind2="4" ind1=" " tag="650"> <marc:subfield code="a">General works</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Historians and critics</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Smith, John, 1834-1917</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield ind2="4" ind1=" " tag="650"> <marc:subfield code="a">Généralités</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Historiens et critiques d'art</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Dietrichson, Lorentz, 1834-1917</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield ind2=" " ind1=" " tag="654"> <marc:subfield code="a">General works</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield ind2=" " ind1=" " tag="654"> <marc:subfield code="a">Généralités</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="b">Historiens et critiques d'art</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="b">Smith, John, 1834-1917</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> </marc:record> <marc:record> <marc:datafield ind2=" " ind1=" " tag="035"> <marc:subfield code="a">54321</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield ind2="4" ind1=" " tag="650"> <marc:subfield code="a">General works</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Historians and critics</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Lange, Julius Henrik, 1838-1896</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> </marc:record> </marc:collection> The result should be: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <marc:collection xmlns:marc="http://www.loc.gov/MARC21/slim" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <marc:record> <marc:datafield tag="035" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <marc:subfield code="a">12345</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield tag="041" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <marc:subfield code="a">eng</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"> <marc:subfield code="a">Art</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield ind2="4" ind1=" " tag="650"> <marc:subfield code="a">General works</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Historians and critics</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Smith, John, 1834-1917</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield ind2="4" ind1=" " tag="650"> <marc:subfield code="a">Généralités</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Historiens et critiques d'art</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Dietrichson, Lorentz, 1834-1917</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield ind2=" " ind1=" " tag="654"> <marc:subfield code="a">General works</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield ind2=" " ind1=" " tag="654"> <marc:subfield code="a">Généralités</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="b">Historiens et critiques d'art</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="b">Smith, John, 1834-1917</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield tag="949" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <marc:subfield code="i">Review of conference proceedings</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> </marc:record> <marc:record> <marc:datafield tag="035" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <marc:subfield code="a">54321</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield tag="041" ind1=" " ind2=" "> <marc:subfield code="a">eng</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"> <marc:subfield code="a">Byzantine</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> <marc:datafield ind2="4" ind1=" " tag="650"> <marc:subfield code="a">General works</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Historians and critics</marc:subfield> <marc:subfield code="x">Lange, Julius Henrik, 1838-1896</marc:subfield> </marc:datafield> </marc:record> </marc:collection> I've tried using examples that I've found that did lookups, but none of them seemed to work.   • Gridview empty when SelectedIndexChanged called

    - by xan
    I have a DataGrid which is being bound dynamically to a database query. The user enters some search text into a text field, clicks search, and the code behind creates the appropriate database query using LINQ (searches a table based on the string and returns a limited set of the columns). It then sets the GridView datasource to be the query and calls DataBind(). protected void btnSearch_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { var query = from record in DB.Table where record.Name.Contains(txtSearch.Text) //Extra string checking etc. removed. select new { record.ID, record.Name, record.Date }; gvResults.DataSource = query; gvResults.DataBind(); } This works fine. When a user selects a row in the grid, the SelectedIndexChanged event handler gets the id from the row in the grid (one of the fields), queries the full record from the DB and then populates a set of editor / details fields with the records full details. protected void gvResults_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { int id = int.Parse(gvResults.SelectedRow.Cells[1].Text); DisplayDetails(id); } This works fine on my local machine where I'm developing the code. On the production server however, the function is called successfully, but the row and column count on gvResults, the GridVeiw is 0 - the table is empty. The GridView's viewstate is enabled and I can't see obvious differences. Have I made some naive assumptions, or am I relying on something that is likely to be configured differently in debug? Locally I am running an empty asp.net web project in VS2008 to make development quicker. The production server is running the sitecore CMS so is configured rather differently. Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks in advance!

  • searching XML documents using php

    - by dbomb101
    I am trying to make a search function using the combination of DOM, PHP and XML. I got something up and running but the problem is that my search function will only accept exact terms, on top of this am wondering if the method I picked the most efficient $searchTerm = "Lupe"; $doc = new DOMDocument(); foreach (file('musicInformation.xml')as $node) { $xmlString .= trim($node); } $doc->loadXML($xmlString); $records = $doc->documentElement->childNodes; $records = $doc->getElementsByTagName("musicdetails"); foreach( $records as $record ) { $artistnames = $record->getElementsByTagName("artistname"); $artistname = $artistnames->item(0)->nodeValue; $recordnames = $record->getElementsByTagName("recordname"); $recordname = $recordnames->item(0)->nodeValue; $recordtypes = $record->getElementsByTagName("recrodtype"); $recordtype = $recordtypes->item(0)->nodeValue; $formats = $record->getElementsByTagName("format"); $format = $formats->item(0)->nodeValue; $prices = $record->getElementsByTagName("price"); $price = $prices->item(0)->nodeValue; if($searchTerm == $artistname|| $searchTerm == $recordname || $searchTerm == $recordtype ||$searchTerm == $format || $searchTerm == $price) { echo "$artistname - $recordname - $recordtype - $format -$price\n"; }

  • XML/C#: Read content if only if attribute is correct

    - by Zach
    Hi Guys, I have an XML file as follows, and I'm trying to read the content of the Name tag, only if the attribute of the Record tag is what I want. (continued below code) The XML file is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <Database> <Record Number="1"> <Name>John Doe</Name> <Position>1</Position> <HoursWorked>290</HoursWorked> <LastMonthChecked>0310</LastMonthChecked> </Record> <Record Number="2"> <Name>Jane Doe</Name> <Position>1</Position> <HoursWorked>251</HoursWorked> <LastMonthChecked>0310</LastMonthChecked> </Record> </Database> This is the C# code I have so far: public static string GetName(int EmployeeNumber) { XmlTextReader DataReader = new XmlTextReader("Database.xml"); DataReader.MoveToContent(); while (DataReader.Read()) { if (DataReader.NodeType == XmlNodeType.Element && DataReader.HasAttributes && DataReader.Name == "Record") { DataReader.MoveToAttribute(EmployeeNumber); DataReader.MoveToContent(); if (DataReader.NodeType == XmlNodeType.Element && DataReader.Name == "Name") { return DataReader.ReadContentAsString(); } } } } So for example, if 2 is passed to the function, I want it to return the string "Jane Doe". I'm new to XML parsing, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Why does the OnDeserialization not fire for XML Deserialization?

    - by Jonathan
    I have a problem which I have been bashing my head against for the better part of three hours. I am almost certain that I've missed something blindingly obvious... I have a simple XML file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <WeightStore xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <Records> <Record actual="150" date="2010-05-01T00:00:00" /> <Record actual="155" date="2010-05-02T00:00:00" /> </Records> </WeightStore> I have a simple class structure: [Serializable] public class Record { [XmlAttribute("actual")] public double weight { get; set; } [XmlAttribute("date")] public DateTime date { get; set; } [XmlIgnore] public double trend { get; set; } } [Serializable] [XmlRoot("WeightStore")] public class SimpleWeightStore { [XmlArrayAttribute("Records")] private List<Record> records = new List<Record>(); public List<Record> Records { get { return records; } } [OnDeserialized()] public void OnDeserialized_Method(StreamingContext context) { // This code never gets called Console.WriteLine("OnDeserialized"); } } I am using these in both calling code and in the class files: using System.Xml.Serialization; using System.Runtime.Serialization; I have some calling code: SimpleWeightStore weight_store_reload = new SimpleWeightStore(); TextReader reader = new StringReader(xml); XmlSerializer deserializer = new XmlSerializer(weight_store.GetType()); weight_store_reload = (SimpleWeightStore)deserializer.Deserialize(reader); The problem is that I am expecting OnDeserialized_Method to get called, and it isn't. I suspect it might have something to do with the fact that it's XML deserialization rather than Runtime deserialization, and perhaps I am using the wrong attribute name, but I can't find out what it might be. Any ideas, folks?

  • Setting up a pc bluetooth server for android

    - by Del
    Alright, I've been reading a lot of topics the past two or three days and nothing seems to have asked this. I am writing a PC side server for my andriod device, this is for exchanging some information and general debugging. Eventually I will be connecting to a SPP device to control a microcontroller. I have managed, using the following (Android to pc) to connect to rfcomm channel 11 and exchange data between my android device and my pc. Method m = device.getClass().getMethod("createRfcommSocket", new Class[] { int.class }); tmp = (BluetoothSocket) m.invoke(device, Integer.valueOf(11)); I have attempted the createRfcommSocketToServiceRecord(UUID) method, with absolutely no luck. For the PC side, I have been using the C Bluez stack for linux. I have the following code which registers the service and opens a server socket: int main(int argc, char **argv) { struct sockaddr_rc loc_addr = { 0 }, rem_addr = { 0 }; char buf[1024] = { 0 }; char str[1024] = { 0 }; int s, client, bytes_read; sdp_session_t *session; socklen_t opt = sizeof(rem_addr); session = register_service(); s = socket(AF_BLUETOOTH, SOCK_STREAM, BTPROTO_RFCOMM); loc_addr.rc_family = AF_BLUETOOTH; loc_addr.rc_bdaddr = *BDADDR_ANY; loc_addr.rc_channel = (uint8_t) 11; bind(s, (struct sockaddr *)&loc_addr, sizeof(loc_addr)); listen(s, 1); client = accept(s, (struct sockaddr *)&rem_addr, &opt); ba2str( &rem_addr.rc_bdaddr, buf ); fprintf(stderr, "accepted connection from %s\n", buf); memset(buf, 0, sizeof(buf)); bytes_read = read(client, buf, sizeof(buf)); if( bytes_read 0 ) { printf("received [%s]\n", buf); } sprintf(str,"to Android."); printf("sent [%s]\n",str); write(client, str, sizeof(str)); close(client); close(s); sdp_close( session ); return 0; } sdp_session_t *register_service() { uint32_t svc_uuid_int[] = { 0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000 }; uint8_t rfcomm_channel = 11; const char *service_name = "Remote Host"; const char *service_dsc = "What the remote should be connecting to."; const char *service_prov = "Your mother"; uuid_t root_uuid, l2cap_uuid, rfcomm_uuid, svc_uuid; sdp_list_t *l2cap_list = 0, *rfcomm_list = 0, *root_list = 0, *proto_list = 0, *access_proto_list = 0; sdp_data_t *channel = 0, *psm = 0; sdp_record_t *record = sdp_record_alloc(); // set the general service ID sdp_uuid128_create( &svc_uuid, &svc_uuid_int ); Let me reiterate, I can get it to work, but not using service discovery protocol. I've tried a several different UUIDs and on two different computers, although I only have my HTC Incredible to test with. I've also heard some rumors that the BT stack wasn't working on the HTC Droid, but that isn't the case, at least, for PC interaction.
