  • Comments section being indented by mysterious CSS

    - by Steve
I use Disqus comments plugin for Wordpress, and the comments section is indented to the right like a blockquote is. The code appearing in the front end post is: <div id="disqus_thread"> <div id="dsq-content"> <ul id="dsq-comments"> </ul> </div> </div> I cannot find any instance of disqus_thread or dsq using a search of the theme folder; not that searching inside file in Windows 7 isn't a complete pain in the arse. Can you see why this is happening? Example post here.

  • Why is my google translate data not showing up in analytics?

    - by learnvst
I have a google translate widget on my website with gaTrack set to true and the correct gaId, but no translate events show up in analytics under content Events Overview after a week of the widget being live. The code snippet below was auto generated by the translate website, and works fine on the site. Any ideas why I'm not getting any translate events data? <li> <div id="google_translate_element"></div><script type="text/javascript"> function googleTranslateElementInit() { new google.translate.TranslateElement({pageLanguage: 'en', layout: google.translate.TranslateElement.InlineLayout.SIMPLE, gaTrack: true, gaId: 'UA-blahblah'}, 'google_translate_element'); } </script><script type="text/javascript" src="//translate.google.com/translate_a/element.js?cb=googleTranslateElementInit"></script> </li>

  • How to Inspect Javascript Object

    - by Madhan ayyasamy
You can inspect any JavaScript objects and list them as indented, ordered by levels. It shows you type and property name. If an object property can't be accessed, an error message will be shown. Here the snippets for inspect javascript object.function inspect(obj, maxLevels, level){  var str = '', type, msg;    // Start Input Validations    // Don't touch, we start iterating at level zero    if(level == null)  level = 0;    // At least you want to show the first level    if(maxLevels == null) maxLevels = 1;    if(maxLevels < 1)             return '<font color="red">Error: Levels number must be > 0</font>';    // We start with a non null object    if(obj == null)    return '<font color="red">Error: Object <b>NULL</b></font>';    // End Input Validations    // Each Iteration must be indented    str += '<ul>';    // Start iterations for all objects in obj    for(property in obj)    {      try      {          // Show "property" and "type property"          type =  typeof(obj[property]);          str += '<li>(' + type + ') ' + property +                  ( (obj[property]==null)?(': <b>null</b>'):('')) + '</li>';          // We keep iterating if this property is an Object, non null          // and we are inside the required number of levels          if((type == 'object') && (obj[property] != null) && (level+1 < maxLevels))          str += inspect(obj[property], maxLevels, level+1);      }      catch(err)      {        // Is there some properties in obj we can't access? • Is there a class or id that will cause an ad to be blocked by most major adblockers?

    - by Moak
Is there a general class or ID for a html element that a high majority of popular adblockers will block on a website it has no information for. My intention is to have my advertisement blocked, avoiding automatic blocking is easy enough... I was thinking of maybe lending some ids or classes from big advertisment companies that area already being fought off quite actively. right now my html <ul id=partners> <li class=advertisment><a href=# class=sponsor><img class=banner></a></li> </ul> Will this work or is there a more solid approach?

  • Adjusting server-side tickrate dynamically

    - by Stuart Blackler
I know nothing of game development/this site, so I apologise if this is completely foobar. Today I experimented with building a small game loop for a network game (think MW3, CSGO etc). I was wondering why they do not build in automatic rate adjustment based on server performance? Would it affect the client that much if the client knew this frame is based on this tickrate? Has anyone attempted this before? Here is what my noobish C++ brain came up with earlier. It will improve the tickrate if it has been stable for x ticks. If it "lags", the tickrate will be reduced down by y amount: // GameEngine.cpp : Defines the entry point for the console application. // #ifdef WIN32 #include <Windows.h> #else #include <sys/time.h> #include <ctime> #endif #include<iostream> #include <dos.h> #include "stdafx.h" using namespace std; UINT64 GetTimeInMs() { #ifdef WIN32 /* Windows */ FILETIME ft; LARGE_INTEGER li; /* Get the amount of 100 nano seconds intervals elapsed since January 1, 1601 (UTC) and copy it * to a LARGE_INTEGER structure. */ GetSystemTimeAsFileTime(&ft); li.LowPart = ft.dwLowDateTime; li.HighPart = ft.dwHighDateTime; UINT64 ret = li.QuadPart; ret -= 116444736000000000LL; /* Convert from file time to UNIX epoch time. */ ret /= 10000; /* From 100 nano seconds (10^-7) to 1 millisecond (10^-3) intervals */ return ret; #else /* Linux */ struct timeval tv; gettimeofday(&tv, NULL); uint64 ret = tv.tv_usec; /* Convert from micro seconds (10^-6) to milliseconds (10^-3) */ ret /= 1000; /* Adds the seconds (10^0) after converting them to milliseconds (10^-3) */ ret += (tv.tv_sec * 1000); return ret; #endif } int _tmain(int argc, _TCHAR* argv[]) { int sv_tickrate_max = 1000; // The maximum amount of ticks per second int sv_tickrate_min = 100; // The minimum amount of ticks per second int sv_tickrate_adjust = 10; // How much to de/increment the tickrate by int sv_tickrate_stable_before_increment = 1000; // How many stable ticks before we increase the tickrate again int sys_tickrate_current = sv_tickrate_max; // Always start at the highest possible tickrate for the best performance int counter_stable_ticks = 0; // How many ticks we have not lagged for UINT64 __startTime = GetTimeInMs(); int ticks = 100000; while(ticks > 0) { int maxTimeInMs = 1000 / sys_tickrate_current; UINT64 _startTime = GetTimeInMs(); // Long code here... cout << "."; UINT64 _timeTaken = GetTimeInMs() - _startTime; if(_timeTaken < maxTimeInMs) { Sleep(maxTimeInMs - _timeTaken); counter_stable_ticks++; if(counter_stable_ticks >= sv_tickrate_stable_before_increment) { // reset the stable # ticks counter counter_stable_ticks = 0; // make sure that we don't go over the maximum tickrate if(sys_tickrate_current + sv_tickrate_adjust <= sv_tickrate_max) { sys_tickrate_current += sv_tickrate_adjust; // let me know in console #DEBUG cout << endl << "Improving tickrate. • Joomla 2.5 -- Adding a custom field to menu-item-edit-form

    - by philipp
I would like to add a new Field (Select list of all menu-items) to the menu item-edit form. To do so I was setting up an system plugin with the following directory structure: languageroot/languageroot.php languageroot/form/form.xml As you can see in the posted code, that is all very basic to try out. Only after adding the following lines: <li <?php echo $this-form-getLabel( 'langroot-text', 'main' )? <?php echo $this-form-getInput('langroot-text', 'main' ); ? </li to: /admininstrator/components/com_menus/views/item/tmpl/edit.php a textfield shows up. Is it possible to inject the field without touching the edit.php? Is there anywhere a good tutorial about the JForm api? Is a system-plugin the right kind, or could it be a content plugin, or should it even be a component?

  • Web optimization

    - by hmloo
    1. CSS Optimization Organize your CSS code Good CSS organization helps with future maintainability of the site, it helps you and your team member understand the CSS more quickly and jump to specific styles. Structure CSS code For small project, you can break your CSS code in separate blocks according to the structure of the page or page content. for example you can break your CSS document according the content of your web page(e.g. Header, Main Content, Footer) Structure CSS file For large project, you may feel having too much CSS code in one place, so it's the best to structure your CSS into more CSS files, and use a master style sheet to import these style sheets. this solution can not only organize style structure, but also reduce server request./*--------------Master style sheet--------------*/ @import "Reset.css"; @import "Structure.css"; @import "Typography.css"; @import "Forms.css"; Create index for your CSS Another important thing is to create index at the beginning of your CSS file, index can help you quickly understand the whole CSS structure./*---------------------------------------- 1. Header 2. Navigation 3. Main Content 4. Sidebar 5. Footer ------------------------------------------*/ Writing efficient CSS selectors keep in mind that browsers match CSS selectors from right to left and the order of efficiency for selectors 1. id (#myid) 2. class (.myclass) 3. tag (div, h1, p) 4. adjacent sibling (h1 + p) 5. child (ul > li) 6. descendent (li a) 7. universal (*) 8. attribute (a[rel="external"]) 9. pseudo-class and pseudo element (a:hover, li:first) the rightmost selector is called "key selector", so when you write your CSS code, you should choose more efficient key selector. Here are some best practice: Don't tag-qualify Never do this:div#myid div.myclass .myclass#myid IDs are unique, classes are more unique than a tag so they don't need a tag. Doing so makes the selector less efficient. Avoid overqualifying selectors for example#nav a is more efficient thanul#nav li a Don't repeat declarationExample: body {font-size:12px;}h1 {font-size:12px;font-weight:bold;} since h1 is already inherited from body, so you don't need to repeate atrribute. Using 0 instead of 0px Always using #selector { margin: 0; } There’s no need to include the px after 0, removing all those superfluous px can reduce the size of your CSS file. Group declaration Example: h1 { font-size: 16pt; } h1 { color: #fff; } h1 { font-family: Arial, sans-serif; } it’s much better to combine them:h1 { font-size: 16pt; color: #fff; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; } Group selectorsExample: h1 { color: #fff; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; } h2 { color: #fff; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; } it would be much better if setup as:h1, h2 { color: #fff; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; } Group attributeExample: h1 { color: #fff; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; } h2 { color: #fff; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; } you can set different rules for specific elements after setting a rule for a grouph1, h2 { color: #fff; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; } h2 { font-size: 16pt; } Using Shorthand PropertiesExample: #selector { margin-top: 8px; margin-right: 4px; margin-bottom: 8px; margin-left: 4px; }Better: #selector { margin: 8px 4px 8px 4px; }Best: #selector { margin: 8px 4px; } a good diagram illustrated how shorthand declarations are interpreted depending on how many values are specified for margin and padding property. instead of using:#selector { background-image: url(”logo.png”); background-position: top left; background-repeat: no-repeat; } is used:#selector { background: url(logo.png) no-repeat top left; } 2. Image Optimization Image Optimizer Image Optimizer is a free Visual Studio2010 extension that optimizes PNG, GIF and JPG file sizes without quality loss. It uses SmushIt and PunyPNG for the optimization. Just right click on any folder or images in Solution Explorer and choose optimize images, then it will automatically optimize all PNG, GIF and JPEG files in that folder. CSS Image Sprites CSS Image Sprites are a way to combine a collection of images to a single image, then use CSS background-position property to shift the visible area to show the required image, many images can take a long time to load and generates multiple server requests, so Image Sprite can reduce the number of server requests and improve site performance. You can use many online tools to generate your image sprite and CSS, and you can also try the Sprite and Image Optimization framework released by The ASP.NET team.

  • Is the title attribute (not tag) important to SEO?

    - by JasonBirch
The title attribute is an HTML standard element available across most tags. e.g. <li><a title="Widgets listed by household function" href="/widgets/by-function.html">by Function</a></li> I've used this attribute on some sites for usability; many browsers pop up a "tooltip" over the link with the more detailed description of what is on the other side. I've been wondering if doing so is having a negative effect on my rankings (hidden text?) or if it has any effect at all on onsite or offsite keyword relevance calculations. Does anyone know of any research done on this?

  • The weirdest css issue I have ever seen

    - by jasondavis
Below I have 2 css codes for a div, please note that the first one does not even have a div on the page or ANYTHING with it's name on it. I can also rename it to anything. Now where the weird part comes in. The second bit of code below has a width of 520px, the only way that the div on the page will be 520px is if I leave the css code thats above that one, the 1st one with no existing div on the page HAS to be on the page for the second css code to work, At first I thought it has to be a browser caching issue, so I clear my cache and that does nothing, I then try 2 other browsers and they all have the same result. I add the 1st bit of code into the page and the second bit works, I take the first bit away and the second bit does not work. AM i overlooking something here? .commentwrappsdfsde2{width:950px;margin:0 0;padding:0;} .commentwrapper{width:520px;margin-right:auto;margin-left:auto;} Here is the whole page code <style> <!-- css for user photos--> div.imageSub img.female { border-top: 1px solid #FF3399; } div.imageSub img.male { border-top: 1px solid #3399FF; } div.imageSub img { z-index: 1; margin: 0; display: block; } div.imageSub div { position: relative; margin: -15px 0 0; padding: 5px; height: 5px; line-height: 4px; text-align: center; overflow: hidden; font-family:Trebuchet MS,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:12px; font-weight: bold; } div.imageSub div.blackbg { z-index: 2; background-color: #000; -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=70)"; filter: alpha(opacity=70); opacity: 0.5; } div.imageSub div.label { z-index: 3; color: white; } <!-- end photo block--> /* Comments */ .commentwrappsdfsde2{width:950px;margin:0 0;padding:0;} .commentwrapper{width:520px;margin-right:auto;margin-left:auto;} #comments ol.commentlist li { list-style-type:none; padding:20px; background:none; } #comments ol.commentlist li.thread-even { background:#f6f6f6; border-top:1px solid #e3e3e3; border-bottom:1px solid #e3e3e3; } #comments ul.children li ul.children,#comments .commentlist{padding:0;} </style> <div class="commentwrapper"> <div id="comments"> <ol class="commentlist"> <li class="comment thread-even " > Comment 1 </li> </ol> </div> </div>

  • css problem lining up some icons...

    - by Ronedog
    I'm having a problem lining up some icons and am new enough to css that I'm not exactly sure how to explain this. So I've attached a picture of what the out put is rendering like. I've also included what the css and html code is. Hopefully someone can help point me in the right direction to help fix this. I want the "edit", "archive", "delete" icons to all line up in the right side exactly the same as the first row in the picture. Here is the html: <ul id="nav"> <li>California <div class="portf_edit"> <span> <img src="../images/edit.png"> </span> </div> <div class="portf_archive"> <span> <img src="../images/archive.png"> </span> </div> <div class="portf_delete"> <span> <img src="../images/delete.png"> </span> </div> </li> <li>Hyrum <div class="portf_edit"> <span> <img src="../images/edit.png"> </span> </div> <div class="portf_archive"> <span> <img src="../images/archive.png"> </span> </div> <div class="portf_delete"> <span> <img src="../images/delete.png"> </span> </div> </li> Here is the css: li { list-style-type:none; vertical-align: bottom; list-style-image: none; left:0px; text-align:left; } ul { list-style-type: none; vertical-align: bottom; list-style-image: none; left:0px; } ul#nav{ margin-left:0; padding-left:0px; text-indent:15px; } .portf_edit{ float:right; position: relative; right:50px; display:block; } .portf_archive{ float:right; position: relative; right:-5px; display:block; } .portf_delete{ float:right; position: relative; right: -60px; display:block; } Here's what is being output: Any ideas where to start? Thanks.

  • How to use jQuery to assign a class to only one radio button in a group when user clicks on it?

    - by xraminx
    I have the following markup. I would like to add class_A to <p class="subitem-text"> (that holds the radio button and the label) when user clicks on the <input> or <label>. If user clicks some other radio-button/label in the same group, I would like to add class_A to this radio-button's parent paragraph and remove class_A from any other paragraph that hold radio-buttons/labels in that group. Effectively, in each <li>, only one <p class="subitem-text"> should have class_A added to it. Is there a jQuery plug-in that does this? Or is there a simple trick that can do this? <ul> <li> <div class="myitem-wrapper" id="10"> <div class="myitem clearfix"> <span class="number">1</span> <div class="item-text">Some text here </div> </div> <p class="subitem-text"> <input type="radio" name="10" value="15" id="99"> <label for="99">First subitem </label> </p> <p class="subitem-text"> <input type="radio" name="10" value="77" id="21"> <label for="21">Second subitem</label> </p> </div> </li> <li> <div class="myitem-wrapper" id="11"> <div class="myitem clearfix"> <span class="number">2</span> <div class="item-text">Some other text here ... </div> </div> <p class="subitem-text"> <input type="radio" name="11" value="32" id="201"> <label for="201">First subitem ... </label> </p> <p class="subitem-text"> <input type="radio" name="11" value="68" id="205"> <label for="205">Second subitem ...</label> </p> <p class="subitem-text"> <input type="radio" name="11" value="160" id="206"> <label for="206">Third subitem ...</label> </p> </div> </li>

  • Pagination links do not work properly - incorrect PHP function??

    - by ClarkSKent
    Hi everyone, I am still trying to figure out how to fix my pagination script to work properly. the problem I am having is when I click any of the pagination number links to go the next page, the new content does not load. literally nothing happens and when looking at the console in Firebug, nothing is sent or loaded. I have on the main page 3 links to filter the content and display it. When any of these links are clicked the results are loaded and displayed along with the associated pagination numbers for that specific content. I believe the problem is coming from the function(generate_pagination.php (seen below)). Here is the main page so you can how I am including and starting the function(I'm new to php): <?php include_once('generate_pagination.php'); ?> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery_pagination.js"></script> <div id="loading" ></div> <div id="content" data-page="1"></div> <ul id="pagination"> <?php generate_pagination($sql) ?> </ul> <br /> <br /> <a href="#" class="category" id="marketing">Marketing</a> <a href="#" class="category" id="automotive">Automotive</a> <a href="#" class="category" id="sports">Sports</a> This is as mentioned above, where i think the problem persists since I know nothing of the function formats and how to properly incorporate them: <?php function generate_pagination($sql) { include_once('config.php'); $per_page = 3; //Calculating no of pages $result = mysql_query($sql); $count = mysql_fetch_row($result); $pages = ceil($count[0]/$per_page); //Pagination Numbers for($i=1; $i<=$pages; $i++) { echo '<li class="page_numbers" id="'.$i.'">'.$i.'</li>'; } } $ids=$_GET['ids']; generate_pagination("SELECT COUNT(*) FROM explore WHERE category='$ids'"); ?> I thought I might as well through in the jquery if someone wants to see: $(document).ready(function(){ //Display Loading Image function Display_Load() { $("#loading").fadeIn(900,0); $("#loading").html("<img src='bigLoader.gif' />"); } //Hide Loading Image function Hide_Load() { $("#loading").fadeOut('slow'); }; //Default Starting Page Results $("#pagination li:first").css({'color' : '#FF0084'}).css({'border' : 'none'}); Display_Load(); $("#content").load("pagination_data.php?page=1", Hide_Load()); //Pagination Click $("#pagination li").click(function(){ Display_Load(); //CSS Styles $("#pagination li") .css({'border' : 'solid #dddddd 1px'}) .css({'color' : '#0063DC'}); $(this) .css({'color' : '#FF0084'}) .css({'border' : 'none'}); //Loading Data var pageNum = this.id; $("#content").load("pagination_data.php?page=" + pageNum, function(){ $(this).attr('data-page', pageNum); Hide_Load(); }); }); // Editing below. // Sort content Marketing $("a.category").click(function() { Display_Load(); var this_id = $(this).attr('id'); $.get("pagination.php", { category: this.id }, function(data){ //Load your results into the page var pageNum = $('#content').attr('data-page'); $("#pagination").load('generate_pagination.php?category=' + pageNum +'&ids='+ this_id ); $("#content").load("filter_marketing.php?page=" + pageNum +'&id='+ this_id, Hide_Load()); }); }); }); Any help would be appreciated on getting the function to work properly. Thank you.

  • Please help! Every Post link links to the most recent post Wordpress

    - by kwek-kwek
I got the site up on time, with one blog post up. Later I added another one and tested it. Big problem! Any link that used to take you to the old post (ie: side-bar "Recent Posts" links) now takes you to the newest one. I tested it by adding a third post, and got the same result. This is a custom wordpress theme and I have a, page.php <?php get_header(); ?> <?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?> <div id="BodyWrap"> <!--MAIN CONT--> <div id="mainCont"> <?php get_sidebar(); • ListView not firing OnItemCommand after preventing postback

    - by nevizi
    Hi there, I have a ListView inside a FormView that, for some strange reason, doesn't fire neither the ItemInsert nor the ItemCommand event. I'm populating the ListView with a generic list. I bind the list to the ListView on the OnPreRenderComplete. <asp:ListView runat="server" ID="lvReferences" DataKeyNames="idReference" OnItemInserting="ContractReferences_Inserting" OnItemDeleting="ContractReferences_Deleting" InsertItemPosition="LastItem" OnItemCommand="ContractReferences_Command" OnItemCreated="ContractReferences_ItemDataBound"> <LayoutTemplate> <ul> <asp:PlaceHolder ID="itemPlaceholder" runat="server" /> </ul> </LayoutTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <li class="obsItem"> <a href="#"><asp:TextBox ID="valRef" runat="server" Width="5px" Enabled="false" Text='<%#Bind("idProcessRecordRef") %>' /></a> <asp:TextBox id="txtRef" runat="server" Text='<%#Bind("description") %>' /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btDelete" runat="server" CommandName="Delete" ImageUrl="~/_layouts/web.commons/Images/eliminar.png" /> </li> </ItemTemplate> <InsertItemTemplate> <li class="obsItem"> <a href="#"><asp:TextBox ID="valRef" runat="server" Width="5px" Enabled="false" /></a> <asp:TextBox id="txtRef" runat="server" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btDetail" CausesValidation="false" OnClientClick="javascript:openPopup();return false;" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/_layouts/web.commons/Images/novo.png" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btSaveDs" runat="server" CommmandName="Insert" CausesValidation="false" ImageUrl="~/_layouts/web.commons/Images/gravarObs.png" /> </li> </InsertItemTemplate> </asp:ListView> My ItemDataBound method is: protected void ContractReferences_ItemDataBound(object sender, ListViewItemEventArgs e) { if (!IsPostBack) { TextBox valRef = e.Item.FindControl("valRef") as TextBox; TextBox txtRef = e.Item.FindControl("txtRef") as TextBox; ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(this, this.GetType(), "popup", "function openPopup(){ window.open('ContractPicker.aspx?c1=" + valRef.ClientID + "&c2=" + txtRef.ClientID + "');}", true); } } So, basically, in the InsertItemTemplate I put a button that opens a LOV and populates my valRef and txtRef fields. I had to put a "return false" in order for the parent page to not postback (and I think the problem lies here...). Then, when I click in the ImageButton with the CommandName="Insert", instead of firing the ItemCommand event, it enters once again in the ItemDataBound handler. So, any ideas? Thanks!

  • ASP.NET - FileUpload with PostBack Trigger

    - by Echilon
    I have an UpdatePanel which has an upload control and a button to upload. The button is set as a trigger, but the event handler for the button fails to execute on the first PostBack. My ASPX code is: <asp:UpdatePanel ID="updPages" runat="server" UpdateMode="Conditional"> <ContentTemplate> <div class="tabs"> <ul> <li><asp:LinkButton ID="lnkContentsPages" runat="server" OnClick="updateContents" CommandArgument="pages">Pages</asp:LinkButton></li> <%-- these tabs change the ActiveViewIndex to show a different UserControl --%> <li><asp:LinkButton ID="lnkContentsImages" runat="server" OnClick="updateContents" CommandArgument="images">Images</asp:LinkButton></li> </ul> <div class="tabbedContent"> <asp:MultiView runat="server" ID="mltContentsInner" ActiveViewIndex="0"> <asp:View ID="viwContentsImages" runat="server"> // ajax usercontrol for a list of images - works fine with ajax <fieldset> <legend>Upload New</legend> <div class="formRow"> <asp:Label ID="lblFile" runat="server" Text="Filename" AssociatedControlID="uplFile" /> <asp:FileUpload ID="uplFile" runat="server" /> </div> <div class="formRow"> <asp:Label ID="lblImageDescription" runat="server" Text="Description" AssociatedControlID="txtImageDescription" /> <asp:TextBox runat="server" ID="txtImageDescription" /> </div> <asp:Button ID="btnUpload" runat="server" Text="Upload" CssClass="c3button btnUpload" CausesValidation="false" OnClick="btnUpload_Click" /> </fieldset> </asp:View> <asp:View ID="viwContentsPages" runat="server"> // ajax usercontrol - works fine with ajax </asp:View> </asp:MultiView> </div> </div> </ContentTemplate> <Triggers> <asp:PostBackTrigger ControlID="btnUpload" /> </Triggers> </asp:UpdatePanel> The button works without fail on the second and subsequent times, just not the first. Is there any reason for this?

  • Zend Framework + Uplodify Flash Uploader Troubles

    - by Richard Knop
I've been trying to get the Uploadify flash uploader (www.uploadify.com) to work with Zend Framework, with no success so far. I have placed all Uploadify files under /public/flash-uploader directory. In the controller I include all required files and libraries like this: $this->view->headScript()->appendFile('/js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js'); $this->view->headLink()->appendStylesheet('/flash-uploader/css/default.css'); $this->view->headLink()->appendStylesheet('/flash-uploader/css/uploadify.css'); $this->view->headScript()->appendFile('/flash-uploader/scripts/swfobject.js'); $this->view->headScript()->appendFile('/flash-uploader/scripts/jquery.uploadify.v2.1.0.min.js'); And then I activate the plugin like this (#photo is id of the input file field): $(document).ready(function() { $("#photo").uploadify({ 'uploader' : '/flash-uploader/scripts/uploadify.swf', 'script' : 'my-account/flash-upload', 'cancelImg' : '/flash-uploader/cancel.png', 'folder' : 'uploads/tmp', 'queueID' : 'fileQueue', 'auto' : true, 'multi' : true, 'sizeLimit' : 2097152 }); }); As you can see I am targeting the my-account/flash-upload script as a backend processing (my-account is a controller, flash-upload is an action). My form markup looks like this: <form enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post" action="/my-account/upload-public-photo"><ol> <li><label for="photo" class="optional">File Queue<div id="fileQueue"></div></label> <input type="hidden" name="MAX_FILE_SIZE" value="31457280" id="MAX_FILE_SIZE" /> <input type="file" name="photo" id="photo" class="input-file" /></li> <li><div class="button"> <input type="submit" name="upload_public_photo" id="upload_public_photo" value="Save" class="input-submit" /></div></li></ol></form> And yet it's not working. The browse button doesn't even show up as in the demo page, I get only a regular input file field. Any ideas where could the problem be? I've already been staring into the code for hours and I cannot see any mistake anywhere and I'm starting to be exhausted after going through the same 30 lines of code 30 times in a row.
