  • AJAX form sections - how to pass url of next stage of form

    Hi, I've got a multi-part form (in a PHP MVC setup) which I have working correctly without javascript enhancement. I'm starting to add the AJAX form handling code which will handle each stage of a form submission, validating/saving data etc, before using AJAX to load the next stage of the form. I'm wondering how best to pass the URL of the next stage to the current form being processed, so that my jQuery form handling code can process the current form, then load the next part via AJAX. The form "action" is different from what the url of the next stage of the form is - what do you think would be good practice here? I was thinking about either appending the url of the next stage to the form action url, via a query string - then just use javascript to extract this url when the form is successfully processed. The other option is via a hidden form element. Not sure what other client side options I have here Any thoughts?

    I want to get data using CURL but I have a problem. When I set the url like this $url = "https://graph.facebook.com/fql?q=SELECT name FROM page"; // continues I do not have anything returned. When I copy the browser url, this is $url = "https://graph.facebook.com/fql?q=SELECT%20name%20FROM%20page"; I get the results through CURL. I tried htmlentities and htmlspecialchars without luck.   • Tabs.url is undefined

    I have no clue what I'm doing wrong here! This should be working I believe. I'm writing a chrome extension and this should get the current tab's url and set the html of #current-tab to the url (for testing purposes). The code successfully gets to the callback, but it says that tab.url is undefined when I put it in an alert box, and it does not put it's value in #current-tab.     Very close to what I'm trying to do but not quite the answer I think I'm looking for: How to map IDictionary<string, Entity> in Fluent NHibernate I'm trying to implement an IDictionary<String, IList<MyEntity>>and map this collection to the database using NHibernate. I do understand that you cannot map collections of collections directly in NHibernate, but I do need the functionality of accessing an ordered list of elements by key. I've implemented IUserCollectionType for my IList<MyEntity> so that I can use IDictionary<String, MyCustomCollectionType> but am struggling with how to get the map to work as I'd like.     I have a site with some URLs that look like this: /prefix/ID, where /prefix is static and ID is unique. Using Nginx as a reverse proxy, I'd like to cache these pages at the /ID portion only, omitting the prefix. Can I configure Nginx so that a request for the original URL is cached at the shortened URL? I tried this (I'm omitting some irrelevant parts) but obviously it's not the correct solution: http { map $request_uri $page_id { default $request_uri; ~^/prefix/(?<id>.+)$ $id; } location / { proxy_cache_key $page_id } }

  • Trailing dots in url result in empty 404 page on IIS

    I have an ASP.NET site on IIS8, but IIS7.5 behaves exactly the same. When I enter a URL like: mysite.com/foo/bar.. I get the following error with a '500 Internal Server Error' status code: even though I have custom error pages set up for 500 and 404 and I don't see anything wrong with my custom error page. In my web.config system.web node I have the following: <customErrors mode="On"> <error statusCode="404" redirect="/404.aspx" /> </customErrors> If I remove that section, I get a 404.0 response back but the page itself is blank. In web.config system.webServer I have: <httpErrors errorMode="DetailedLocalOnly"> <remove statusCode="404" subStatusCode="-1" /> <error statusCode="404" prefixLanguageFilePath="" path="404.html" responseMode="File" /> </httpErrors> But whether that is there or not, I get the same blank 404.0 page rather than my expected custom error page, or at least an internal IIS message. So first of all why is the asp.net handler picking up a request for '..' (also works with one or more trailing dots) If I remove the following handler from applicacationHost.config: <add name="ExtensionlessUrlHandler-Integrated-4.0" path="*." verb="GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG" type="System.Web.Handlers.TransferRequestHandler" preCondition="integratedMode,runtimeVersionv4.0" responseBufferLimit="0" /> I get my expected custom 404 page, but of course removing that handler breaks routing in asp.net among other things. Looking at the failure trace I see: Windows Authentication is disabled for the site, so why is that module even in the request pipeline? For now my fix is to use the URL Rewrite module with the following rule: <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="Trailing Dots" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="\.+$" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="/404.html" appendQueryString="false" /> </rule> </rules> </rewrite> This works okay, but I wonder why IIS/ASP.NET behaves this way?

I have LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so but I'm not sure how to actually use this and I can't find a really simple example; I assume I set up a new virtual host with some form of rewrite directive, but how is this done?

    I am using AutoMapper to datareader using code as discussed below http://elegantcode.com/2009/10/16/mapping-from-idatareaderidatarecord-with-automapper/ I see it being very flakky...and unpredictable. 1) Same code with same datareader at times brings value back to the dto result set and at times doesnot. 2) I have an ID value coming from database as 100, 200. When it maps to the DTO that is of type integer this 100 is changed to a large value (like 234343211). Any ideas on why am I seeing this inconsitency. Should I be using the standard while (reader.Read())? and stop using automapper?

    There's a few other posts on mapping Enums to the DB with ActiveRecord, but none of them answer my question. I have an enum called OrderState: public enum OrderState {InQueue, Ordered, Error, Cancelled} And I have the following property on the table: [Property(NotNull = true, SqlType = "orderstate", ColumnType = "DB.EnumMapper, WebSite")] public OrderState State { get { return state; } set { state = value; } } And I have the following type class: public class EnumMapper : NHibernate.Type.EnumStringType<OrderState> { public EnumMapper() { } public override NHibernate.SqlTypes.SqlType SqlType { get { return new NHibernate.SqlTypes.SqlType(DbType.Object); } } } Now this actually works the way I want, but the problem is I have tons of enums and I don't want to create a EnumMapper class for each one of them. Isn't there some way to just tell ActiveRecord to use DbType.Object for any enum? It seems to either want to be an integer or a string, but nothing else. This one's been driving me crazy for the last 2 hours.. Mike

    For my ASP.NET MVC 2 application I use Entity Framework 1.0 as my data access layer (repository). But I decided I want to return POCO. For the first time I have encountered a problem when I wanted to get a list of Brands with their optional logos. Here's what I did: public IQueryable<Model.Products.Brand> GetAll() { IQueryable<Model.Products.Brand> brands = from b in EntitiesCtx.Brands.Include("Logo") select new Model.Products.Brand() { BrandId = b.BrandId, Name = b.Name, Description = b.Description, IsActive = b.IsActive, Logo = /*b.Logo != null ? */new Model.Cms.Image() { ImageId = b.Logo.ImageId, Alt = b.Logo.Alt, Url = b.Logo.Url }/* : null*/ }; return brands; } You can see in the comments what I would like to achieve. It worked fine whenever a Brand had a Logo otherwise it through an exception that you can assign null to the non-nullable type int (for Id). My workaround was to use nullable in the POCO class but that's not natural - then I have to check not only if Logo is null in my Service layer or Controllers and Views but mostly for Logo.ImageId.HasValue. It's not justified to have a non null Logo property if the id is null. Can anyone think of a better solution?

    I want to map ctrl-tab to :tabn, and ctrl-shift-tab to :tabp. I had it working for gVim in Windows XP, but moved it to my .vimrc in Ubuntu 9.10 and it doesn't work (vim 7.2). Here's the relevant section of my .vimrc: nmap <C-Tab> :tabn<CR> nmap <C-S-Tab> :tabp<CR> nmap <C-t> :tabnew<CR> <C-t> works fine, so mapping the ctrl key doesn't seem to be a problem. I really have no idea where to start! What could be going wrong here, considering it worked fine under Windows?

I tried to remove AutoPersistentModelGenerator and use the following code in the InitializeNHibernateSession method: var config = NHibernateSession.Init(webSessionStorage, new[]{"ApplicationConfiguration.Models.dll"}); Fluently.Configure(config) .Mappings(m => { m.FluentMappings.AddFromAssemblyOf<ConfigSchema>(); }); But I always get MappingException - "No persister for: ConfigSchema" when trying to work with the ConfigSchema. Has anyone tried to do this?
