  • StructureMap Open Generic Types

    - by Shane Fulmer
    I have the following classes: public interface IRenderer<T> { string Render(T obj); } public class Generic<T> { } public class SampleGenericRenderer<T> : IRenderer<Generic<T>> { public string Render(Generic<T> obj) { throw new NotImplementedException(); } } I would like to be able to call StructureMap with ObjectFactory.GetInstance<IRenderer<Generic<string>>>(); and receive SampleGenericRenderer<string>. I'm currently using the following registration and receiving this error when I call GetInstance. "Unable to cast object of type 'ConsoleApplication1.SampleGenericRenderer'1[ConsoleApplication1.Generic'1[System.String]]' to type 'ConsoleApplication1.IRenderer'1[ConsoleApplication1.Generic'1[System.String]]'." public class CoreRegistry : Registry { public CoreRegistry() { Scan(assemblyScanner => { assemblyScanner.AssemblyContainingType(typeof(IRenderer<>)); assemblyScanner.AddAllTypesOf(typeof(IRenderer<>)); assemblyScanner.ConnectImplementationsToTypesClosing(typeof(IRenderer<>)); }); } } Is there any way to configure StructureMap so that it creates SampleGenericRenderer<string> instead of SampleGenericRenderer<Generic<string>>?

  • jQuery: if value is true without user action

    - by Kevin Brown
    I want to show a div if the value of an input =='CP'. Right now this is my code: $(".register-type").change(function(){ var value = $(this).val(); if(value == 'CP'){ $('.cp-show').show(); This works fine if they change the input, but if things get validated false and the page reloads, this input is still 'CP', but the div doesn't show... Is there a way to correct this so that jquery checks if this is set on the page load?

  • ActionScript display zero value

    - by bwong
    It seems the number Datatype handles zeros and nulls the same. I need to display a zero value on the screen, but AS displays nothing. When it's saved, the value is saved as a zero, and therefore shows up zero on the screen. Is there a way to display the zero value using a new object? public class myObject{ private var numVar:Number } My AS file: var temp:MyObject temp.numVar = 0; When I debug, temp.numVar contains a value of 0, but does not show anything on the UI. If this object is then saved to the DB, and then displayed to the UI, it shows a 0. My question is - how do I get temp.numVar to display 0 before persistenting it to the DB?

  • c:set tag to set a non-primitive type value

    - by Bar
    What's a possible way to use Spring Security tag <sec:authentication property="principal.id" /> as the value for the <c:set…> tag? These statements: <c:set var="userId" value="<sec:authentication property='principal.id' />"/> <c:set var="userId" value="<sec:authentication property=\"principal.id\" />"/> won't work.

  • Adding a web address to a <a href="value">

    - by Michael Robinson
    I have an upload script that write a index.html file, I modified it to mail me the results, however the point to the root, since the email isn't in the root, the image doesn't load. How do I append the code to add "http://www.home.html/uploaded" prior to the ". $value ." so that the images show up in the email. Here is portion of PHP that assigns the images to a $result: // Process value of Imagedata field, this is JPEG-files array foreach ($_FILES[Imagedata][name] as $key => $value) { $uploadfile = $destination_dir . basename($_FILES[Imagedata][name][$key]); if (move_uploaded_file($_FILES['Imagedata']['tmp_name'][$key], $uploadfile)) { $result .= "File uploaded: <a href='". $value . "'>" . $value . "</a><br>"; } } // $result .= "<br>"; Here is what I'm now receiving in the email, : <!doctype html public "-//w3c//dtd html 4.0 transitional//en"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <title>Upload results</title> </head> <body> AdditionalStringVariable: pass additional data here<br><a> href='gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg'><img border = '0' src='QIU_thumb_gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg'/></a><br><br><br>File uploaded: <a href='gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg'>gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg</a><br><br> GlobalControlData: PHOTO_VISIBILITY : 2<br> GlobalControlData: PHOTO_DESCR : Requiredtest<br> GlobalControlData: PHOTO_TITLE : Requiredtest<br><br>gallery_grannylovesthis_l.png<br> control: , value: <br> </body> </html> Thanks in advance for any guidance...I have a feeling it's something simple.

  • Mapping integers to types using C++ template fails in a specific case

    - by Shailesh Kumar
    I am attempting to compile the following template based code in VC++ 2005. #include <iostream> using namespace std; /* * T is a template which maps an integer to a specific type. * The mapping happens through partial template specialization. * In the following T<1> is mapped to char, T<2> is mapped to long * and T<3> is mapped to float using partial template specializations */ template <int x> struct T { public: }; template<> struct T<1> { public: typedef char xType; }; template<> struct T<2> { public: typedef long xType; }; template<> struct T<3> { public: typedef float xType; }; // We can easily access the specific xType for a specific T<N> typedef T<3>::xType x3Type; /*! * In the following we are attempting to use T<N> inside another * template class T2<R> */ template<int r> struct T2 { //We can map T<r> to some other type T3 typedef T<r> T3; // The following line fails typedef T3::xType xType; }; int main() { T<1>::xType a1; cout << typeid(a1).name() << endl; T<2>::xType a2; cout << typeid(a2).name() << endl; T<3>::xType a3; cout << typeid(a3).name() << endl; return 0; } There is a particular line in the code which doesn't compile: typedef T3::xType xType; If I remove this line, compilation goes fine and the result is: char long float If I retain this line, compilation errors are observed. main.cpp(53) : warning C4346: 'T<x>::xType' : dependent name is not a type prefix with 'typename' to indicate a type main.cpp(54) : see reference to class template instantiation 'T2<r>' being compiled main.cpp(53) : error C2146: syntax error : missing ';' before identifier 'xType' main.cpp(53) : error C4430: missing type specifier - int assumed. Note: C++ does not support default-int I am not able to figure out how to make sure that T::xType can be treated as a type inside the T2 template. Any help is highly appreciated.

  • problems with Haskell's Number Types

    - by mindeavor.
    I have the following haskell code: fac n = product [1..n] taylor3s w0 f f' f'' t h = w1 : taylor3s w1 f f' f'' (t+h) h where hp i = h^i / fac i w1 = w0 + (hp 1) * f t w0 + (hp 2) * f' t w0 + (hp 3) * f'' t w0 taylor_results = take 4 $ taylor3s 1 f f' f'' 1 0.25 where f t x = t^4 - 4*x/t f' t x = 4*t^3 - 4*(f t x)/t + 4*x/t^2 f'' t x = 12*t^2 - 4*(f' t x)/t + 8*(f t x)/t^2 - 8*x/t^3 taylor_results is supposed to be a use case of taylor3s. However, there is something wrong with the number type inferencing. When I try to compile, this is the error I get: practice.hs:93:26: Ambiguous type variable `a' in the constraints: `Integral a' arising from a use of `taylor3s' at practice.hs:93:26-51 `Fractional a' arising from a use of `f' at practice.hs:93:37 Possible cause: the monomorphism restriction applied to the following: taylor_results :: [a] (bound at practice.hs:93:0) Probable fix: give these definition(s) an explicit type signature or use -XNoMonomorphismRestriction Can someone help me with understanding what the problem is?

  • Combining the value of GetLastError and a custom error message

    - by Jessica
    I have a function that returns a different DWORD value for each case there is an error. So I have the following defines: #define ERR_NO_DB_CONNECTION 0x90000 #define ERR_DB_NOT_OPEN 0x90001 #define ERR_DB_LOCKED 0x90002 #define ERR_DB_CONN_LOST 0x90003 Now, I return those values when an error occurs. I need to also return the value of GetLastError in the same return. No, I can't read it later. I tried combining it different ways, eg: return ERR_DB_NOT_OPEN + GetLastError(); and then extract the error by subtracting the value of ERR_DB_NOT_OPEN but since I need to use this in functions where there can be several return values it can get quite complex to do that. Is there any way to achieve this? I mean, combine the value + GetLastError and extract them later? Code is appreciated. Thanks Jess.

  • Validating primitive types in ASP.NET MVC

    - by Alex
    I've implemented the following classes to validate data public abstract class Validated { public bool IsValid { get { return (GetRuleViolations().Count() == 0); } } public abstract IEnumerable<RuleViolation> GetRuleViolations(); } public partial class User: Validated { public override IEnumerable<RuleViolation> GetRuleViolations() { if (this.Age < 1) yield return new RuleViolation("Age can't be less than 1"); } } It works great! When the form is submitted I just do if (user.IsValid == false) blah... But I still need to validate that the Age is an integer int a = 0; if (!int.TryParse(age, out a)) { error = "Not integer"; // ... } How can I move this to my model?

  • Name Value Pairs in a ComboBox

    - by JamesB
    I'm convinced this must be a common problem, but I can't seem to find a simple solution... I want to use a combobox control with name value pairs as the items. ComboBox takes TStrings as its items so that should be fine. Unfortunately the drawing method on a combobox draws Items[i] so you get Name=Value in the box. I'd like the value to be hidden, so I can work with the value in code, but the user sees the name. Any Ideas?

  • Defining relationship in value objects using Hibernate

    - by kate
    Hi, We have three tables .We need to get data from these tables based upon particular conditions. Like if TableA.columv=TableB.columc=tableC.column then get data. We are using value objects to map Objects to relations. Question is how to maintain these relation ships in value objects. And how to retrieve data from it. We have one value object per table.

  • Visual Studio keeps inserting absurd default property value in designer file

    - by Bugz R us
    i have a simple usercontrol with following properties: public partial class RichTextEditorControl : UserControl { public string EditorText { get { return richTextBox1.Rtf; } set { richTextBox1.Rtf = value; } } public string EditorPlainText { get { return richTextBox1.Text; } set { richTextBox1.Text = value; } } } Now whenever I EDIT a form which contains this control, VS fills its designer file with the following code line, and then throws a designer error : this.richTextEditorControl1.EditorPlainText = global::Project.Resources.MyResources_de_DE.SomeString; Now I don't know where it gets this value from ??? I've searched entire solution, and nowhere there's mention of this var, except for 1 file, where it's needed ... Moreover, the code VS writes, has an error in it ?! It doesn't compile ... The only thing I can do is edit the designer file, but the next time I have to edit the form with the designer, the same error happens again ... Where on earth is VS getting this value from ??

    I am trying to pass the parameter called value in the hidden input type to my servlet. It is like that: retour.append("<input type=\"hidden\" id=\"id_" + nomTab + "_" + compteur + "\" value=\"" + object.getIdDailyTimeSheet() + "\"/>"); retour.append("<button id=edit name=edit type=submit onClick= editarow()>"); retour.append("<img src=edit.gif />"); retour.append("</button>"); retour.append("</td>"); But the method get parameter recommend a name to be able to get the value here. So how can I deal with it? Here I want to pass to the servlet the value of object.getIdDailyTimeSheet().

  • Use from value from backing bean in javascript

    - by AlfonsSocken
    What I want is to use a boolean value from applicationContext.xml (Jboss configuration file) in my javascript. Currently I use Spring to inject a value configured in applicationContext.xml into my backingbean. Then I put an output text in my jsp like this <h:outputText id="idValue" styleClass="foo" value="" rendered="#{bean.isRendered}"/> In my JavaScript I try following jQuery(function(){ bRedirect = jQuery("#foo").value != undefined; ... All this looks so terrible to me, even though it works fine. There must be a smarter way than doing what I do. Note that I am running JSF1.2 and therefore must use jQuery instead of $ and also select by unique class (foo) and not by id, which may be bad practice as well. Thank you in advance. alfons
