  • I have a 18MB MySQL table backup. How can I restore such a large SQL file?

    I use a Wordpress plugin called 'Shopp'. It stores product images in the database rather than the filesystem as standard, I didn't think anything of this until now. I have to move server, and so I made a backup, but restoring the backup is proving a horrible task. I need to restore one table called wp_shopp_assets which is 18MB. Any advice is hugely appreciated. All the above code is in one cpp file, Now the problem is how we can expose these two objects of MyPaymentClass to other units in my project? i.e. I want to use Card and Cash in other CPP files. Please suggest how I can give the declaration for the same in some header file?

  • JDBC programms running long time performance issue

    My program has an issue with Oracle query performance, I believe the SQL have good performance, because it returns quickly in SQLPlus. But when my program has been running for a long time, like 1 week, the SQL query (using JDBC) becomes slower (In my logs, the query time is much longer than when I originally started the program). When I restart my program, the query performance comes back to normal. I think it is could be something wrong with the way I use the preparedStatement, because the SQL I'm using does not use placeholders "?" at all. Just a complex select query. The query process is done by a util class. Here is the pertinent code building the query: public List<String[]> query(String sql, String[] args) { Connection conn = null; conn = openConnection(); conn.setAutocommit(true); .... PreparedStatement preStatm = null; ResultSet rs = null; ....//set preparedstatment arg code rs = preStatm.executeQuery(); .... finally{ //close rs //close prestatm //close connection } } In my case, the args is always null, so it just passes a query sql to this query method. Is that possible this way could slow down the DB query after program long time running? Or I should use statement instead, or just pass args with "?" in the SQL? How can I find out the root cause for my issue? Thanks.

    Java generates a proxy class for a given interface and provides the instance of the proxy class. But when we type cast the proxy object to our specific Object, how java handles this internally? Is this treated as special scenario? For example I have class 'OriginalClass' and it implements 'OriginalInterface', when I create proxy object by passing 'OriginalInterface' interface java created proxy class 'ProxyClass' using methods in the provided interface and provides object of this class(i.e ProxyClass). If my understanding is correct then can you please answer following queries 1) When I type cast object of ProxyClass to my class OriginalClass this works, but how java is allowing this? Same in case of instace of? 2) As my knowledge java creates a proxy class only with the methods, but what happen when I try to access attributes on this object? 3) Only interface methods are getting implemented in Proxy, but what happens when I try to access a method which not in interface and only mentioned in the class?     I have a db query that'll cause a full table scan using a like clause and came upon a question I was curious about... Which of the following should run faster in Mysql or would they both run at the same speed? Benchmarking might answer it in my case, but I'd like to know the why of the answer. The column being filtered contains a couple thousand characters if that's important. SELECT * FROM users WHERE data LIKE '%=12345%' or SELECT * FROM users WHERE data LIKE '%proileId=12345%' I can come up for reasons why each of these might out perform the other, but I'm curious to know the logic.

However, if I pass it it query with a join clause my page just hangs and not error is return.     I'm trying to install a software called Teambox in my Dreamhost shared account. I have no experience with Rails. I just want to install the software in the shared hosting. In this shared hosting, all dependencies are ok, but I have to create the dabatase from their panel. I can't create in command line (ssh). So, when I run "rake db:create" these's an error, because the db already exists (because I created in panel). I've already contacted support. They can't change this policy. How do I populate my tables "by hand" in this case? Which files should I look inside Teambox's folder... Thanks!

    Given two sorted lists, each containing n real numbers, is there a O(log?n) time algorithm to compute the element of rank i (where i coresponds to index in increasing order) in the union of the two lists, assuming the elements of the two lists are distinct? I can think of using a Merge procedure to merge the 2 lists and then find the A[i] element in constant time. But the Merge would take O(n) time. How do we solve it in O(log n) time?

Both temp tables are 3300 items long. The inner select executes in under a second. All strings are nvarchar(249). All IDs are int. Any ideas? I executed it (it's in a stored proc) for over 12 minutes without it finishing.
