They have also provided the source code to alleviate all doubts that may surface with the MSFT logo lurking around the top right of their homepage :) (Which also resides at a cloudapp.net url). The code is simple and the tests comprehensive enough to hold as data points for customer interactions.     I fell into this trap earlier in the week with a mistake I made when configuring a service to send and listen on the azure service bus and I thought it would be worth a little note for future reference as I didnt find anything online about it.  After configuring everything when I ran my code sample I was getting the below error. WebHost failed to process a request.Sender Information: System.ServiceModel.ServiceHostingEnvironment+HostingManager/28316044Exception: System.ServiceModel.ServiceActivationException: The service '/-------/BrokeredMessageService.svc' cannot be activated due to an exception during compilation.  The exception message is: Generic: There was an authorization failure.     I need to write a simple file transfer mechanism (that isn't ftp). Firstly, it must have a GUI. Secondly, it must not be dropbox. Third, it may not use any paid libraries, and hopefully, it uses open source components. The question that came to my mind is, where is everyone moving, from desktop to web, or from web to desktop? Would it be more useful to be experienced in say, C++ than in PHP (or vice versa)?

  • Are Java servers really more preferable for web-development? [closed]

    Many experienced people I know tell me that many web-projects, including enterprise ones, are better to develop with Java being back-end. Reasons: Ubuntu servers being cheaper and more reliable. MySql being much more "light" rather than "heavyweighted" MS Sql. I heard some more, but I really cant remember all of them. My question: I believe ASP.NET and Java are BOTH good for web-development and its just holywar subject. Am I right or not?

I did the configuration part, however the boostrap fails on a network configuration error: 2013-10-29 10:08:49 ERROR juju supercommand.go:282 PUT request failed: BadRequest - XML Schema validation error in network configuration at line 75,18. Unfortunately, both are geared towards content-based sites where everything is about the URL. Our URLs contain object IDs, making them less useful independently, and causing us to grow beyond Google Analytics' 50,000 unique URLs per day.
