• Globe SSL with NGINX SSL certificate problem, please help

  Hello, I have a big problem with installing a certificat for nginx (same happends with apache though) I have 3 files __domain_com.crt __domain_com.ca-bundle and ssl.key. I tried to append cat __domain_com.crt __leechpack_com.ca-bundle bundle.crt but if I do it like this i get an error: [emerg]: SSL_CTX_use_certificate_chain_file("/etc/nginx/__leechpack_com.crt") failed (SSL: error:0906D066:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:bad end line error:140DC009:SSL routines:SSL_CTX_use_certificate_chain_file:PEM lib) And that's because the delimiters of the certificates arren't separated. Everything is stored in one BIG database (currently 25G). Since we released our product we have the following data history. 5 years of data history : - users/customers (200+) - contacts (40 million records) - campaigns - campaign_deliveries (73.843.764 records) - campaign_queue ( 8 millions currently ) As we get more users and table records increase our system/web app is getting slower and slower . Some queries takes too long to execute . • How can I tell when a UIWebView has finished drawing to a context?

  In my code I'm trying to show a UIWebView as a page is loading, and then, when it's done, capture an image from the web view to cache and display later (so I don't have to reload and render the web page). I have something along the lines of: CGContextRef context = CGBitmapContextCreate(…); [[webView layer] renderInContext:context]; CGImageRef imageRef = CGBitmapContextCreateImage(context); UIImage *image = [UIImage imageWithCGImage:imageRef]; The problem I'm running into is that, due to UIWebView's tiling, sometimes only half of the page is rendered to the context by the time I capture the image. Is there a way to detect or block on UIWebView's background rendering thread so that I can get the image only after all of the rendering has finished?

• Need help generating a core dump from apache segfault

  I have a script which intermittently returns a white screen of death in firefox and Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error. chrome. When I try to access the script using a PHP HTTP client (like Zend_Http_Client), intermittently I get an exception (sorry I don't have the exact message on me at the moment). I suspect a segfault. This is further buttressed by the lines in my error log that look like this: [Thu Mar 18 16:03:02 2010] [notice] child pid 845 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) Now, I'm running RedHat, and I know that RedHat doesn't generate core dumps out-of-the-box. • Again WPA Connection problem even after changed to latest version ..please help

The WEP, WPA-PSK connections and communications between my board with linux and my desktop PC, Windows XP SP2 (with Olitec USB wireless) are fine. But when I configured the WPA type, the connection seems established but shows the status "TKIP - Key Absent" in the security dialog box. Anyone faced this problem?   Ok I am running Windows 7, 64 bit. I cleaned of SQL server 2005 completely off my system leaving only SQL Compact Edition. I went here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=01af61e6-2f63-4291-bcad-fd500f6027ff&displaylang=en and installed SQL Server 2008 Express Edition Service Pack 1. After the install, under my start bar menu all i have for SQL configuration tools are the Configuration Manager, Error and Usage Reporting and the Install Center. I don't have the SQL Managment Studio. So I went here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=08e52ac2-1d62-45f6-9a4a-4b76a8564a2b&displaylang=en and downloaded the SQL Server 2008 Management Studio Express but when I try to install it I get a warning says This program has known compatibility issues and that I need to Install SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1. I thought that is what I installed. So, I tried to continue running the install but I then get an error message that says Invoke or BeginInvoke can not be called on a Form before it is opened... How can I check if Service pack 1 is installed or not? What should I do? Also I rebooted my system and checked for Windows Updates and it says that Windows it up to date.

• Need help connecting to NAS externally-port forwarding and DDNS newbie

  Hi folks, I just picked up a synology NAS, and I'm loving it for internal use, but I want to be able to access the NAS externally-both from my iPhone (3G) and from the net. I have a Linksys WRT54G-TM router. My first question is whether I have set up the dyndns correctly. On my computer that is on my network, if I put in mydomain.dyndns.org, I am taken to a password popup and when I enter my router login and password, my router admin page opens up. On the same computer, I get the same results if I use my external IP address, and if I use my internal IP 192.168.0.1 So that is all as expected. However, when I go to my iphone and turn off wifi, and try to connect with 3g to the external IP or the dnydns domain, I just get an error "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding". What's up?

• Help transferring Mac OS X fonts to Windows

  I have been sent a QuarkXPress document which contains a number of unusual fonts which were also sent to me. The fonts were in a folder named fonts and then it was all zipped up into a single archive containing the document and fonts folder. I believe this was done on a machine running Mac OS X. I have unzipped the archive, but all of the files in the fonts folder have no size - i.e. they are 0 bytes files. However there is also a _MACOSX folder which has a fonts subfolder. In here I can see all the font files (prefixed with .) and they all have a size, i.e. are not 0 bytes. Presumably these are the actual font files I need but I cannot figure out how to install them on Windows. I have tried renaming the files to have .ttf and .otf extensions and then installing them but that doesn't seem to work - I just get an "Invalid font file" message. Any other ideas?

  I was recently reading a guide on Tom's Hardware about how to optimize the harddrive. They listed creating partitions as one of them. They said keeping the various files seperate is a good idea as it reduces the read/write cycles required. Now my querry is: what size partitions do i make for my 500gb harddrive. Its completely blank. I will be installing WIN7 in it. My usual strategy is to divide it into two equal partitions. Is it the optimum size?

Our domain points to the hostmonster DNS servers, but I can't figure out the right configuration for the remote email servers. We have one MX entry, which is priority: 0 domain: ourdomain.com And then we have these DNS entries ... name: mail.ourdomain.com ttl: 14400 class: IN type: A record: old.host.ip.address name: mail1.ourdomain.com ttl: 14400 class: IN type: A record: old.host.secondip.address Can someone tell me what I need to add/edit to get mail to correctly route to our old host? • VMware Workstation 7.x error loading operating system help

  Hey all i am using the windows verison of VMware Workstation 7.x and I am getting this error when i start my VM error loading operating system That only started to happen when i tried to load that vmdk file into the program VirtualBox. Prior to this it ran just fine. Ever since then i have been unable to start it in VMware Workstation 7.x... I've already tried to repair the vmdk file but when i do it tells me there are no errors found? I used vmware-vdiskmanager.exe -R "c:\blah\my vm disk.vmdk" Anyone else have any more suggestions i could try? It's a 300+GB VM so i really don't want to lose it!!! Thanks, David

  I'm trying to get OpenLDAP manually configured on OSX Mountain Lion. I'd prefer to do it manually instead of installing OSX server, but if that's the only option (i.e., OpenLDAP on OSX isn't meant to be used without server) then I'll just install it. I've seen guides that mostly just say to change the password in slapd.conf and then start the server and it should work. However, whenever I try to do anything with the client it tells me this: ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49) I've tried encrypting the password as well as leaving it plain it doesn't seem to matter. The version is 2.4.28 and I've read as of 2.4 OpenLDAP uses slapd.d directories, but that doesn't seem to be the case in OSX. There was mention of an 'olcRootPW' I should use (instead of 'rootpw' in slapd.conf), but I only found that in a file named slapd.ldif. So ... I'm really confused. Has anyone got OpenLDAP working on OSX Moutain Lion without the server tools?

I extracted them and found two files(there was some boot files too) : boot.wim install.wim I extracted the boot.wim with WinMount. But I can't extracting the install.wim Should I Burn the whole files(extracted and past files) into a DVD Or, Should I try to extract the install.wim ???? I searched Google, some forums and websites said that the setup.exe can extract the install.wim before starting the Installation.(I found the setup.exe after extracting the boot.wim)

• Need help with Microsoft Access 07 & Reports

  I'm finding it difficult to get MS reporting working to what I'd like to show. What I'm trying to do is: a) In my database store a URL file (HTTP external file), that is a .jpeg. I'd like to use that URL to call the image on the report sheet. I have tried to use 'Control source' on the data panel, but with no success. Any way I can get Dynamic Images to show up on each database. Also, I have a couple of Relational Databases. One Defines Values: For Example: DefinePets('petID','Name of Pet') The other one links the Main DB with the 'DefinePets' database. Eg: connect('petID','mainID','extraFeild') I'd like my report to Go into the "connect" Table, where the the currently viewed Record Value = mainID, then find petID and return Name of Pet. There is a many to many link between definePets and the main Table. (Therefore connect is joining them up) Or is that too much to ask from a simple package like Access?

  We have three Authoritative DNS servers and three recursive/caching DNS servers on my campus. Authoritative servers DNS1- Windows 2003 DNS2- Old Red Hat ----- Replacing w/ newer version DNS3- Windows 2008 (I installed) Caching and Recursive resolvers servers Server1- Windows 2003 Server2- CentOS 5.2 (I installed) Server3- CentOS 5.3 (I installed) I am replacing DNS2 with a newer Red Hat version, but have no documentation on how it was implemented. I have setup caching and windows authoritative servers, but not a linux secondary authoritative server. I have a perl script from the original server that pulls data from our DNS1 server. We use DJBDNS and TinyDNS on our linux servers. Our Network Engineer says the DNS2 server I am replacing is an authoritative server that doesn't need to be caching, but the only instructions I see is for an Authoritative server that does caching as well. Can someone point me in the right directions. I thought I was on the right track with using these instructions but when I query my new dns server I get "No response from server", I have temporarily disabled iptables to eliminate it from being an issue. ps -aux | grep dns avahi 3493 0.0 0.2 2600 1272 ? • I need help choosing between two configurations of the Dell Studio 14

  There are two configurations of the Dell Studio 14 (1458) which I'm looking at: Config 1: Core i7-720QM @ 1.6 GHz; ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 1GB; 4gb DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz; 500 GB SATA HDD @ 7200 RPM; Price: $999 Config 2: Core i5-430M; ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 512MB; 4GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz; 500 GV SATA HDD @ 7200 RPM; Price: $874 What I want to know is, would config 1 still be able to do decent gaming (maybe some Starcraft II), and is there a great performance difference between the i5 and i7 processors? Is the $130 extra worth it for the i7 and better graphics card? I do more than just basic computing. I plan on getting into web design (specifically using Photoshop and Dreamweaver), and I wish to do gaming. I know Conifg 1 is the better value, but I want to be sure that the $130 more is truly worth it. I dont have too much money and want to spend wisely as possible, yet I am a computer geek and plan on doing a lot more than the average user.

  So I'm just starting to learn about bash completion scripts, and I started to work on one for a tool I use all the time. Next, I decided to dynamically create the list of available actions. I put together the following command: zf | grep "Providers and their actions:" -A 100 | grep -P "^\s*\033\[36m\s*zf" | awk '{gsub(/[[:space:]]*/, "", $3); print $3}' | sort | uniq | awk '{sub("\-", "\\-", $1); print $1}' | tr \\n " " | sed 's/^ *\(.*\) *$/\1/' Which basically does the following: Grabs all the text in the "zf" command after "Providers and their actions:" Grabs all the lines that start with "zf" (I had to do some fancy work here 'cause the ZF command prints in color) Grab the second piece of the command and remove any spaces from it (the spaces part is probably not needed any more) Sort the list Get rid of any duplicates Escape dashes (I added this when trying to debug the problem—probably not needed) Trim all new lines Trim all leading and ending spaces The above command produces: $ zf | grep "Providers and their actions:" -A 100 | grep -P "^\s*\033\[36m\s*zf" | awk '{gsub(/[[:space:]]*/, "", $3); print $3}' | sort | uniq | awk '{sub("\-", "\\-", $1); print $1}' | tr \\n " " | sed 's/^ *\(.*\) *$/\1/' change configure create disable enable show $ So it looks to me like it's producing the exact same string as I had in my original script. First, it won't autocomplete anything with an "n" in it, and second, when it does autocomplete ("zf create" for example) it won't let me backspace over my completed command. The first issue I'm completely stumped on. The second I'm thinking might have to do with escape characters from the colored text. Any ideas? It's driving me crazy!

• Help make sense of a KillDisk error/log

  I have a hard drive that I've been trying to reformat. I tried reformatting it in the windows XP and 7 installers, and in an Ubuntu live cd with gparted. I tried using dd to 'zero' the drive as well with no success. Finally I ran across KillDisk after a search. • Help importing video from old Sony digital tape HandyCam

  Some friends gave me their old HandyCam and a bunch of tapes asking me to put them on a DVD. The model is Sony DCR-TVR103 and it records onto Hi8 digital tapes. It has a firewire port also. I am trying to use import function in iMovie on OS X 10.6. Every import though the video is super fast, like playing in fast forward. Ever seen anything like this? How can I import this video?
