    I did this: ALTER TABLE `db`.`my_table` ADD CONSTRAINT FOREIGN KEY (`my_second_table_id`) REFERENCES `my_second_table` (`id`); I should have done this: ALTER TABLE `db`.`my_table` ADD CONSTRAINT FOREIGN KEY (`my_second_table_id`) REFERENCES `my_second_table` (`id`) ON DELETE SET NULL; Is it possible to ALTER this, or do I have to drop the constraint and add again?

  • Action Controller: Exception - ID not found

    Hi Everyone, I am slowly getting the hang of Rails and thanks to a few people I now have a basic grasp of the database relations and associations etc. You can see my previous questions here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2714621/rails-database-relationships I have setup my applications models with all of the necessary has_one and has_many :through etc. but when I go to add a kase and choose from a company from the drop down list - it doesnt seem to be assigning the company ID to the kase. I can display the string which is returned from my custom library method as follows: =ClassLibrary1.MyClass.Parse("harry potter") Above code works fine - it should return SQL query based on passed parameters. My question is, how can I use this code in my DataSource.     Hi, i'm creating a mvc application and i'll use under subdomain like _http://myapp.mycompany.com, this subdomain is pointing to app subdirectory, but my actions are generated with applicationPath (subdirectory) always: _http://myapp.mycompany.com/myapp/Home/About. i want _http://myapp.mycompany.com/Home/About only, without applicationPath prefix. Exists any configuration for this?? I'm using the correct methods: <%= Html.ActionLink("About", "About", "Home") % Actions rendered without ApplicationPath prefix, is possible in asp.net routing? * Please, ignore undescore prefix in urls, but i'm novice in stackoverflow and i can't post valid urls =/

  • Best practice PHP Form Action

    Hi there i've built a new script (from scratch not a CMS) and i've done alot of work on reducing memory usage and the time it takes for the page to be displayed (caching HTML etc) There's one thing that i'm not sure about though. Take a simple example of an article with a comments section. If the comment form posts to another page that then redirects back to the article page I won't have the problem of people clicking refresh and resending the information. However if I do it that way, I have to load up my script twice use twice as much memory and it takes twice as long whilst i'm still only displaying the page once. Here's an example from my load log. The first load of the article is from the cache, the second rebuilds the page after the comment is posted. Example 1 0 queries using 650856 bytes of memory in 0.018667 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html 9 queries using 1325723 bytes of memory in 0.075825 - domain.com/article/1/my_article/newcomment.html 0 queries using 650856 bytes of memory in 0.029449 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html Example 2 0 queries using 650856 bytes of memory in 0.023526 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html 9 queries using 1659096 bytes of memory in 0.060032 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html Obviously the time fluctuates so you can't really compare that. But as you can see with the first method I use more memory and it takes longer to load. BUT the first method avoides the refresh problem. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best approach or for alternative ways to avoid the extra load (admittadely minimal but i'd still like to avoid it) whilst also avoiding the refresh problem?

    I just started using RJS which is awesome however I am used to putting visual effects in the link_to_remote and such and I'm not sure how to trigger actions before and after remotes are triggered.   • Action script 3 bitmap glitch, alpha fade in out

    I have actually solved this problem but it was a weird one so I will post it and my solution. I had a movie clip with several children each of which had it's own alpha settings. It also had a bitmap child object with a masked movie clip sitting on top of it. I was fading in and out the parent movie clip and was getting some odd results all of the alpha settings of the children were being removed and the bitmap was glitching and showing the contents of the masked object that was above it. The problem was that my alpha value for fully opaque was 100 (as in AS2) not 1 (as per AS3). It took me ages to work this out so hopefully this helps someone else.

  • Conditional action based on whether any file in a directory has a ctime newer than X

    I would like to run a backup job on a directory tree from a bash script if any of the files have been modified in the last 30 minutes. I think I can hack together something using find with the -ctime flag, but I'm sure there is a standard way to examine a directory for changes. I know that I can inspect the ctime of the top level directory to see if files were added, but I need to be able to see changes also. FWIW, I am using duplicity to backup directories to S3.

One of the custom classes is associated with read-only data, so I'm attempting to make the cell itself read-only. I initially tried setting the ReadOnly property in the constructor, but doing so causes an InvalidOperationException: "ReadOnly property of a cell cannot be set before it is added to a row." Which method should I override (i.e., which method adds the cell to the row), so that I can set the ReadOnly property?
