In my app, I've found all the four relationships, but I want to make sure not to double-register my NetworkMember, thus I'd like to search for this NSManagedObject before instantiating it.   • Extract some data from a lot of xml files

    I have cricket player profiles saved in the form of .xml files in a folder. each file has these tags in it <playerid>547</playerid> <majorteam>England</majorteam> <playername>Don</playername> the playerid is same as in .xml (each file is of different size,1kb to 5kb). These are about 500 files. What i need is to extract the playername, majorteam, and playerid from all these files to a list. I will convert that list to XML later. If you know how can i do it directly to XML i will be very thankful.

At that point—provided that there are no validation errors—the changes are committed to the store. So does that essentially mean, that validation happens automatically as soon as I call -save?

  • data not reloading into tableview from core data on minor update

    I've got a basic photo album application, on the first view a list of albums is displayed with a subtitle showing how many images are in each album. I've got everything working to add albums, and add images to albums. The problem is that the image count lines are accurate whenever the app loads, but I can't get them to update during execution.   • Which data structure for List of objects + datagrid wiev

    Hi, I have to develop a code which will store a list of objects, as example below 101, value 11, value 12, value 13 ...etc 102, value 21, value 22, value 23 ...etc 103, value 31, value 32, value 33 ...etc 104, value 41, value 42, value 43 ...etc Now, the difficulty is, that first column is an identifier, and whole table should always be sorted by it. Easy access to each element is required. Additionally, list should be easily updated, and extended by adding element at the end as well as in front and still keep being sorted by first column. Finally, I would like to be able to display values of the above in datagridview. What is most important is a performance of the implementation, as rows will be updated many times per second, and datagridview should be able to display all changes immediately. I was thinking about creating class for the values, and then a Dictionary but encountered a problem with displaying values in gridview. What would be the most optimal way of implementing the code?     Hi all, I am trying to devellopp an app showing the nearest poi to the users location. My app is now capable of: showing a map (Mapkit) with 110 annotations and the user's location. Furthermore, I have a TableView at the bottom of my screen, to choose between the different annotations. However, they're listed by number, and not by proximity to the user's location, which is my wish. My research have led me to think that I should use CLLocation for getting the user's location. I then have really no idea on how to do it next, using getDistancefrom.     Hi, Is it possible to set multiple properties of an NSManagedObject and have the NSFetchedResultsController call controllerDidChangeContent: only once? In other words, is it possible to say something like: [managedObject beginChanges]; [managedObject setPropertyA:@"Foo"]; [managedObject setPropertyB:@"Bar"]; [managedObject commitChanges]; and then have the NSFetchedResultsController call controllerDidChangeContent: (and the other methods) only one time? The reason I want an explicit id field for BarFoo is exactly because I want to avoid using a joined key (foo _id, bar _id) when querying for BarFoo(s) or when used in a "stronger" constraint.     I bought an IcyBox NAS a little while back, and it recently died on me. I have physical access to the disks inside (1.5TB RAID 1 array), and the box was running a version of Linux. I now have the difficulty of retrieving the data from the disks. All I have available are 2 Windows machines, one of which has sufficient free space to hold the data from the NAS. What would be the quickest and easiest way to retrieve the data from the disks?

    Hi, I have a stateless session bean and a standalone-java-program acting as a client. The bean method executes just fine when the interface is marked @Remote. However,when I mark that interface with @Local instead of @Remote, I get the following Exception. [java] javax.naming.NamingException: Could not dereference object [Root exception is java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not find InvokerLocator URL at JNDIaddress "chapter1/HelloUserBean/local"; looking up local Proxy from Remote JVM?] But I expected even the latter to work, since it is the same computer that the code executes in. Seeing this behavior, I am assuming that, the Application-Server and the Standalone-Java-Program use different JVM instances and not a single JVM instance and so this client can access only through a remote interface. Is that assumption correct ? Thanks !
