  • PHP MYSQL Add up number of entries in single table and display in HTML

    I have a table called activities which contains a number of activities for projects (for example 6 activities are related to one project). On a manage projects page, you can see the projects, and I have one column which needs to display the number of tasks associated with the project (in that particular row). So basically, I need a query or PHP calculation that can add up the number of tasks for the project and then display this number dynamically! I know exactly what I need, just do not know how to implement it. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.

  • JSF Open new window and display bean data

    I am running JSF 2.0 and the latest version of Primefaces 2.2RC1 I believe. I am trying to create a printer friendly window. When the user clicks on a p:commandLink I want a new window to open and display a xhtml file I have named printView.xhtml. Now I can get the window working fine using JavaScript window.open but when I open the new window it will not render any values it just displays everything as #{myBean.value}. Does anyone know how to properly open a window and extend the current scope of the application into that window so I can call all of my managed beans properly and display the values etc. etc.

    Hello all, I am trying to display a text field that has text inside it, and display the flashing Caret at the end of the text. I have tried the following: Code: // ti_title is my textField stage.focus = ti_title; ti_title.setSelection( ti_title.length, ti_title.length ); I have also tried: // ti_title is my textField ti_title.stage.focus = ti_title; ti_title.setSelection( ti_title.length, ti_title.length ); The field is focused because I can type into it, but I do not see a Caret until I have started typing. This is not very good for usability. I have even tried removing text then re-adding it and then setting the selection again, but still not working. Any ideas? all the best nG

    In one of our class sir said that template allows one to customize behavior of class, and then he gave example of string class, that with few lines of code we can customize string class from STL, as in, we can make it to treat 'a' and 'z' same, 'b' and 'y' same, 'c' and 'x' same and so on. Similary 'A' and 'Z' same etc. "abc" == "zyx" is true; "Abc" == "zyx" is false; "Abc == "Zyx" is true; etc I was thinking of implementing such string class, but I am not able to do so. How can we implement such string class using templates?

    Hi, Is there a way in flex 3 chart component to display both the date and time using horizontal DateTimeAxis? Currently the DateTimeAxis element has an attribute dataunits which allows to set the value to any of "milliseconds|seconds|minutes|hours|days|weeks|months|years" but I want to display the label as "2009/09/15 06:00:00" which includes the day and the time too.     I am developing an iPhone app that need to display some message on lock screen. I have tried to use local notification or CFUserNotification but neither of them can display the message on top of the lock screen. For CFUserNotification I have tried kCFUserNotificationAlertTopMostKey (refer this similar question) but it still not work. I am not going to hook springboard since my phone is not jailbreak. I have found an app do implement it and I have tested on my none-jailbreak iPhone iOS 6.0, don't know how to implement this. Any help much appreciated.

    Ok, here's what I'm trying to do. I have a DIV box with a child element set with DISPLAY: NONE;. I'm trying to use Jquery so that when the mouse enters the parent DIV box, the child element is made visible, and then hides when the mouse leaves the parent DV. There will be multiple divs on the page with these classes. For some reason it's not working. Any ideas?   • Can someone rid me of these turbulent T4 template editors?

    I'm using Tangible's editor and (no offense guys) it sucks. Its one painful step above notepad. But its (afaik) the only game in town. Does anybody have any tips/tricks on creating T4 templates in a non-painful way? For instance, I'm thinking about creating a T4 Template that essentially turns a class defined in a solution into a template generator. DTE, look for code that is marked with this or that attribute, run this or that method, and drop the results into a file. At least I'd get legit intellisense out of the deal...

    I am trying to create a simple search form to filter the results in the dynamic table. The search form is on the same pages as the results and posts to itself. I get the search string from the post variable. It is working, but I can't figure out how to set the default value to display all results. Dreamweaver automatically sets the default value to -1, and therefore no results are displayed on the initial load. How do I change this to display ALL records as default and the filter only if there is search string defined.

  • Automatically use inclusion tags (?) in a template, depending on installed apps

    The title may be a little confusing, but I don't know how else to call it. I would like to create a Django project with a large set of applications you could arbitrary turn on or off using INSTALLED_APPS option in settings.py (you would obviously also need to edit urls.py and run syncdb). After being turned on an app should be able to automatically: Register it's content in site-wide search. Luckily django-haystack has this built-in, so it's not a problem. Register cron jobs. django-cron does exactly that. Not a problem. Register a widget that should be displayed on the homepage. The homepage should include a list of boxes with widgets form different applications. I thought about inclusion tags, because you can put them anywhere on a page and they control both content and presentation. The problem is I don't know how to automatically get a list of inclusion tags provided by my applications, and display them one by one on a homepage. I need a way to register them somehow, and then display all registered tags.
