  • eclipse gcov plugin

    I am using gcov plugin in Eclipse CDT + cygwin compiler & linker to find code coverage. I installed gcov plugin from http://svn.sourceforge.jp/svnroot/ginkgo/trunk/org.ginko.gcov.update/ location and follow the below link to get coverage of my .c file. I was able to create .gcno and .gcda files. But double clicking on those files, opens the files in eclipse editor. I could not find the gcov editor. Also I couldn't see any code coverage results in my .c file. What is the wrong with my procedure?

  • Intercept web requests from a WebView Flash plugin

    I've got a desktop browser app which uses a WebView to host a Flash plugin. The Flash plugin makes regular requests to an external website for new data, which it then draws as fancy graphics. I'd like to intercept these web requests and get at the data (so I can display it via Growl, instead of keeping a desktop window around). But best I can tell, requests made by Flash don't get picked up by the normal WebView delegates. Is there another place I can set a hook? I tried installing a custom NSURLCache via [NSURLCache setSharedURLCache] but that never got called. I also tried method swizzling a few of the other classes (like NSCachedURLResponse) but couldn't find a way in. Any ideas? Many thanks!

    Hello, I seem to be having some problems creating a jquery plugin. I am testing a simple plugin in firebug console and the function is not being defined as I would expect. Here is the code pattern I am using jQuery.fn.test = function () {console.log("runs")} I am trying to call the function with this call which is not working. $.test() But this call does $.fn.test() I don't think this is how it is supposed to work so I think I am doing something wrong, although all the documentation seems to agree that I should be correct.     Hi all, I am learning how to use JQuery validation plugin, and came across some questions about the JQuery magic that works on the sumbit action. I got a simple HTML form which has got an input text field like this: <form class="cmxform" id="commentForm" method="get" action=""> <input id="cname" name="name" size="25" class="required" minlength="2" /> <input class="submit" type="submit" value="Submit"/> </form> The magic happened when I tried not to input any data into the field and pressed the submit button. I saw an error message in red pop up, and no matter how hard and how many times I pressed the submit button, nothing was submitted. It seemed that there was some scripts that disabled the submit action, but I just couldn't find which lines of codes in the JQuery Validatyion Plugin that did it.

  • Shipping GNU/Linux Firefox plugin with shared libraries (for installation with no root access)

    The application is a Firefox plugin (loaded from $HOME/.mozilla/plugins), so wrapper script that sets LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not an easy option. RPATH, as far as I know, cannot refer to $HOME and can be only absolue path. Firefox tries to dlopen it's plugin from ~/.mozilla/plugins but fails (because it depends on shared libraries installed somewhere in the user home directory). Modifying Firefox menu item to provide a wrapper (with LD_LIBRARY_PATH) around Firefox is too hacky. What should installer script do (without root access) to make standard firefox load plug-ins that depends on out shared library? Should I just try to make embed everything into that .so to remove dependencies? Should I try to make installer script to finish linking or patch RPATH during the installation phase?

What I understand is that the code executes immediately because the very last () in function(){}(). So the entire code says that is an anonymous function that is run immediately. But I don't understand why the wrapping needs to pass jQuery and that inside it needs $ to be passed. From my understanding, $ is an alias to jQuery, meaning practically the same. What is the meaning of $ and jQuery here? How does the overall code work as a jQuery plugin?

I have an issue that, When there is multiple instances of the plugin on the page, if you click on any <ul> that the plugin has been called on it will put focus on the <input /> in the last <ul> that the plugin has been called on.     I'm using SVN with Google Code Project Hosting for a school project. As the codebase increases in size, I often find myself wondering questions like: "who originally checked in this line of code?" "who has been checking in the most code recently?" "Of the final product, how much of it was written by Person X?" "Which coder is best at adhering to the coding conventions?" Is there any plugin available to do this? (If not, I would be interested in developing one myself. Any ideas on where to get started on that?) We're using Visual Studio 2008 with the AnkhSVN plugin.

    I am working on creating a simple iPhone app that plays a movie via URL. When I Build&Run to test in the simulator, it works fine; as soon as I start playing the movie, I get the following message in the console: [1757:4b03] Cannot find executable for CFBundle/CFPlugIn 0x820ffe0 </Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/iSightAudio.plugin> (not loaded) [1757:4b03] Cannot find function pointer iSightAudioNewPlugIn for factory 9BE7661E-8AEF-11D7-8692-000A959F49B0 in CFBundle/CFPlugIn 0x820ffe0 </Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/iSightAudio.plugin> (not loaded) I don't get this error on other programs, so I assume it has something to do with this specific program, which uses the MediaPlayer.framework. Does anyone know what is causing this problem and how to fix it? Thank you

    I have been asked to build a portfolio website for a photographer. The main page contains a slideshow of the photographer's best work, I have used an autoplaying NextGEN SmoothGallery with Lytebox. After some customization of the plugin, this works. However, the client has requested a category selection above the main slideshow and a scrollbar below the image. They also want part of the previous and next images to be visible, not just the image in focus. The image here illustrates what I mean. I have searched and searched, but cannot find a plugin that would do this. Can anybody help, please?

    I have an application, written in Python, which is used by a fairly technical audience (scientists). I'm looking for a good way to make the application extensible by the users, i.e. a scripting/plugin architecture. I am looking for something extremely lightweight. Most scripts, or plugins, are not going to be developed and distributed by a third-party and installed, but are going to be something whipped up by a user in a few minutes to automate a repeating task, add support for a file format, etc. So plugins should have the absolute minimum boilerplate code, and require no 'installation' other than copying to a folder (so something like setuptools entry points, or the Zope plugin architecture seems like too much.) Are there any systems like this already out there, or any projects that implement a similar scheme that I should look at for ideas / inspiration?

    Inside of a jQuery plugin I made I have: $.getJSON(base_url,{ agenda_id:defaults.id, action:defaults.action+defaults.type, output:defaults.output },function(json){ return json; }); And in a separate JS file (yes, it comes after the plugin): json = $('#agenda-live-preview').agenda({action:'get',type:'agenda',output:'json'}); alert(json[0].agenda_id); If i do the above $.getJSON and put an alert inside of the $.getJSON it works and returns "3", which is correct. If I do it like the json=$('#agenda-live-preview').agenda(...)... it returns undefined. My JSON is valid, and the json[0].agenda_id is correct also, I know it's in a callback, so how do I get the stuff inside of a callback in a function return?

  • Best way to order menu items injected by an IoC/plugin Framework

    One of the common things I've seen done in applications built on IoC/plugin frameworks is to add commands to menus or toolbars from the dynamically loaded plugins. For example, the application's default plugins supply actions like "New, Open, Save" that show up in the context menu for a certain item in the workspace. A new plugin may add "Mail, Post, Encrypt" commands, but where do those commands show up in relation to "New, Open, Save"? How can the application that is loading components through IoC impose order on the items that get injected? Does it require metadata from the plugins that give a hint on how to group or order the items? Does it use a config file of previously known menu names (or ids) to define the order (seems a little weak to me)? Or are "unknown" plugins treated as second class citizens and always get dumped into sub menus? Something I've never even imagined (which I'm hoping to see in the answers)

    I'm looking for a jQuery plugin that can help me with the following: I have a list of images I want to use for my header but they are pretty big (height especially) and I don't want to resize them to fit my small header div. What I'd want is a plugin that allows the images to start at the bottom of the div (or rather the top of the image at the top of the div) and move upwards so the entire image can be seen, and once up they are shown entirely (bottom of image at bottom of div) they should "blend" (opacity toggle or something alike) with the next image and thus create a continuous loop with all the images. I've looked through several plugins but have never found one that can achieve what I'm looking for (maybe I'm asking for a tad too much) but my JS is not sufficient enough to build it myself.   • Using Maven shade plugin in a multi module project

    I have a scenario where-in I need to create an uber jar of a multi module maven project including all modules and their dependencies. I tried using maven shade plugin. but it seems to work only when I use it at the module level. If I add the plugin entry in parent pom then the build breaks (it tries to shade the parent pom) [INFO] Replacing original artifact with shaded artifact. [INFO] Replacing null with C:\Projects\foo.bar\target\foobar-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT-shaded.pom [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ERROR] BUILD ERROR [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [INFO] Error creating shaded jar: null It does seem to make sense since the <packaging> for the parent maven project is pom. But there should be some way to create an uber jar for a multi module project... Any ideas people???
