    hi, I tried to redirect rails to show action by passing controller, action, and params.     One of key values that BPM promises is “Business Empowerment”. People closest to the processes, who participate in the process every day, are the ones who know most about the process. These are the people who run day-to-day operations, people who triage customer issues, people who envision improvements and innovations. It is, therefore, imperative that when a company decides to use BPM technology to automate their business processes, business people take the driver’s seat. BPM is not an IT only project. Oracle BPM suite has been designed keeping this core tenet of BPM, Business Empowerment, in mind. The result is business user centered design of Process Composer. Process Composer is designed to let business users document their processes, analyze them using simulation, create web forms, specify business rules and even run them in testing mode using process player, to see if the designed process meets their needs. This does not mean that IT has no role in this process. In fact, Oracle BPM Suite has made it very easy for Business and IT to collaborate. The same process can be shared among business, and IT stakeholders and each can collaborate to create model-driven, process based executable applications. A process may need to integrate with multiple systems via various mechanisms, and IT leads system and data integration effort. IT helps fine tune the performance of process applications and ensures that the deployment of process application meets scalability and failover standards. In this session, we saw Harish Gaur and Satya Narayanan from Oracle demonstrate roles Business and IT play in BPM projects and how Oracle BPM Suite enables business and IT collaboration to design and automate process based applications. I tried lowering the priority of the new process but the focus problem is still there. Is there anyway to avoid this? furthermore, is there any way to create another process without using CreateProcess (or any of the API's that call CreateProcess like ShellExecute)? My guess is that my app is losing focus because it was given to the new process, even when it's hidden. To those of you curious out there that will certainly ask the usual "why do you want to do this", my answer is because I have a watchdog process that cannot be a service and it gets started whenever I open my main application.   • R.java file not updating with UI element's id

    I added some UI elements to the main.xml file in the res\layout folder and when I try to access them through the call, R.layout.my_uielement, the UI element that I created is not there. Even when I add a new xml file with UI elements, it still doesn't show up in the R.layout class. I have made checked the ids on them and they have the correct format (I think): android:id="@+id/my_button". What could be the problem? Do I need to compile the code first?

The idea is this: If a User has Excel Open, if he has the file I'm interested in open... get that Excel instance and do whatever I want to do... But I don't to close his File after I'm done... I want him to keep working on it, the problem is that when he closes Excel... The process keeps running... and running... and running after the user closes Excel with the X button... this is how I try to do it This piece is used to know if he has Excel open, and in the For I check for the file name I'm interested in.     I have a query to get the IDs of people in a particular order, say: ids = [1, 3, 5, 9, 6, 2] I then want to fetch those people by Person.find(ids) But they are always fetched in numerical order, I know this by performing: people = Person.find(ids).map(&:id) => [1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9] How can I run this query so that the order is the same as the order of the ids array? I made this task more difficult as I wanted to only perform the query to fetch people once, from the IDs given. So, performing multiple queries is out of the question. I tried something like: ids.each do |i| person = people.where('id = ?', i) But I don't think this works.

How can I give these dynamically create mc's a name or custom property? ideally I would like to use a custom property called portfolio.id but would use the name property or another default property if it works.

  • Hibernate not using schema and catalog name in id generation with strategy increment

    Hi, I am using the hibernate increment strategy to create my IDs on my entities. @GenericGenerator(name="increment-strategy", strategy="increment") @Id @GeneratedValue(generator="increment=strategy") @Column(name="HDR_ID", unique=true, nullable=false) public int getHdrId(){ return this.hdrId; } The entity has the following table annotation @Table(name = "PORDER.PUB.PO_HEADER", schema = "UVOSi", catalog = "VIRT_UVOS") Please note I have two datasources. When I try to insert an entity Hibernate creates the following SQL statement: select max(hdr_id) from PORDER.PUB.PO_HEADER which causes the following error: Group specified is ambiguous, resubmit the query by fully qualifying group name. When I create a query by hand with entityManager.createQuery() hibernate uses the fully qualified name select XXX from VIRT_UVOS.UVOSi.PORDER.PUB.PO_HEADER and that works fine. So how do I get Hibernate to use the fully qualified name in the Id autogeneration? Btw. I am using Hibernate 3.2 and Seam 2.2 running on JBoss 4.2.3 Regards Immo

    I have a sharepoint 2010 web application with 2 different zones, default zone with windows login (for search crawl), internet with Claims (FBA) for users to login. I have custom webparts that uses using (SPSite mySite = new SPSite(SPContext.Current.Site.ID)) using (SPWeb web = mySite.RootWeb) { string url = web.Url I use this url to include to emails etc... Problem is: when user connects to FBA (extended zone), and goes to the webpart,string url in my code returns the url of the default zone(windows auth) where user should not be touching. I have different host headers for these zones, any help would be very appreciated. Update: fixed it with using (SPSite newsite =new SPSite(SPContext.Current.Site.ID,SPContext.Current.Site.Zone)) using (SPWeb web = newsite.RootWeb) { //do your implementation here }

  • What does it mean for an OS to "execute within user processes"? Do any modern OS's use that approach

    I have recently become interested in operating system, and a friend of mine lent me a book called Operating Systems: Internals and Design Principles (I have the third edition), published in 1998. It's been a very interesting book so far, but I have come to the part dealing with process control, and it's using UNIX System V as one of its examples of an operating system that executes within user processes. This concept has struck me as a little strange. First of all, does this mean that OS instructions and data are stored in each user of the processes? Probably not, because that would be an absurdly redundant scheme. But if not, then what does it mean to "execute within" a user process? Do any modern operating systems use this approach? It seems much more logical to have the operating system execute as its own process, or even independently of all processes, if you're short on memory. All the inter-accessiblilty of process data required for this layout seems to greatly complicate things. (But maybe that's just because I don't quite get the concept ;D) Here is what the book says: "Execution within User Processes: An alternative that is common with operation systems on smaller machines is to execute virtually all operating system software in the context of a user process. ... "

    Hi, I'm trying to build a Spring server for GWT (you can think of it as of Javascript AJAX client). But I can't decide on one point of architecture. How should session be created and used? The obvious easiest way - is to use HTTP sessions (cookies and stuff). Looks fine, but I think that sending session ID separate from the headers would be better (SOAP style). So, what is better: getMyPetsName(String sessionID, int petID) or getMyPetsName(int petID) + session ID through HTTP header (cookies or something). Another question is, if I use the first way (which I like more) - how do I handle session in Spring? I'm really newbie in Spring, and googling did not help.     This is my first time I use MySQL as datastorage for my C# Application, as I've seen that there is no UNIQUEIDENTIFIER type as in SQL server I decieded to use INT with AUTO_INCREMENT, my problem is now if I execute a INSERT, how may I get the ID of the Record I just added. My quick and dirty solution has been to execute a SELECT MAX(ID) FROM table Statement. But this doesn't seem consistent. I belive there is a better solution something like mysql_insert_id() (PHP). Any Idea how to resolve this in C#?

    I am building a system with a User model (authenticated using AuthLogic) and three user types in three models: one of these models is Employer. Each of these three models has_many :users, :as = :authenticable. I start by having a new visitor to the site create their own 'User' record with username, password, which user type they are, etc. Upon creation, the user is sent to the 'new' action for one of the three models. So, if they tell us they are an employer, we redirect_to :controller = "employers, :action = "new". Question: When the employer has submitted, I want to set the current_user.user_type_id equal to the employer ID. The issue is I need modify the primary_key name of the database :id with :another_id, in my project I need to use pgrouting and it contains several plsql functions and these functions uses the primary-key with the name gid and instead of modify the plsql functions is better change the id name, and I was thinking do this with a migration becouse I thought it's the rails way. I do however have a hard time to catch any exceptions from the started process (i.e. the catch statement is pointless here) I'm using something like: _process = new Process { StartInfo = { FileName = pathToProcess, UseShellExecute = false, CreateNoWindow = true, RedirectStandardInput = true, RedirectStandardOutput = true, RedirectStandardError = true, Arguments = arguments } }; to set up the process. Any ideas?

    Hi, I'm having a problem with properties of the following type: id<ProtocolName> variableName; ..... ..... @property (nonatomic, retain) id<ProtocolName> variableName; I can access and use them just fine, but when I try to call [variableName release]; I get compiler warnings: '-release' not found in protocol(s) Do I need to define a release method in the interface, or how do I release the memory reserved for the variable?
