    In SL class library MyLib, I have a image say my.png. Then I want to use it in code behind I tried following way: StreamResourceInfo resourceStream = Application.GetResourceStream(new Uri("/MyLib;component/my.png", UriKind.Relative)); BitmapImage image = new BitmapImage(); image.SetSource(resourceStream.Stream); this.MyIcon.Source = image; But it's not woking. I think it's the Uri not set correctly. Help please.

    Hi, I've seen an interesting image hover effect being used a lot lately and was wondering whether anyone has any tips or advice on how best to create this effect? What I'd like to create is a hover effect, so that when you hover over an image, the image fades and a magnifying glass or similar icon fades in.   • How to write a cgi script in perl that accepts output (an image file) from a urlconnection in a Java applet and writes it to the server?

    I created a Java applet for my web page that creates an image file. I want users to be able to run the applet and create unique images, click a button, and have the image they created be saved to the web server. I think I have the code down for writing the image to a URLconnection in the Java applet itself after having successfully written a file while running the applet on my system rather than the web page and saving a file to the local disk, and then altering a few things to write to a URLConnection instead of to the local disk (although we shall see how that works too). I am now trying to write a cgi script in perl that takes the image output from the URLConnection and writes the image to a file on my web server (note: I am a newbie to perl). I have found many examples of how to do something similar with simple text coming from an applet and then writing it to a text file, but I want to know how to apply the same concept to an image. Particularly, how do I read in the image? I've seen text input get read by using read(STDIN, $some_variable)--does the same thing work with an image? Likewise, how do I write the image file? What function do I use? Thanks for your help. I know that I am rather naive about all of this.

  • Is it possible to to create a live linux iso containing a win xp virtual machine?

    I would like to have a Linux live system that contains a Windows xp virtual machine. This would be run from a bootable USB flash drive. My attempts so far have been unsuccessful. I created a Lubuntu 12.04 virtual machine with VMware. I updated and configured it to my needs, and installed Virtualbox. I then created a Windows xp vm with Virtualbox in the Lubuntu vm. I tested everything and everything worked, including USB devices. I installed Remastersys in the Lubuntu vm, copied the xp vm folder to the /etc/skel folder then created the custom iso with remastersys. I burned the iso and tested it on a laptop. It worked flawlessly. All programs and wireless networking worked. My problem was the xp vm. Virtualbox started fine but would not run the vm. I have the following error: Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Component: VirtualBox Interface: IVirtualBox {c28be65f-1a8f-43b4-81f1-eb60cb516e66}. I ran remastersys again changing the permissions on the skel folder to R W for everyone. I also logged into Lubuntu as root and ran remastersys again. Each iso I created worked fine but would not start the xp vm inside. The last attempt virtualbox gave me an access error stating it can not access the virtual disk. Is what I want to do possible? In theory I don't see why it would not work. Is it a permissions issue? Should I create the iso then add the xp vm after by editing the iso by hand? Using a vm and not real hardware as a build machine a problem? Any ideas? keep any responses in laymens terms. I am still a Linux novice.

  • Top Container Background Problem

The problem is that I have a background for the #container-top div on top of the #container div with absolute positioning. Is there any way to move the #personal div up so there would be no space left?   • 3D effect to distort paper

    This may be a little hard to describe since I don't have a sample. I'm trying to find a math function or full 3d function in php or a similar language that can help me with the following effect: imagine if you were to take a flat sheet or paper and glue it on a glass of water. It wouldn't be flat any more. It would have a curve, and one of its sides might end up being slightly hidden. Anyone can refer me to a good library or resource on the web where such functions can be found?

  • How would I detect horizontal-black lines using ImageMagick?

    So I have what is essentially a spreadsheet in TIFF format. There is some uniformity to it...for example, all the column widths are the same. I want to de-limit this sheet by those known-column widths and basically create lots of little graphic files, one for each cell, and run OCR on them and store it into a database. The problem is that the horizontal lines are not all the same height, so I need to use some kind of graphics library command to check if every pixel across is the same color (i.e. black). And if so, then I know I've reached the height-delimiter for a cell. How would I go about doing that? (I'm using RMagick)

  • Generating two thumbnails from the same image in Django

    Hello, this seems like quite an easy problem but I can't figure out what is going on here. Basically, what I'd like to do is create two different thumbnails from one image on a Django model. What ends up happening is that it seems to be looping and recreating the same image (while appending an underscore to it each time) until it throws up an error that the filename is to big.     I just installed Google's Page Speed plugin to Firebug, and everything looks good except for caching. I have set headers to cache my JS and CSS files, but it says the images aren't being cached. How can I make sure the images get cached for 30 days? These are static images, so I can't just add the headers with PHP like I did with the other files.
