• Resolving SNAPSHOT dependencies with timestamps from Ivy

  I am attempting to resolve timestamped SNAPSHOT dependencies with Ivy. The environment is Ant + Ivy 1.2.0 + Archiva. Archiva itself is populated from Maven2 builds. Ivy is only used to resolve dependencies (from a single, non Maven2 project). How can Ivy be configured to correctly resolve timestamped artifacts from an Archiva or m2 repository? • Calling a webservice through jquery cross domain

  hi there, i am new to jquery so please bare with me, I am trying to connect to a .asmx webservice (cross domain) by means of client-side script now actually i am having problems to use POST since it is being blocked and in firebug is giving me: OPTIONS Add(method name) 500 internal server error. I bypassed this problem by using GET instead, it is working fine when not inputting any parameters but is giving me trouble with parameters. please see below for the code.   Hey, I got a working webpage with CodeIgniter. I did now just upload it to my webserver and it gives me a 404 error. Despite reading several guides on ASCII, Unicode, utf-8 and the like, I think I'm still far from mastering the secrets of string encoding/decoding. I tried using "beforeSend:" to show the loading animation but it seems like "beforeSend" is not getting fired. The animation works fine when the app is on the same domain (using jsonp) but when I move the app into a different server, everything works except "beforeSend" is not getting called. So users will not be able to see the loading animation. Is there any workaround for this?

• XHTML / CSS help?

  Basically on GunChester my project I have an few pixel wide gap between #login_top (top image holder) and the 3 CSS col's below, #login_left, #login_centre and #login_right so that my first question why? and how can I fix this, this is in FF, Chrome and IE. Secondly the BG image seems to be overlaying twice as in its stretched at the top then the full picture does display as it should. I did have it working but when trying to fix the pixel gap I must of messed something up but no idea what, so it is now going pear shape, lease help with both these situations :)? • jQuery .ajax() call to page method works in FF only when async is false

  I'm calling a page method using .ajax() and it works in IE8 whatever the value of async is. However, in FF3.6, it only works with async set to false. When async is set to true, in Firebug, I just see status aborted. The page validates. • Cygwin command not found bad characters found in .bashrc 357\273\277

  Hello, I'm new to Cygwin, I just installed it and attempted to set some simple environment variables. However, when I open the command shell, I get the error "#357\273\277 command not found" I found an article that discusses what the problem is and how to "discover" the hidden bad character: http://mblog.lib.umich.edu/DataDiscussions/archives/2010/01/index.html but I don't know how to resolve the issue by removing the character (which I validated was a problem in my .bashrc file using the od command). I attempted to change the preferences view in Notepad++ to UTF-8 and ANSI to no avail, but the file was not altered at all. Any help would be appreciated...

So is it possible to only run the remote validation if the text field is different to what was originally in it? I noticed the the jQuery required validation has a depends option, but I couldn't get it to work with the remote call.

• GWT Query fails second time -only.

  HI, I have a visualization function in GWT which calls for two instances of the same panels - two queries. Now, suppose one url is A and the other url is B. Here, I am facing an issue in that if A is called first, then both A and B works. If B is called first, then only B works, A - times out. If I call both times A, only the first time A works, second time it times out. If I call B twice, it works both times without a hitch. Even though the error comes at timed out, it actually is not timing out - in FF status bar, it shows till - transferring data from A, and then it gets stuck. This doesnt even show up in the first time query. The only difference between A and B is that B returns very fast, while A returns comparitively slow.   There is the same question listed under http://stackoverflow.com/questions/427007/the-key-userid-does-not-exist-in-the-appsettings-configuration-section, but unfortunately none of the answers worked in my case. All was working fine, I checked everything in and when I opened the solution again, it started crashing on the above. I cannot find any hint of what I am doing wrong.   There seem to be a few plugins...and I'm using webstorm file watcher which also precompiles individual files. I think this may not be the best way to setup a watcher. I'm running this command now: sass --no-cache --update --stop-on-error --trace ./app/sass:./app/css It seems to conflict with the webstorm file watch, which appears to be appending everything to base.css. Can someone tell me what exactly this command is doing vs. a sass filewatcher in webstorm? What's the best way to work with sass: precompile my sass to css using a grunt build task and have file watchers while developing? Now this is most likely because you missed the fact that I am a newbie and assuming I can fill in any blanks. I hope somebody can break this down for me and provide a solution, and perhaps explain why I can't just create a View element in my main.xml layotu file and draw on it in code.

  Hello, I'm having an issue using Linq to XML parsing the following XML. What I am doing is getting the element checking if it's what I want, then moving to the next. I am pretty sure it has to do with the xmlns, but I need this code to work with both this style and normal style RSS feeds (no xmlns).
