  • Assign delegate event handler from dynamically added child control

    - by mickyjtwin
I have a control that handles commenting. In this control, I have set a delegate event handler for sending an email. I then have various types of controls, e.g. blog, articles etc, each of which may or may not have the commenting control added (which is done dynamically with me not knowing the id's), i.e. the commenting control is added outside this control. Each of these controls handles it's emailing differently(hence the event). What I'm trying to determine, is how to assign the event in the parent control. At the moment, I'm having to recursively search through all the controls on the page until I find the comment control, and set it that way. Example below explains: COMMENTING CONTROL public delegate void Commenting_OnSendEmail(); public partial class Commenting : UserControl { public Commenting_OnSendEmail OnComment_SendEmail(); private void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if(OnComment_SendEmail != null) { OnComment_SendEmail(); } } } PARENT CONTROL public partial class Blog : UserControl { private void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { Commenting comControl = (Commenting)this.FindControl<Commenting>(this); if(comControl != null) { comCtrol.OnComment_SendEmail += new Commenting_OnSendMail(Blog_Comment_OnSendEmail); } } } Is there an easier way?

  • How do I obtain the version information for my Windows Service programmatically

    - by user302004
    I need to obtain the version of my Windows service programmatically and store it in a string. Then, I'll append the version to my display name and service name in the ProjectInstaller class. Right now I'm getting an empty string and I'm having trouble debugging my setup project. Here's my current code: string version = null; try { Assembly exeAssembly = Assembly.GetEntryAssembly(); Type attrType = typeof(AssemblyFileVersionAttribute); object[] attributes = exeAssembly.GetCustomAttributes(attrType, false); if (attributes.Length 0) { AssemblyFileVersionAttribute verAttr = (AssemblyFileVersionAttribute)attributes[0]; if (verAttr != null) { version = verAttr.Version; } } } catch { } if (version == null) { version = string.empty; }

  • Hyper-V virtual machine can't be migrated to a specific host in the cluster

    - by Massimo
I have a three-node Hyper-V cluster running on Windows Server 2008 R2 which is working quite flawlessly: there are no errors, live migration works, all hosts can and will happily run all virtual machines, and so on. But one specific virtual machinee is trying to make me go mad: it works on two nodes of the cluster, but not on the third one. Whenever I try to move the VM to that node, be it in a live migration or with the VM powered off, it always fails. In the event log of the host these events are logged: Source: Hyper-V-VMMS Event ID: 16300 Cannot load a virtual machine configuration: General access denied error (0x80070005) (Virtual machine ID <GUID>) Source: Hyper-V-VMMS Evend ID: 20100 The Virtual Machine Management Service failed to register the configuration for the virtual machine '<GUID>' at 'C:\ClusterStorage\<PATH>\<VM>': General access denied error (0x80070005) Source: Hyper-V-High-Availability Event ID: 21102 'Virtual Machine Configuration <VM>' failed to register the virtual machine with the virtual machine management service. All other VMs can be moved to/from the offending host, and the offending VM can be moved between the other two hosts. Also, this is not a storage problem, because there are other VMs in the same cluster volume, and the host has no troubles running them. What's going on here?

  • Mass-migrating from POP3 to Exchange 2010, how do I copy mailboxes?

    - by Erik P. Skaalerud
I'm in the process of planning our migration from an internal hosted POP3-server (dovecot) to Exchange 2010. We're using Outlook 2003 for the moment, but will soon upgrade to Outlook 2010. The big problem is that we have about 50 computers here in our HQ, plus ~30 clients in branch offices (wich will get their Exchange migration later sometime). I'm the only IT personel, and having to go around and manually set up Outlook and copy over their PST contents is not a option I'm looking for. Some users have set outlook to keep messages for X number of days on the POP3 server, others have not. Using a POP3 connector to transfer over the mails is not a viable option. Here is what I've done so far: Created a transform for the Office 2003 administrative installation point Created a .PRF file to modify any existing e-mail account to switch over to Exchange (including the RPC-encrypt hotfix described in MSKB 2006508) Tested both transform and PRF, both works Created a test-OU and GPO containing the Office 2003 installation with transform applied, also works My big question is: How can I force Outlook to import any existing .PST into the new Exchange mailbox when the user starts up Outlook for the first time after the MST/PRF have been applied? Is this possible?

  • Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin not working with mod_rewrite + mod_jk

    - by tharant
My first question on here on SF so please forgive me if I manage to bork the post. :) Anyways, I'm using mod_rewrite on one of my machines with a simple rule that redirects to a webapp on another machine. I'm also setting the header 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' on both machines. The problem is that when I hit the rewrite rule, I loose the 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header setting. Here's an example of the Apache config for the first machine: NameVirtualHost 10.0.0.2:80 <VirtualHost 10.0.0.2:80> DocumentRoot /var/www/host.example.com ServerName host.example.com JkMount /webapp/* jkworker Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*" RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^/otherhost http://otherhost.example.com/webapp [R,L] </VirtualHost> And here's an example of the Apache config for the second: NameVirtualHost 10.0.1.2:80 <VirtualHost 10.0.1.2:80> DocumentRoot /var/www/otherhost.example.com ServerName otherhost.example.com JkMount /webapp/* jkworker Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*" </VirtualHost> When I hit host.example.com we see that the header is set: $ curl -i http://host.example.com/ HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Server: Apache/2.2.11 (FreeBSD) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.7e-p1 DAV/2 mod_jk/1.2.26 Content-Length: 0 Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * Content-Type: text/html;charset=ISO-8859-1 And when I hit otherhost.example.com we see that it too is setting the header: $ curl -i http://otherhost.example.com HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Apache/2.0.46 (Red Hat) Location: http://otherhost.example.com/index.htm Content-Length: 0 Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * Content-Type: text/html;charset=UTF-8 But when I try to hit the rewrite rule at host.example.com/otherhost we get no love: $ curl -i http://host.example.com/otherhost/ HTTP/1.1 302 Found Server: Apache/2.2.11 (FreeBSD) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.7e-p1 DAV/2 mod_jk/1.2.26 Location: http://otherhost.example.com/ Content-Length: 0 Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Can anybody point out what I'm doing wrong here? Could mod_jk be part of the problem?

  • Umbraco Permissions Script - Secure Version

    - by Vizioz Limited
Back in May I blogged about how to set Permissions for Umbraco using SetACL to set the appropriate directory permissions based on the installation recommendations.Recently I have been working on a site for a client who wanted every security item to be locked down as tightly as possible. • Changing Endpoint URL for a Web Service Data Control

    - by vishal.s.jain(at)oracle.com
When you move your application from Development to Production, there is more often then not, a need to change the web service endpoint URL in your ADF application. If you are using a Web Service Data Control(WSDC), you can do this in more than one ways. The following example illustrates how this can be done.At Design TimeIf the application workspace is in your control, you can quickly do this by updating the definition in DataControl.dcx file:Along with this, you will also need to change the endpoint in connections.xml. So invoke the Edit Connections dialog: Then, change the endpoint URL.At DeploymentAnother way to change is changing the endpoint at the ear level, at deployment. So when you select Deploy -> Application Server at the Application level, it will bring up a Deployment Configuration dialog, in which you can edit the WSDL URL:Also, change the Port URL:At Post DeploymentIf your need to change this post deployment, you can do it through Oracle Enterprise Manager. But for this, your application needs to be configured with a writable MDS repository. It is recommended you use a Database MDS store during deployment. So have your application configured (by having an entry in adf-config.xml) and server configured (by having a MDS store registered). Once done, you can configure the ADF Connection in EM for this application:Change the WSDL location here on 'Edit':Also, change the Port using Advance Connection Configuration:Change the Endpoint Address here:Apply Changes and you are done!

  • Installing OpenSSL that supports SNI along with previous version of OpenSSL

    - by gh0sT
So I learned that to host multiple HTTPS websites on the same IP address you need an OpenSSL version that supports SNI (0.9.8f and higher). My RHEL5 box currently has 0.9.8e and Apache version httpd-2.2.26-2.el5. According to a same question here it's not a good idea to replace the original version of OpenSSL and instead to have a parallel installation. It however doesn't explicitly mention how to achieve this. So my questions are: How do I have an alternate installation of OpenSSL without breaking the system? How do I make Apache to use this version of OpenSSL and not the original one? A detailed guide would be extremely helpful.

  • SQL 2008 SP2 RsClientPrint ActiveX - "Unable to load client print control"

    - by Miles
We recently updated our SQL 2008 server to use SP 2 and its causing a few headaches. We use SSRS on this server and when a client tries to print a report by the built-in print function, we're needing to download the RsClientPrint ActiveX control from the server from the client gets the following error Unable to load client print control. We have about 700 computers that are needing this fixed and I've followed the instructions found on the following URL: http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/client-side-printing-silent-deployment-of-rsclientPrint.aspx We have two issues: Most of the users who will be using this ActiveX control are not local administrators so they will not be able to install the control themselves Since there are so many computers, this has to be done silently behind the scenes run by a local admin account After following the information from the link above, we're able to put the files in the C:\Windows\System32 folder and register the DLL but we still get the same problem. The only small thing I've noticed is that in the HTML for the report page, everything that references a version is referencing version 2007.100.4000.00 and the version of the DLL that I pulled from the report server is 2007.100.1600.22. Also, for some clients that are local administrators, they are prompted every time to install the ActiveX control when they click print. This works successfully but we can't have the user asked if they want to install the same control every time they need to print.

  • Exchange migration to 2007 making Outlook 2003 unable to read meeting requests

    - by Kvad
Hi, We are currently moving from Exchange 2003 to 2007 (8.2 build 176.2). We have encounted an issue with one user. In Outlook 2003 when getting a meeting request: "Can't open this item. Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are nto valid." The item cannot be previewed in the reading pane either. The item can be viewed in OWA and iPhone fine. I've tried with cache mode off and on. Different computers. Same issue. There are the following entries on the account: SMTP [email protected] [email protected] X400 C=AU;A= ;P=Company Name;O=Exchange;S=LastName;G=FirstName; I'm loathe to recreate the account. This will be an extreme last resort. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • Google privacy concerns: trustworthy alternatives for migration?

    - by Markos Fragkakis
I have come to realize the tremendous amount of information Google has on its users. I am a typical Google user, using Gmail, Google Reader. This means that right now Google now has the following information at its disposal: Who my friends are (Gmail) What we talk about (Gmail, Google Talk) What news sources I follow (Google Reader) How frequently I check them and which ones I consider important enough to share (Google Reader) A lot of other stuff What I search about and when (if I search when logged in) (Web search) I have no reason to believe that this information is used for reasons other than adjusting what ads I am displayed when I visit a site with Google Ads. However, I have realised that I am in no position to be certain that this is absolutely true, or that it always will be. On the other hand, I don't want to reach the uber-privacy-maniac state of maintaining my own email server and installing a desktop RSS reader in all my machines. So, I am asking for your opinions: What services constitute a good set of alternatives to the Google services, promising better privacy? Pros: Privacy Free Powerful Usable

  • Is there an Android remote app compatible with LibreOffice Impress under Ubuntu?

    - by WarriorIng64
I have an upcoming presentation I want to make in LibreOffice Impress on my Ubuntu 12.10 laptop. I was wondering if I could get ahold of an Android app which would act like a remote control, allowing me to switch between slides from my phone over WiFi without having to stay near the laptop (I've been told I need to move around more during my presentations). A quick look on the Google Play store seemed to turn up a handful of PowerPoint remote apps for Windows or maybe Mac. I also took a look at Can an Android phone control Ubuntu like a remote?, but that seems more for controlling an Ubuntu media center. Is there anything which will work with LibreOffice Impress on Ubuntu? My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Precedent on Straight Talk, running Android 2.2.2 (latest available version from the carrier). It's not rooted, and there's not much memory on it either, so the smaller and simpler the app the better. Also, it has to be free because I currently don't have a means to pay for an app I may/may not like.

  • Windows 7 migration led to crashdump and hibernate problems

    - by MartyMacGyver
Note: I'm using a Samsung 830 SSD (migrated OS from defunct PC) and other than these two (interrelated?) problems it's working fine. Surprisingly well actually. Motherboard is a ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe. Problem 1: Crashdumps are not working. volmgr throws an event 45 "The system could not sucessfully load the crash dump driver." whenever you modify crashdump settings, or if a crashdump occurs. diskpart says that "Crashdump disk = no" which is peculiar. Problem 2: Hibernation isn't working. Again, volmgr throws the same event 45 if you try to hibernate. The screen blanks, then you're at the password prompt. No sleepage occurs. (Yes, I know I should avoid hibernation on SSDs but it's enabled and the hibernation file is definitely there so I'd like to know why it's failing). Diskpart claims "Hibernation file = no" which is again peculiar... it's plainly there and getting created by the system. The common factor appears to be volmgr and/or the crashdump "service" (if that's what it is). I'd much rather get this working than spend days reinstalling and reconfiguring the entire system, especially when it's working perfectly otherwise. Sleep works as well (as long as it's not hybrid sleep). So, what defines the flags "Crashdump disk" and "Hibernation file disk" in diskpart's output? And what might be going wrong that's breaking crashdumps in particular?

  • Weblogic domain scale up using EM Grid Control 11gR1

    - by dmitry.nefedkin(at)oracle.com
As you know a weblogic domain consists of set of servers running independently or in a cluster mode, sharing the distributed resources. And in most environments weblogic  cluster consists of multiple managed servers running simultaneously and working together to provide increased scalability and reliability.  These servers can run on the same machine, or be located on different machines.  It's a common task to increase a cluster's capacity by adding new machines to the cluster to host the new server instances.  You can do it by manually installing weblogic binaries to the new host and use pack/unpack commands to add a managed server to this new host.  But with Enterprise Manager Grid Control 11gR1 (EMGC) there is  another way - Fusion Middleware Domain Scale Up  procedure. I'm going to show you how it works. Here is a picture of  my medrec_oradb weblogic domain, what is registered in EMGC. It contains an admin server and a cluster MedRecCluster with  the single managed server MS1. Both admin and managed servers are on the same host oel46-vmware, it's a virtual machine with OEL 4.6 that runs inside our Oracle VM infrastructure.  And here are the application deployments, note that couple of applications are deployed to the cluster.First of all I have to prepare a new machine that will host new managed sever of my cluster. I created new VM with OEL 5.4 using the corresponding Oracle VM template available in Oracle E-Delivery site for Oracle Linux and Oracle VM and named it wls1032. Next step is to install Oracle EM Grid Control 11gR1 Agent to this new host.  You can download it from the OTN page and install it manually,  or you can use Agent Installation Deployment procedure available in EMGC  (Deployments->Agent Installation->Install Agent). Anyway, when you agent is up and running on the new machine, you will see it in EMGC Console in the Targets->Hosts subtab. Now we are ready to scale up our weblogic domain. Click the Deployments tab in Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control, and then click Deployment Procedure. Select a Fusion Middleware Domain Scale Up procedure from the list, and click Schedule Deployment. The first page of the FMW Domain Scale Up Wizard is displayed and you can proceed with the deployment process.Select the domain from list, enter the working directory on the admin server host, and also fill the weblogic credentials for the administration server console and the OS credentials for the  admin server host.  Click Next button.  The next step allows you to configure you domain, to add a new manager server to the cluster you should select the cluster in the tree and click Add Server button. Select the newly added server in a tree, choose the target host and  enter the configuration details of your managed server. You can also add new machine and node manager details.  Please note that you cannot change the values in  Domain Location and Fusion Middleware Home fields, so these locations on the target host will be the same as for the admin server host.   Working directory on the target host should have enough free space to store FMW home binaries and domain configuration files.  In my experience the working directories should have at least 3 Gb of free space.  The last thing you should fill is the OS credentials for the target host. The next steps allows you to schedule the execution of the procedure, it is started immediately in my example. The last step is just a review the configuration for the domain scale up. Click Submit to launch the process. You can track the status of the procedure execution by selecting Deployments->Deployment Procedures->Procedure Completion Status in the EMGC Console. As you can see in the picture below, the procedure consists of the many steps, and I'm going to share my experience about the issues that I had at some of the steps. Please keep in mind that you can always continue the execution from the last successfully completed step by clicking Retry button.Check OUI Prerequisites  step may fail if the target host does  not pass prerequisites checks for Weblogic Server installation such as amount of RAM, linux packages installed, etc. Create FMW Clone Archive step may fail if you do not have enough free space in the working directory on the administration server host.Transfer cloning archive to targets  step  may fail if the EMGC agents on the admin server host or on target host are not secured.   You should secure the agent by issuing ./emctl secure agent  command from $AGENT_HOME/bin directory and entering the agent registration password. Both Transfer cloning archive to targets and Apply Clone at target hosts steps may fail if you do not have enough free space in the working directory on the target host. The most complicated issue I had on the Run Inventory Collection  step. • Windows XP Ubuntu Installer (version 11.10) error dialog - Permission Denied

When installing Ubuntu 11.10 on Windows XP (2nd option in installer), the install failed with popup. How can I fix this? Here is the contents of file "C:\Documents and Settings\Keith\Local Settings\Temp\wubi-11.10-rev241.log". • "No version information available" - After installing Postgres

    - by intellidiot
I have installed Postgres 9.1.4 on an Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) 64-bit from here http://www.openscg.com/se/postgresql/packages.jsp, but right after installing many commands (programs) are throwing these following warnings in different combinations: /opt/postgres/9.1/lib/libxml2.so.2: no version information available /opt/postgres/9.1/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0: no version information available /opt/postgres/9.1/lib/libssl.so.1.0.0: no version information available Though this is not restricting anything, this is often getting very annoying. Is there a way to get rid of this without uninstalling Postgres?

  • Can't uninstall SBS 2003 in sbs 2003 -> sbs 2008 migration

    - by ChrisMuench
I'm trying to remove sbs from my sbs 2003 server. Also I'm logged in as Administrator. However When I start to go through the wizard it gives me the following error. You must be a member of the Domain Admins, Schema Admins, and Enterprise Admins group. I then did some research and found this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/842694) and I came to the point where it says to delete the server from Sites and Services. However when I clicked delete it wanted me to dcpromo the box first. However I have read you have to uninstall exchange first and then dcpromo it to remove AD. Any ideas?
