mootools slideshow not working with JQuery. Need help !

I am working on a site http://tapasya.co.in where i just impemented mootools slideshow. But I noticed that menubar that i was using stopped working, it was supposed to drop horizontaly but it is not being displayed now. I have used jquery for it. Please see the source of the web page. What can be the problem ? Mootools conflicting with javascript or some other problem. If I tries to use $.noConflict() it throws me an error in script Uncaught TypeError: Object function (B,C){if(B&&B.$family&&B.uid){return B}var A=$type(B);return($[A])?$[A](B,C,this.document):null} has no method 'noConflict' I tried the given solution below. HttpWebRequest: How to find a postal code at Canada Post through a WebRequest with x-www-form-enclos

I'm currently writing some tests so that I may improve my skills with the Internet interaction through Windows Forms. One of those tests is to find a postal code which should be returned by Canada Post website. My default URL setting is set to: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/fpc/personal/findByCity?execution=e4s1 The required form fields are: streetNumber, streetName, city, province The contentType is "application/x-www-form-enclosed" EDIT: Please consider the value "application/x-www-form-encoded" instead of point 3 value as the contentType. (Thanks EricLaw-MSFT!) The result I get is not the result expected. I get the HTML source code of the page where I could manually enter the information to find the postal code, but not the HTML source code with the found postal code. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong? Shall I consider going the XML way? Is it first of all possible to search on Canada Post anonymously? There's one with the "meta"-variables which stipulates the following: meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="application/xhtml+xml, text/xml, text/html; charset=utf-8" And another one later down the code that is read as: form id="fpcByAdvancedSearch:fpcSearch" name="fpcByAdvancedSearch:fpcSearch" method="post" action="/cpotools/apps/fpc/personal/findByCity?execution=e1s1" enctype="application/x-www-form-urlencoded" My question is the following: With which one do I have to stick? Let me guess, the first ContentType is to be considered as the second is only for another request to a function or so when the data is posted? Trouble calculating correct decimal digits.

I am trying to create a program that will do some simple calculations, but am having trouble with the program not doing the correct math, or placing the decimal correctly, or something. Some other people I asked cannot figure it out either. Assume the employee receives a pay raise once every year. The user specifies in the application the initial weekly salary, the amount of the raise (in percent per year) and the number of years for which the amounts earned will be calculated. Store the values typed at the keyboard in the rate, years and wage variables, respectively. Use the left and setw stream manipulators to display a table header as shown in Fig. 8.22 in your text. The first column should be six characters wide. Then use the fixed and setprecision stream manipulators to format floating- point values with two positions to the left of the decimal point. Writing a for statement header. Insert a for statement. Before the first semicolon in the for statement header, define and initialize the variable counter to 1. To do this, add 1 to the percentage increase (be sure to divide the percentage by 100.0 ) and multiply the result by the current value in wage. Save, compile and run the application. Input a raise percentage and a number of years for the wage increase. View the results to ensure that the correct years are displayed and that the future wage results are correct. Problems with multiple setIntervals running simultaneously

Hello, My first post here. I want to make a horizontal menu with submenu's sliding down on mouseover. I know I could use jQuery but this is to practice my javascript skills. If i go now over menu B the interval applied to A is now applied to B. There are now 2 interval functions applied to B. The one originally for A and a new one triggered by the mouseover on B. If I would go to A all the intervals are now applied to A. I have been searching for hours but and I am completely stuck. Thanks in advance.

Python Mechanize unable to avoid redirect when Post

I am trying to crawl a site using mechanize. The site provides search results in different pages. When posting to get the next set of results, something is wrong and the server redirects me to the first page, asking mechanize to update the SearchSession Cookie. I have been debugging the requests using Firefox and they look quite the same, and I am unable to find the problem. Any suggestion? How Do I Bind a "selected Item" in a Listbox to a ItemsControl in WPF?

LowDown: I am trying to create a Document Viewer in WPF. It will allow the user to preview selected documents and if they want, compare the documents in WPF. So they can view them side by side. The layout is this: Left side is a full list box. On the right side is a Collection or an Items control. Inside the items control will be a collection of the "selected documents" in the list box. So A user can select multiple items in the list box and for each new item they select, they can add the item to the collection on the right. I want the collection to look like a image gallery that shows up in Google/Bing Image searches. Make sense? The problem I am having is I can't get the WPFPreviewer to bind correctly to the selected item in the list box under the itemscontrol. Side Note: The WPFPreviewer is something Micorosft puts out that allows us to preview documents. Other previewers can be built for all types of documents, but im going basic here until I get this working right. $.noConflict() not working with mootools slide show. Need help !

But I noticed that menubar that i was using stopped working, it was supposed to drop horizontaly but it is not being displayed now. I have used jquery for it. Please see the source of the web page. To address this issue, I have encapsulated the invocation of MyApp.java in a shell script and then appended “/dev/null 2&1 &” to spawn a separate background process. Here is the snip (this is just a snip and not the actual one) from runTest.sh: java - DMY_APP_HOME =$2 com.foo.MyApp > /dev/null 2>&1 & Although this solves my issue, is there any other way to do it? Am I missing any argument for exec-maven-plugin?

If i go now over menu B the interval applied to A is now applied to B. There are now 2 interval functions applied to B. The one originally for A and a new one triggered by the mouseover on B. ObjectContext.SaveChanges() fails with SQL CE

I am creating a model-first Entity Framework 4 app that uses SQL CE as its data store. All is well until I call ObjectContext.SaveChanges() to save changes to the entities in the model. At that point, SaveChanges() throws a System.Data.UpdateException, with an inner exception message that reads as follows: Server-generated keys and server-generated values are not supported by SQL Server Compact. I am completely puzzled by this message. Any idea what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks. "Local transaction already has 1 non-XA Resource: cannot add more resources" error

After reading previous questions about this error, it seems like all of them conclude that you need to enable XA on all of the data sources. But: What if I don't want a distributed transaction? What would I do if I want to start transactions on two different databases at the same time, but commit the transaction on one database and roll back the transaction on the other? I'm wondering how my code actually initiated a distributed transaction. It looks to me like I'm starting completely separate transactions on each of the databases. I ran the app on two different sun application servers. On one runs it fine, the other throws the error. I don't see any difference in how the two servers are configured although they do connect to different, but equivalent databases. So the question is Why doesn't the above code start completely independent transactions? How can I force it to start independent transactions rather than a distributed transaction? What configuration could cause the difference in behavior between the two application servers? Thanks.

How to Bind a selected Item in a Listbox to a ItemsControl and ItemTemplate in WPF and C#

All, LowDown: I am trying to create a Document Viewer in WPF. The layout is this: Left side is a full list box. On the right side is a Collection or an Items control. Inside the items control will be a collection of the "selected documents" in the list box. So A user can select multiple items in the list box and for each new item they select, they can add the item to the collection on the right. I want the collection to look like a image gallery that shows up in Google/Bing Image searches. Make sense? The problem I am having is I can't get the WPFPreviewer to bind correctly to the selected item in the list box under the itemscontrol. Side Note: The WPFPreviewer is something Micorosft puts out that allows us to preview documents. Other previewers can be built for all types of documents, but im going basic here until I get this working right. Windows NT Service shutdown issues

I have developed middleware that provides RPC functionality to multiple client applications on multiple platforms within our organization. The middleware is written in C# and runs as a Windows NT Service. It handles things like file access to network shares, database access, etc. The middleware is hosted on two high end systems running Windows Server 2008 R2. When one of our server administrators goes to reboot the machine, primarily to do Windows Updates, there are serious problems with how the system behaves in regards to my NT Service. My service is designed to immediately stop listening for new connections, immediately start refusing new requests on existing connections, and otherwise shut down as rapidly as possible in the case of an OnStop or OnShutdown request from the SCM. Still, to maintain system integrity, operations that are currently in progress are allowed to continue for a reasonable time. Usually the server shuts down inside of 30 seconds (when the service is manually stopped for example). However, when the system is instructed to restart, my service immediately loses access to network drives and UNC paths, causing data integrity problems for any open files and partial writes to those locations. My service does list Workstation (and thus SMB Redirector) as a dependency, so I would think that my service would need to be stopped prior to Workstation/Redirector being stopped if Windows were honoring those dependencies. Basically, my application is forced to crash and burn, failing remote procedure calls and eventually being forced to terminate by the operating system after a timeout period has elapsed (seems to be on the order of 20-30 seconds). Unlike a Windows application, my Windows NT Service doesn't seem to have any power to stop a system shutdown in progress, delay the system shutdown, or even just the opportunity to save out any pending network share disk writes before being forcibly disconnected and shutdown. How is an NT Service developer supposed to have any kind of application integrity in this environment? Why is it that Forms Applications get all of the opportunity to finish their business prior to shutdown, while services seem to get no such benefits? I have tried: Calling SetProcessShutdownParameters via p/invoke to try to notify my application of the shutdown sooner to avoid Redirector shutting down before I do. Calling ServiceBase.RequestAdditionalTime with a value less than or equal to the two minute limit. Tweaking the WaitToKillServiceTimeout Everything I can think of to make my service shutdown faster. But in the end, I still get ~30 seconds of problematic time in which my service doesn't even seem to have been notified of an OnShutdown event yet, but requests are failing due to redirector no longer servicing my network share requests. How is this issue meant to be resolved? What can I do to delay or stop the shutdown, or at least be allowed to shut down my active tasks without Redirector services disappearing out from under me? I can understand what Microsoft is trying to do to prevent services from dragging their feet and showing shutdowns, but that seems like a great goal for Windows client operating systems, not for servers. I don't want my servers to shutdown fast, I want operational integrity and graceful shutdowns. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. PS in regards to writing my own middleware, this is for a telephony application with sub-second "soft-realtime" response time requirements. It does make sense, and it's not a point I'm looking to debate. :)

Need suggestions on how to extract data from .docx/.doc file then into mssql

I'm suppose to develop an automated application for my project, it will load past-year examination/exercises paper (word file), detect the sections accordingly, extract the questions and images in that section, and then store the questions and images into the database. (Preview of the question paper is at the bottom of this post) So I need some suggestions on how to extract data from a word file, then inserting them into a database. Currently I have a few methods to do so, however I have no idea how I could implement them when the file contains textboxes with background image. The question has to link with the image. These menu items should show up only when the user has add and edit permissions for that document library. If he selected the menu, url is redirected to my webpart. Now I´m pretty sure that 'something' outside code is trying to access an object previously released and I can't know where or why it happens neither where it was released... The transition from an ACLinkedView object to another is going through a validation that depends on the view where you are ... As you see I used this proof of concept as the foundation of my application and it grew and grew into an application that makes use of configuration files, web services (using gSOAP and C ...) I hope you can give me some clues to where is my error ... I´ve been the hole week debugging unsuccessfully, as I said before, I think that that message comes from a point outside my code. I'd say that the problem s related with bad memory allocation or automatisms (nearly completely unknowns for me) during loading the nib components... Binding a property to change the listbox items foreground individually for each item

I'm trying to change the foreground color of the items in the ListBox individually for each item, I've already posted a similar question but this one is more concrete. I hoped that the state of the color is reserved for each item added to the ListBox, so I tried to create a property (in this case "HotkeysForeground"), bind it and change the color when the items are added in the "HotkeyManager_NewHotkey" event, the problem it's changing the foreground color for all the items in the ListBox. How can I do that per item ? How the JOptionPane works

How can I control what happens with window after clicking JOPtionPane buttons ? I'm trying to implement simple file chooser. In my frame I have 3 buttons (OK, Cancel, Browse). Browse button opens file search window, and after picking files should return to main frame. Clicking OK will open a frame with the content of the file. Now porblem looks this way. Help needed with drawRect:

Hi, I'm having a fundamental issue with use of drawRect: Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The application needs to draw a variety of .png images at different times, sometimes with animation, sometimes without. A design goal that I was hoping to adhere to is to have the code inside drawRect: very simple and "dumb" - i.e. just do drawing and no other application logic. To draw the image I am using the drawAtPoint: method of UIImage. Since this method does not take a CGContext as a parameter, it can only be called within the drawRect: method. So I have: - (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect { [firstImage drawAtPoint:CGPointMake(firstOffsetX, firstOffsetY)]; } All fine and dandy for one image. To draw multiple images (over time) the approach I have taken is to maintain an array of dictionaries with each dictionary containing an image, the point location to draw at and a flag to enable/suppress drawing for that image. I add dictionaries to the array over time and trigger drawing via the setNeedsDisplay: method of UIView. Use of an array of dictionaries allows me to completely reconstruct the entire display at any time. drawRect: now becomes: - (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect { for (NSMutableDictionary *imageDict in [self imageDisplayList]) { if ([[imageDict objectForKey:@"needsDisplay"] boolValue]) { [[imageDict objectForKey:@"image"] drawAtPoint:[[imageDict objectForKey:@"location"] CGPointValue]]; [imageDict setValue:[NSNumber numberWithBool:NO] forKey:@"needsDisplay"]; } } } Still OK. More specifically: drawRect: starts to bloat quickly and contain code that is not "just drawing" code the UIView needs implicit awareness of the application state the overall process of drawing is now spread across three methods at a minimum And on to the point of this post: how can I do this better? What would the experts out there recommend in terms of overall structure? How can I keep application state information out of the view? Am I looking at this problem from the wrong direction. Is there some completely different approach that I should consider?

Templates and inheritance

Hello, I have a big problem. I use additional controls for Wpf. One of them is Telerik RadWindow This control is already templated. Now I want to create custom Window with will inherit from RadWindow, and make custom template, eg. One base window will contains grid and two buttons, second base window will contain two grids (master - detail). The problem is that templates do not support inheritance. Perhaps is another way to template only the content of Winodow? [C#] Not enough memory or not enough handles?

I am working on a large scale project where a custom (pretty good and robust) framework has been provided and we have to use that for showing up forms and views. There is abstract class StrategyEditor (derived from some class in framework) which is instantiated whenever a new StrategyForm is opened. StrategyForm (a customized window frame) contains StrategyEditor. StrategyEditor contains StrategyTab. StrategyTab contains StrategyCanvas. This is a small portion of the big classes to clarify that there are many objects that will be created if one StrategyForm object is allocated in memory at run-time. My component owns all these classes mentioned above except StrategyForm whose code is not in my control. Now, at run-time, user opens up many strategy objects (which trigger creation of new StrategyForm object.) After creating approx. 44 strategy objects, we see that the USER OBJECT HANDLES (I'll use UOH from here onwards) created by the application reaches to about 20k+, while in registry the default amount for handles is 10k. Read more about User Objects here. Testing on different machines made it clear that the number of strategy objects opened is different for message to pop-up - on one m/c if it is 44, then it can be 40 on another. When we see the message pop-up, it means that the application is going to respond slowly. It gets worse with few more objects and then creation of window frames and subsequent objects fail. We first thought that it was not-enough-memory issue. But then reading more about new in C# helped in understanding that an exception would be thrown if app ran out of memory. This is not a memory issue then, I feel (task manager also showed 1.5GB+ available memory.) M/C specs Core 2 Duo 2GHz+ 4GB RAM 80GB+ free disk space for page file Virtual Memory set: 4000 - 6000 My questions Q1. Does this look like a memory issue and I am wrong that it is not? Q2. Does this point to exhaustion of free UOHs (as I'm thinking) and which is resulting in failure of creation of window handles? Q3. How can we avoid loading up of an StrategyEditor object (beyond a threshold, keeping an eye on the current usage of UOHs)? (we already know how to fetch number of UOHs in use, so don't go there.) Keep in mind that the call to new StrategyForm() is outside the control of my component. Q4. I am bit confused - what are Handles to user objects exactly? Is MSDN talking about any object that we create or only some specific objects like window handles, cursor handles, icon handles? Q5. What exactly cause to use up a UOH? (almost same as Q4) I would be really thankful to anyone who can give me some knowledgeable answers. Thanks much! :)

How to set icon to title bar for each Activity in Tablelayout in android

In my tablayout example, i have created 3 tabs, as usually i set 3 activities for each tab. I can set image to title bar of activity, which adds the intent to each tab. My programming decissions are directly related to how much room I have left, or worse perhaps how much I need to shave off in order to get up the 10mb limit. I have read that Apple has quietly increased the 3G & Edge download limit from 10mb up to 20mb in preparation for the iPad in April. Either way, my real question is how can I gauge a rough estimate of how large my app will end while I'm still in the development phase? Is the file size of my development folder roughly 1 to 1 ratio? Is the compressed file size of my development a better approximation? My .xcodeproj file is only a couple hundred kB, but the size of my folder is 11.8 MB. I have a .sqlite database, less than 20 small png images and a Settings.Bundle. The rest are unknown Xcode files related to build, build for iphoneOS, simulator etc.... My source code is rather large with around 1000 lines in most of the major controllers, all in all around 48 .h&.m files. But my classes folder inside my development folder is less than 800kb. Digging around inside my Build file, there is lots of iphone simulator files and debugging files which I don't think will contribute to the final product. The Application file states that it is around 2.3 MB. However, this is such a large difference from the 11.8 MB, I have to wonder if this is just another piece of the equation. I have the app on the my device, I'm in the testing phase. Therefore, I though that I would try to see how large the working version was on the device by checking in iTunes, however my development app is visible on the right-hand the application's iphone screen, but no information about the app most importantly its size. I also checked in Organizer, I used the lower portion of the screen-(Applications), found my application and selected the drop down arrow which gave my "Application Data" and a download arrow button to the right to save a file on my desktop, named with the unique AppleID. Inside the folder it had three folders-(documents, library, tmp) the documents had a copy of my .sqlite database, the library a few more files but not anything obvious or of size, and the tmp was empty. All in all the entire folder was only 164kb-which tells me that this is not the right place to find the size either. I understand that the size is considered to be the size of my binary plus all the additional files and images that I have add. Does anyone have a effective way of guaging how large the binary is or the relating the development folder size to what the final App Store application size will end up. I know that questions have been posted with similar aspects, but I could not find any answered post that really described...what files, or how to determine size specifically. I know that this question looks like a book, but I just wanted to be specific in conveying exactly what I'm looking for and the attempts thus far. *Note all files are unzipped and still in regular working Xcode order of a single app with no brought-in builds or referenced projects. I'm sure that this is straight forward, I just don't know where to look?
