    I have alot of wav files stored in sqlite3, but when I retrieve one of them, I can't play it. The retrieve code is NSData *soundData = (NSDATA *)sqlite3_column_blob(statement, 0); mPlayer = [[AVAudioPlayer alloc] initWithData:soundData error:&error]; The data is stored as binary and it's there when I search for it using sqlite3.

  • How can I add file locations to a database after they are uploaded using a Perl CGI script?

    I have a CGI program I have written using Perl. One of its functions is to upload pics to the server. All of it is working well, including adding all kinds of info to a MySQL db. My question is: How can I get the uploaded pic files location and names added to the db? I would rather that instead of changing the script to actually upload the pics to the db. I have heard horror stories of uploading binary files to databases. Since I am new to all of this, I am at a loss. Have tried doing some research and web searches for 3 weeks now with no luck. Any suggestions or answers would be greatly appreciated. I would really hate to have to manually add all the locations/names to the db. I am using: a Perl CGI script, MySQL db, Linux server and the files are being uploaded to the server. I AM NOT looking to add the actual files to the db. Just their location(s).

    Can someone professional experienced Magento developer tell me how to accomplish the following in Magento? I want to know what are the possible tags that can fit in the "global" tag of the "config.xml" page of every module's etc folder? I have tried searching for this answer at many places in Internet but in vain. Please provide the full details along with it for Magento version = 1.4.0.0, because I want at least the users accessing this website find it useful enough, instead of scratching their heads. I really want a detailed explanation, because every newbie like me gets totally confused at this point. From what I know till now, is that in this page, you can set routers, rewrites, cron jobs, admin html, front-end html and many more. But without any strong concepts, none can go ahead with the belief that his code is 100% correct w.r.t. the Magento MVC architecture. So please I want that strong fundamental concept, getting underlined here, with a detailed explanation about it, so that no one gets into this pitfall ever again.   • Url rewriting : prevent to display xml

    Edit : I've got an aspx file (default.aspx) that loads a flash file (index.swf), but this swf needs a xml file (foo.xml) to load correctly. However, I would like to block any request aiming directly at the xml file. Is it possible, using a rewritting engine (isapi_rewrite for example) to detect if the xml file is being 'hotlinked' or being loaded by the 'index.swf'(inside default.aspx)? Any ideas? Thank you.

  • Is it possible to easily modify the log4net section in the config file of several running applicatio

    Dear ladies and sirs. Our product consists of client, server and agents. Each deployed on different machines. The QA is having a hard time to manipulate the log4net sections in the respective config files. Right now, they have to have remote desktops to all the relevant machines and open notepad in each of them and then edit the files one at a time switching between different machines as they proceed. A real pain in the ass. Can anyone suggest a better solution to this problem? Thanks.

Either way, I need to be able to pull the filename from the variable: http://www.somesite.com/dir1/dir2/filename.gif /dir1/dir2/filename.gif The directory structure is also arbitrary. So basically given either of the url's above (with arbirtrary directory structure) I need to pull 'filename.gif'. Thanks in advance

    Can a Silverlight application call a method in a full .NET c# class library? I am trying to add a Silverlight control to my Existing ASP.NET project where i used to add reference to my Business Logic Project and access methods from My UI pages of ASP.NET Web application. Now I have added one Silverlight project to my solution. How can I use the already existing BL method which is in a C# class library ? When tried to add reference, it is saying that "You can only add project reference to other silver light projects in the solution". Should i give up ? Is there any way to get rid of this ?

I am wondering if there is a easy way to use emacs that when I highlight a variable name I can go straight to where it is declared?   • Should I create a new extension for an xml file?

    I'm working with a data model stored in XML files. I want to create some metadata for the model and store it alongside, but would like to be able to distinguish between the two. The data model is imported into some software from time to time and we don't want it to try to import the meta data files. To get round this, I've been thinking of creating a new extension for the metadata xml files (say .mdml). Is this good practice?

  • Mac OS X: getting file system changes of the last minute?

    From older times (Mac OS 10.4) I had found this command line on the web somewhere: mdfind '(kMDItemFSContentChangeDate >= $time.now(-60)) && (kMDItemFSContentChangeDate <= $time.now)' it gave me a list of files that where changed in the last minute. This does not work anymore on Mac OS 10.6. Can anybody explain why this doesn't work? And even suggest a working command line?
