    Hey guys, i have a list of items containig names. then i have a eventlistener, which ckecks for keypress event. if the user types i.g. an A all names starting with an A should be viewed with the A bold. so all starting As should be bold. what is the best way using jquery to highlite only a part of a string? thanks for your help

    I have to compare a class object against a list of pre defined classes. Is it safe to use == or should I use equals()? if (klass == KlassA.class) { } else if (klass == KlassB.class) { } else if (klass == KlassC.class) { } else { } Note: I cannot use instanceof, I don't have an object, I just have the class object.     I am trying to read an ini file that has the following format: SETTING=VALUE SETTING2=VALUE2 I currently have the following code: string cache = sr.ReadToEnd(); string[] splitCache = cache.Split(new string[] {"\n", "\r\n"}, StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries); Which gives me a list of settings, however, what I would like to do is read this into a dictionary. My question is, is there a way to do this without iterating through the entire array and manually populating the dictionary?

  • How to test unescaped &nbsps; as a whitespace

    I use apache common lang to unescape a block of html text which contains &nbsp;, I want to filter out blocks that contains only whitespaces. But I can't test the   as a whitespace. It's not in the normal whitespace list(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitespace_character), and I try to print its Hex form by calling Character.getNumericValue which return -1. &nbsp should be a whitespace,isn't? But How can I test it?

  • Oracle forms API - c-based compile error

    i am trying to compile a c-based forms api program on Linux x86_64 using command gcc -m32 -I"$ORACLE_HOME/forms/api" -L"$ORACLE_HOME/forms/lib" -L"$ORACLE_HOME/lib" -ld2f fapi.c it fails with a bunch of undefined references. $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libd2f.so: undefined reference to `sifom' $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libd2f.so: undefined reference to `idfrsti' $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libd2f.so: undefined reference to `simmal' etc... does anyone know the list of all the library files i need to add?

    In a MySQL query I am using the timediff/time_to_sec functions to calculate the total minutes between two date-times. For example: 2010-03-23 10:00:00 - 2010-03-23 08:00:00 = 120 minutes What I would like to do is exclude any breaks that occur during the selected time range. For example: 2010-03-23 10:00:00 - 2010-03-23 08:00:00 - (break 08:55:00 to 09:10:00) = 105 minutes Is there a good method to do this without resorting to a long list of nested IF statements?

    Have to use free WPF DataGrid (I thought Infragistics libraries are bad, I take it back after this) for this project of mine. Looks like DataGrid doesnt have clean MVVM Friendly way of getting the list of selectedRows ? I can data bind to SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedSourceFile}" but this only shows the 1st selected row. Need to be able to get all selected rows. Any hints to do it cleanly via MVVM ?
