  • Custom SessionListener, name is not bound in this context, javax.naming.NameNotFoundException

    Hi, I am trying to implement HttpSessionListener so that users of this listener can register implementation of ISessionEvent interface to session Events.code is below: public class MySessionListener implements HttpSessionListener{ @Resource ISessionEvent sessionEvent; public ISessionEvent getSessionEvent() { return sessionEvent; } public void setSessionEvent(ISessionEvent sessionEvent) { this.sessionEvent = sessionEvent; } @Override public void sessionCreated(HttpSessionEvent arg0) { sessionEvent.SessionCreated(arg0.getSession()); } @Override public void sessionDestroyed(HttpSessionEvent arg0) { sessionEvent.SessionDestroyed(arg0.getSession()); } } When user implement ISessionEvent and add as a bean, SessionCreated and SessionDestroyed functions of implementation will be called when these events occured. You can ask why dont you just write inside listeners methods, i dont i'm just trying.   • .live event doesnt work till second click

    I have 2 list on a page that are linked. When I drag a li element from list 1 to list 2 the live events on list 1 don't work on the first click only second click.   • Remove unnecessary svn:mergeinfo properties

    When I merge stuff in my repository Subversion wants to add/change a lot of svn:mergeinfo properties to files that are totally unrelated to the things that I want to merge. Questions about this behaviour have been asked before here on Stackoverflow.com, as you can read here and here. From what I understand from the topics mentioned above it looks like a lot of files in my repository have explicit svn:mergeinfo properties on them, when they shouldn't. The advice is to reduce the amount and only put those properties on relevant files/folders. So now my question: how can I easily remove those unneeded properties? I'm using TortoiseSVN, but am reluctant to manually check/fix hundreds of files. Is there an easier way to remove those unnecessary svn:mergeinfo properties? P.S. I'm not looking for C++ SVN API code.

  • Cannot get admob working: configChanges error

    I know there are some topics about it, but the reason I start this one is I appear not to be able to solve it with solutions given. I want to add admob to my project. I downloaded GoogleAdMobAdsSdk-6.2.1 and added it to my project. When I startup it says You must have AdActivity declared in AndroidManifest with configChanges. So solution found, set it to: android:configChanges="keyboard|keyboardHidden|orientation|screenLayout|uiMode|screenSize|smallestScreenSize" and <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="15" /> Clean it, try again. But now I get an error saying following although my targetSdkVersion is set to be min 12, I really don't know why I am still getting this error: String types not allowed (at 'configChanges' with value 'keyboard|keyboardHidden|orientation| screenLayout|uiMode|screenSize|smallestScreenSize') Any ideas on this? There might be another setting wrong which I looked over?

    I'm trying to select a record with the most effective votes. Each record has an id, the number of upvotes (int) and the number of downvotes (int) in a MySQL database. I know basic update, select, insert queries but I'm unsure of how to form a query that looks something like: SELECT * FROM topics WHERE MAX(topic.upvotes - topic.downvotes). Please excuse my made up SQL. The tutorials on SQL I find on the internet cover very basic stuff. Does anyone recommend a good book on this subject?

    We have a new junior developer and I want him to start reading up on various topics in order to broaden his horizons. I am trying to group these into "areas" so that he can focus on getting a good general knowledge in on subject before moving on to another one. So far I have the following areas: Asp.net with C#, Webforms T-SQL CSS Can you provide good examples of reading material (preferably e-books so I can get them quicker) for him in each of those areas.     How can I add a event listener for SaveOrUpdateCopy in NHibernate ? I see that the ListenerType enumeration does not have a 'SaveOrUpdateCopy' type. I tried using the 'Merge' type, but that adds it to the MergeEventListeners collection. The SaveOrUpdateCopy invokes the events from the SaveOrUpdateCopyEventListeners collection. How can I add my event class to the SaveOrUpdateCopyEventListeners collection in NHibernate? Any help is appreciated.

  • Not receiving touchesEnded/Moved/Cancelled after adding subView

    Title more or less says it all. In response to a touchesBegan event, my UIViewController recolours itself and adds some subviews. It never receives the touchesEnded. I guess because the added subviews are somehow intercepting the event. I tried calling resignFirstResponder on the subviews to no avail. The code works fine when I don't add the child views and the touch events are called as normal. Any ideas? Thanks

  • mouse wheel operates on scrollbar

    If a SWF file or even a component within it has scrollbars, wouldn't it make sense that if the user is hovered over that area (it's in focus) and uses the mouse wheel, that this movement would automatically translate to the scrollbar moving. Any ideas how this is done, the events or classes used for this? I'm open to outside components or classes too. I haven't started yet, but I'll do an item renderer because it's easy to give it scrollbar.

  • App losing db connection

    I'm having a weird issue with an old Delphi app losing it's database connection. Actually, I think it's losing something else that then makes the connection either drop or be unusable. The app is written in Delphi 6 and uses the Direct Oracle Access component (v4.0.7.1) to connect to an Oracle 9i database. The app runs as a service and periodically queries the db using a TOracleQuery object (qryAlarmList). The method that is called to do this looks like this: procedure TdmMain.RefreshAlarmList; begin try qryAlarmList.Execute; except on E: Exception do begin FStatus := ssError; EventLog.LogError(-1, 'TdmMain.RefreshAlarmList', 'Message: ' + E.Message); end; end; end; It had been running fine for years, until a couple of Perl scripts were added to this machine. These scripts run every 15 minutes and look for datafiles to import into the db, and then they do a some calculations and a bunch of reads/writes to/from the db. For some reason, when they are processing large amounts of data, and then the Delphi app tries to query the db, the Delphi app throws an exception at the "qryAlarmList.Execute" line in the above code listing. The exception is always: Access violation at address 00000000. read of address 00000000 HOW can something that the Perl scripts are doing cause this?? There are other Perl scripts on this machine that load data using the same modules and method calls and we didn't have problems. To make it even weirder, there are two other apps that will also suddenly lose their ability to talk to the database at the same time as the Perl stuff is running. Neither of those apps run on this machine, but both are Delphi 6 apps that use the same DOA component to connect to the same database. We have other apps that connect to the same db, written in Java or C# and they don't seem to have any problems. I've tried adding code before the '.Execute' method is called to: check the session's connection (session.CheckConnection(true); always comes back as 'ccOK'). see whether I can access a field of the qryAlarmList object to see if maybe it's become null; can access it fine. check the state of the qryAlarmList; always says it's qsIdle. Does anyone have any suggestions of something to try? This is driving me nuts! Dave

    The following text is from the book I'm reading, 'MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-515) Web Applications Development with ASP.NET 4". It gives the rundown of the Application Life Cycle. A user first makes a request for a page in your site. The request is routed to the processing pipeline, which forwards it to the ASP.NET runtime. The ASP.NET runtime creates an instance of the ApplicationManager class; this class instance represents the .NET framework domain that will be used to execute requests for your application. An application domain isolates global variables from other applications and allows each application to load and unload separately, as required. After the application domain has been created, an instance of the HostingEnvironment class is created. This class provides access to items inside the hosting environment, such as directory folders. ASP.NET creates instances of the core objects that will be used to process the request. This includes HttpContext, HttpRequest, and HttpResponse objects. ASP.NET creates an instance of the HttpApplication class (or an instance is reused). This class is also the base class for a site’s Global.asax file. You can use this class to trap events that happen when your application starts or stops. When ASP.NET creates an instance of HttpApplication, it also creates the modules configured for the application, such as the SessionStateModule. Finally, ASP.NET processes request through the HttpApplication pipleline. This pipeline also includes a set of events for validating requests, mapping URLs, accessing the cache, and more. I thought that Application level classes "sat on top of" an AppDomain object, and the AppDomain contained information specific to that Session for that user. Could someone please explain how IIS manages Applicaiton level classes, and how an HttpApplication class sits under an AppDomain? Anything is appreciated.
