  • SBT run differences between scala and java?

    I'm trying to follow the log4j2 configuration tutorials in a SBT 0.12.1 project. ERROR LoggerTest Didn't do it. From what I can tell, ERROR StatusLogger Unable to ... is usually a sign that log4j-core is not on my classpath. The lack of TRACE messages seems to indicate that my log4j2.xml settings aren't on the classpath either. Why should there be any difference in classpath if I'm running Foo.main versus LoggerTest.main? Or is there something else causing this behavior? Update I used SBT Assembly to build a fat jar of this project and specified logtest.LoggerTest to be the main class. As i have read so far about C# they say ONLY local variable of value types (and short living ones) will go on stack. But here in the code there are no local variable to go on stack then what overflows it ? I know from assembly code line Perspective that reference to Main() will go on stack too ? Is that right ?

    I'm writing some simple point code while trying out Visual Studio 10 (Beta 2), and I've hit this code where I would expect SFINAE to kick in, but it seems not to: template<typename T> struct point { T x, y; point(T x, T y) : x(x), y(y) {} }; template<typename T, typename U> struct op_div { typedef decltype(T() / U()) type; }; template<typename T, typename U> point<typename op_div<T, U>::type> operator/(point<T> const& l, point<U> const& r) { return point<typename op_div<T, U>::type>(l.x / r.x, l.y / r.y); } template<typename T, typename U> point<typename op_div<T, U>::type> operator/(point<T> const& l, U const& r) { return point<typename op_div<T, U>::type>(l.x / r, l.y / r); } int main() { point<int>(0, 1) / point<float>(2, 3); } This gives error C2512: 'point<T>::point' : no appropriate default constructor available Given that it is a beta, I did a quick sanity check with the online comeau compiler, and it agrees with an identical error, so it seems this behavior is correct, but I can't see why. In this case some workarounds are to simply inline the decltype(T() / U()), to give the point class a default constructor, or to use decltype on the full result expression, but I got this error while trying to simplify an error I was getting with a version of op_div that did not require a default constructor*, so I would rather fix my understanding of C++ rather than to just do what works. Thanks! *: the original: template<typename T, typename U> struct op_div { static T t(); static U u(); typedef decltype(t() / u()) type; }; Which gives error C2784: 'point<op_div<T,U>::type> operator /(const point<T> &,const U &)' : could not deduce template argument for 'const point<T> &' from 'int', and also for the point<T> / point<U> overload.

    I am using Grails 2.1.0 and Twitter Bootstrap Plugin 2.1.1 and am encountering an issue with navbar-fixed-top. In order to get the Navbar fixed to the top of the page to behave correctly during resize, the Twitter Bootstrap Docs states: Add .navbar-fixed-top and remember to account for the hidden area underneath it by adding at least 40px padding to the . Be sure to add this after the core Bootstrap CSS and before the optional responsive CSS. How can I do this when using the Grails Plugin for Twitter Bootstrap? Here is what I have tried: main.gsp <head> ... <r:require modules="bootstrap-css"/> <style type="text/css"> body { padding-top: 60px; padding-bottom: 40px; } .sidebar-nav { padding: 9px 0; } </style> <r:require modules="bootstrap-responsive-css"/> <r:layoutResources/> </head> The problem is that Grails Plugin for Twitter Bootstrap takes the content of bootstrap.css and bootstrap-responsive.css and combines them into the following merged file: static/bundle-bundle_bootstrap_head.css. Thus, I am not able to put the body padding style "after core Bootstrap CSS and before Responsive CSS" as per Twitter Bootstrap docs.   • NO FBML is working in iframe in facebook using PHP (ie or ff or anywhere else!)

    I have tried for three days now and gotten nowhere on this.... I absolutely can not get any "fb:" code to render anything! I've tried the exact code in the sandbox and it works fine. I've read through every search result I could find and gotten nowhere...   • Is it allowed to load Swing classes in non-EDT thread?

    After the introduction of Java Memory Model, the Swing guidelines were changed to state that any Swing components need to be instantiated on the EDT in order to avoid non-published instance state. What I could not find anywhere is whether the classloading is also mandated to be on the EDT or can we pre-load key Swing classes in a background thread? Is there any official statement from Sun/Oracle on this? Are there any classes that are known to hold non-threadsafe static state, hence need to be loaded on EDT?
