    I have a tablelayoutpanel. 2x2 - 2 columns 2 rows. For example, I added a button button1 in a 1 row, second column. button1 has a dock property set to Fill. VS Designer allows to set column/row span properties of button1. I want an availability to change row span property of button1 programatically, so it can fill all second column(1 row and second row) and availability to set it back. How ?

  • How do you make a wrapped div fill the window horizontally?

    I have a div which is contained by another 960px-wide centered div. I'm adding a background to the inner div which should expand all the way to the window's edges horizontally, essentially escaping the boundaries of its container. If I apply a large negative margin and equal amount of padding, this works on the left side, but the right side causes a scroll bar to appear. Does anyone know how I can achieve this without causing scroll bars?

Currently, checkboxes are processed as an array and values are separated by a ";" As such: <input type="checkbox" name="frequency[]" value="Daily"/> Daily <input type="checkbox" name="frequency[]" value="Weekly"/> Weekly <input type="checkbox" name="frequency[]" value="Monthly"/> Monthly The PHP backend runs implode(';', $frequency) and adds the string to the database. This works fine but it's a nightmare when it comes to searching. Is there a better way to approach this?

    I have an a business app and I want to give my users the ability to export their data at anytime. I'm aware that I can write an XML file semi-manually by doing something like this: http://www.kirupa.com/web/mysql_xml_php.htm But, I thought I'd ask if this is the best practice? Or is there some framework I can use to do this more easily/quickly? Maybe there isn't - it won't be too hard to do it the above way.     I want to do some funky things with controlling MIDI streams, and I'd like to be able to pipe MIDI input into an application like Ableton or Reason. Presumably this involves some sort of driver level work? Ultimately I'd like to write my application in Python, so if there is some Python-based solution, I'd consider it. I'm perfectly fine with using C/C++, though, so that's not a problem.

  • Set the amount of rows JList show (Java)

    Hi all. Problem: I have a method that creates a list from the parsed ArrayList. I manage to show the list in the GUI, without scrollbar. However, I am having problem setting it to show only the size of ArrayList. Meaning, say if the size is 6, there should only be 6 rows in the shown List. Below is the code that I am using. I tried setting the visibleRowCount as below but it does not work.     I have been trying to make a block of code that finds the index of the largest bid for each item. Then I was going to use the index as a way to identify the person who paid that much moneys name. However no matter what i try I can't link the person and what they have gained from the auction together.     I've always used cURL for this sort of stuff, but this article got me thinking I could request another page easily using the Request object in Kohana 3. $url = 'http://www.example.com'; $update = Request::factory($url); $update->method = 'POST'; $update->post = array( 'key' => 'value' ); $update->execute(); echo $update->response; However I get the error Accessing static property Request::$method as non static From this I can assume it means that the method method is static, but that doesn't help me much. I also copied and pasted the example from that article and it threw the same error. Basically, I'm trying to POST to a new page on an external server, and do it the Kohana way. So, am I doing this correctly, or should I just use cURL (or file_get_contents() with context)?

    I'm trying to LEFT JOIN two tables, to get a list of all rows from TABLE_1 and ONE related row from TABLE_2. I have tried LEFT JOIN and GROUP BY c_id, however I wan't the related row from TABLE_2 to be sorted by isHeadOffice DESC.     Having this command: $command = "diff -bBdH --ignore-all-space <(echo 'hi') <(echo 'hi1')"; echo $command; $result = shell_exec($command); On the screen I see: sh: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected diff -bBdH --ignore-all-space <(echo 'hi') <(echo 'hi1') If I copy-paste the second line from the console output into the terminal, the result would be correct. (Reproduced on another machine too). I'm missing something dead simple here and can't see what it is. besides, why is my output reversed? I'm clearly echoing the command before executing it, thus the syntax error of the shell should appear after the shell_exec

    I need to post to a payment gateway. The example PHP script for the gateway simply sets the XML like this curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $xmlRequest); // $xmlRequest is just a string of XML In all of my experience, generally you need to use an array with key/values or a string similar to GET params. I am using Kohana, and tracked down a cURL module. It accepts the POST key/values as an array only. Now, I could ditch the module and throw some cURL straight in, but I am using this module fine all throughout the site, so would prefer to use it here. So, my question is, how does that first one work? Does it just POST the whole thing without any named key? Is there a default key I could use for an array to get the module to work?
