• How do I get a D-Link DWL-G520 working?

  I have Ubuntu 12.04 on an older desktop PC, and I am finding it much harder to connect to a wifi connection than it should be. I have an iPhone with which I want to tether to it with Mifi 4.0, but I need to install ipheth which I can't do without internet on that computer. I am typing from my other windows pc with which i can download and move hings with thumb drives, but haven't gotten keryx to work. I also found a D-Link DWL-G520 HIGH SPEED 2.4GHZ (802.11G) WIRELESS 108MBPS PCI ADAPTER which I installed, but can't find a driver to put on a flashdrive to use it. If anybody has any ideas, they are appreciated. I am a noob, and I don't want to have to move the comp. downstairs to plug into the modem. PS: I also have a netgear USB network adapter, which doesn't work with my Ubuntu.

  First ,, i have just learnt c , c++ and started with java .. i faced serious problem in the first two ones . any sort of problem i can handle with it on my mind ,, if it's much complex i use the pen and paper method , i nearly could solve any easy problem ,, but when i start to write the code i don't know what's happening i got totally lost and even the best problems i can't link the solution with the code . it's not a problem with syntax because i know the syntax well . i need to figure what's the problem and find a way to solve it !! thanks . • Bridging 10GbE with 12.04 - bridging works but the bridging computer has no internet access

  I have been trying to get 12.04 bridging working with two 10GbE cards. I have 2 10GbE cards in a linux box being used only for this bridge, 1 with 2 10GbaseT ports and another with a single CX4 port. I have 2 client computers connected with 10GbaseT cards and the CX4 card connects to a procurve switch. I can get the bridging happening mostly the way that I want, The clients receive dhcp information from the dhcp server (not the bridging machine) and can connect to and properly see the rest of the network. Speeds are ok, not amazing but working on that is another matter. My problem is that the bridging machine has no internet access ... meaning I can't update anything or apt-get anything It can ping all other machines on the local network. I've tried the helpful hints from: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NetworkConnectionBridge "Enabling Internet Use on the Bridging Computer" and get the following RTNETLINK answers: File exists but dhclient br0 does nothing for me :( I think if it is anything it a multiple route problem as both br0 and eth4 have ipaddresses ... even though I have only set it up so that br0 has one ...   I'm writing a music reference app and for each album (pulled from last.fm) would like to link to the ITMS (if the album is in the store). iTunes link maker web tool http://apple.com/itunes/linkmaker/ is great for getting links for a known album but I need to access it programatically from within my app. This NSLog blogpost which is from 2003 but was referenced more recently in another question here seems to offer the only solution I've come across so far, suggesting to submit a query to: phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSearch.woa/wa/advancedSearchResults? Put "itms://" before it and the link will work in iTunes, put "http://" before it and the link will work in Camino (Safari sometimes spits back a malformed XML error). The tags that are of importance are as follows: songTerm - song title artistTerm - artist name albumTerm - album name composerTerm - composer name term - all fields The suggestion is that would using http:// rather than itms:// the server will return an XML document of results instead of opening iTunes but either way I am sent directly to iTunes. Is it possible to get back a list of results?

  I'm building a java web media-scraping application for extracting content from a variety of popular websites: youtube, facebook, rapidshare, and so on. The application will include a search capability to find content urls, but should also allow the user to paste a url into the application if they already where the media is. Youtube Downloader already does this for a variety of video sites. When the program is supplied with a URL, it decides which kind of scraper to use to get the content; for example, a youtube watch link returns a YoutubeScraper, a Facebook fanpage link returns a FacebookScraper and so on. Should I use the factory pattern to do this? My idea is that the factory has one public method. It takes a String argument representing a link, and returns a suitable implementation of the Scraper interface. I guess the Factory would hold a list of Scraper implementations, and would match the link against each Scraper until it finds a suitable one. If there is no suitable one, it throws an Exception instead.

My site has hCards - is it worth trimming the link tag out of the pages that don't have them? <link rel="profile" href="http://microformats.org/profile/hcard"> Does this mean this page has an hCard or look for an hCard on this page? Does it mean interpret an hCard as specified, if found? Obviously, you can pull in stylesheets using <link> but they apply to the page. I don't even see anything at that destination other than some sub-par hCard documentation.

I&amp;#39;ve been doing this for 2 years, but I want to take it to the next level (with the long term goal being that I become proficient enough to call myself a developer). Should I start incorporating some PHP and Jquery into my learning? Side projects on my spare time? Any good online resources? • Why "Reader" link doesn't show in Gmail in chrome?

  I use both chrome and firefox at the same time. As I always open Gmail first and then use the Reader link in upper left conner of Gmail to open Google Reader, I noticed that chomre hides the Google Reader Link. I can't find it anywhere in Gmail. Why doesn't chrome behave differently?
