  How can you change application colors on the fly? I am currently using the following to change the background: LinearLayout mScreen = (LinearLayout) findViewById(R.id.main); mScreen.setBackgroundColor( mycolor ); I tried to use Style's to change the text using: @color/white The problem is that Spinners/Buttons and Spinner-Popup-Lists all change to white text as well, making them unreadable. I have over 20 Classes in my app that all need to be able to change color combination's.

  Please, have a look at: http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/base-css.html There are many examples like this one: if you look closer to the block borders, you can see that the gray block is under the white one. Using the browser's developer tools you can see that both boxes have an inherited z-index: auto; I can't reproduce this effect on my website (without using z-index). So, my question is: Why is the gray block under the white one?

  this is the first time for me here, so I hope I'm doing this right :) My question is the following: how do I draw the sprite from an image on the canvas, so that I don't get the entire (squared) image to show, but only the parts of the image I want (= the sprite). For example, I have an image of a robot on a white background and I only want to see the robot, and not the white background. I hope someone here can help me with this problem, because it's giving me headaches of not knowing how to do it :P

The adjustments take place only at the bottom and right side.   Visual Studio 2010 highlights all references to the same variable (or class) when your cursor is placed over it. with the theme I use highlighted references are white on white - making them virtually impossible to read. what is the name of "display item" in Options- Environment Fonts and Colors that is responsible for that color? changing Plain Text to a darker one partially solves an issue however that also changes color for lots of other stuff on a screen, so ideally would be to change a background for this type of "selection"..

  I'm toying around with a very simplistic sort of process-monitor. Currently, it gets a list of the running processes and attempts to kill any process that is not white-listed. What I'm looking for is a way to prevent a process from starting that isn't on the white-list. If that's possible. I'm now down to 3 updates, of which I am getting the error: "KB2522890 does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your computer." I have already disabled my antivirus and Windows Defender. It also happens to the other updates: VS10SP1-KB2529927-v2-x86 VS10SP1-KB2548139-x86 VS10SP1-KB2549864-x86 It is possible that Microsoft Update is right that they do not apply, as I only installed VS 2010 C# and Web development. Why is it recommending that I install them then?
