  • Redirecting port 80 requests to local web server with IPFW

    I'm setting up a freebsd router and want certain IPs on my network to be forwarded to our local webserver if they make port 80 requests. An example would be - banned user tries to surf the web, but all his requests are forwarded to the web page which notifies him that he is banned. As I understand I can use IPFW for this and maybe NATD. I would be grateful if someone could show me a good example on how to do it.

  • Forcing authentication for local domains

    Today I mentioned strange issue on my ispconfig 3 installation. After some debugging it was clear that anyone can send emails to local domains without authentication. I checked main.cf and sow that smtp_senders_restriction pointing to mail_access table in ispconfig database. The issue is that table is empty and I'm not sure how to add record there through ispconfig interface. Any thoughts?? Thanks in advance.

  • Adobe Reader not loading form content

    We have an FDL file which is used to offer an online application possibility. The FDL is filled out and sent to a mailbox. When I open the received file, Adobe Reader starts, loads the document in Internet Explorer (had to change my default browser because it doesn't work in chrome - the customer uses IE as default) and displays a warning that Adobe Reader has blocked the connection to the server where the initial document is saved: I can then click on "Trust this document once" (translated by me!) or "Add this host to trusted hosts" (also translated by me!). The second option doesn't work at all. The first option works but is a little bit annoying. I looked into Adobe Readers options (Edit - "Voreinstellungen" in german / the last option - Security (advanced)) and found the possibility to add hosts, files and directories or allow Adobe Reader to use the "Trusted Websites" list from Internetoptions. When I add the website either to Trusted Websites or the trusted list in Adobe Readers options, the warning doesn't pop up but the content in the prefilled (by the applicant) input boxes of the document doesn't show up on Windows 7 but it does show up on Windows XP. This Screenshot shows the settings window described in the last paragraph. The big input box at the bottom normally holds the trusted files/directories/hosts list. System Information: Windows 7 Enterprise x64 Adobe Reader X multiple IE versions (mine is latest but there's also IE 7 or 8) How do I get Adobe Reader to load the content of the form? This behaviour can be reproduced on a PC. When opening an fdf from a command line the form fields are blank even though there is data in the fdf and the pdf is located in a mnaully entered trsuted folder. Steps to reproduce: Clean install a Windows 7 PC (or use a virtual box) Map a network drive to a shared folder with a subfolder e.g. c:\test\docs becomes m:\docs Set security permissions to allow full control to everyone Add an fdf and a matching pdf file in the subfolder Manually add m:\docs to each of the trusted folders in the trust manager registry settings Ensure that Enhanced Security is on Run a command line to open the fdf file Expected result: pdf is opened in Adobe Reader with form fields filled out with data Actual results: pdf is opened with blank fields 'Yellow bar' appears asking to add document to trusted locations It appears that Adobe Reader XI is ignoring the privileged locations entries in the registry. Adding the document via the 'yellow bar' adds the individual document, with the same folder, to the privileged locations but means that the process has to be repeated for every document that needs to be opened from the folder.

  • Accessing local resources over wifi with a BES-connected Blackberry

    I'm trying to get to a local web site on my LAN at 192.168.1.10 with my Blackberry, but I'm getting a message saying the server did not respond. I know that some, if not all, internet traffic on a BES-connected blackberry goes through the BES. This is clear because I can access internal resources on my employers network via the mobile network. Is there any way for me to specify that the device should attempt to route directly over wifi before it tries to connect via the BES server at work?

  • Robocopy with local catalog of remote data for incremental backup

    I am currently using robocopy to an extremely slow destination. The compare between source and destination files can take a while to run through. Since the destination will never change (apart from the robocopy changes), is there any program that will work similarly to robocopy, but have a local list of what files (attributes and timestamps) the destination has, to compare with? I know there are expensive solutions which may do this, but I'm looking for something free if possible. Hopefully this makes sense.

  • Windows XP Computer Management - Local Users and Groups error

    Hi all, I opened Computer Management and happened to see that "Local Users and Groups" (under System Tools) had a red X over top of it. After clicking the link, it shows a message saying "Unable to access the computer EMACHINES-PC. The error was: Library not registered." What could have caused this, and how can I fix it?   • YSlow always tells me my content is not served from a CDN

    YSlow always tells me my content is not served from a CDN no matter what value(s) I put in about:config extensions.yslow.cdnHostnames. I've tried entering my.cdn.com, http://my.cdn.com/folder1/a/b/, http://my.cdn.com basically every variation I could think of and no matter what values I configure it never acknowledges it's hosted on a CDN. Is this just a giant bug in YSlow or is there some kind of specified format that's not explained anywhere that it wants?

  • Sourcing local .bashrc .vimrc without copy to remote machine

    Does anyone have an idea or hack on how to source my local dotfiles (I will probably need more of them so this solution should work with many files) on remote machines without scp them to remote machine? Is something like scp .bashrc to /tmp folder on remote machine and then exporting BASHRC env variable the best solution? I need this because of our company policy and fast cloud servers deployment and redeployment and I don't want to touch .bashrc files on remote machine so my colleges are able to use their default env which doesn't suit me.

    I just rolled out a new domain controller. I want to join all the PCS to this new domein (the PCs were never on a domain just a regular workgroup). When I join a PC to the new domain it creates a new profile. How can I migrate (or whats an easy way) the local profile to this new domain profile? Can I keep all settings, desktop layout, outlook 2003 settings etc while doing this?

    I am trying to use wget and http to download all contents from folderAA below to directory /root/sstest wget -r --directory-prefix="/root/sstest" -o /root/sstest2.log http://site.com/folder1/folder2/folderAA/ When I submit the above command nothing is downloaded. If I submit a wget request for a specific file from folderAA the file is actually downloaded to /root/sstest: wget -r --directory-prefix="/root/sstest" -o /root/sstest2.log http://site.com/folder1/folder2/folderAA/file.txt Can someone tell me why I cannot download all file content from folderAA at once using the first wget request?

  • google.com re-directing to local html copy

    When I type http://google.com and press ENTER on any of my browsers ( Mozilla, Chrome ), the URL bar suddenly transforms into this file:///C:/Users/Administrator/AppData/Roaming/Google_Toolbar/Google_Toolbar/1.0.0.0/MyGoogle.html After this too, I can continue to search in google but the URL bar still shows the local address. Surprisingly this is happening only for google.com and not other sites.

  • Local Apache Web server works only when connected to the net

    Hello, I installed Ubunut and got the LAMP stack installed too. Now the problem is I have to be connected to the internet for the local apache webserver to work, else it does not. I changed the IP address on the dnshost, in the apache2.conf file, got the servername in the httpd.conf, which was empty. Any ideas guys. Thanks Jean

Currently we have just pointed it to a file location instead of using a Data Streaming Server.     How do I keep my local directory in sync with my remote FTPS directory? Note that I've tried WinSCP, but found that it only works a few times then I need to restart it to get it going again. Also I've tried all the utilities mentioned here but only a few supported the connection requirements (explicit SSL over FTP), and those that did didn't have "realtime" directory sync. Also note that a curl, rsync or wput command which I can put into "scheduled tasks" will suffice, if it can do directory sync.

I am having really hard time with that, I try to give it full rights to some folders (user profiles) but I can't even modify the NTFS permissions in some cases, I get "permission denied" Is there some soft of tutorial or script that will just give the administrator full rights on all folders in the C driver? Universal Time is now: Mon Jul 9 20:00:57 UTC 2012. In the /etc/default/rcS file i have : UTC=no Unfortunately this is not working, In the system information of jenkins: user.timezone Etc/UTC I searched for a few hour.. unfortunately could not find a fix any help would be greatly appreciated.     We have a local network (A) of about 50 computers connected via gigabit ethernet. We get a connection to the internet using two broadband connections to a backbone and distribute the bandwidth across the 50 computers using a CISCO 1811 router, but the bandwidth is not enough for everybody. There is a campus wide wireless network(B) that has very high bandwidth, is there a device or way to setup multiple individual connections to network B and supply the bandwidth to our network A?
