  • Inserting an element within jQuery Validation plugin's error template

    I'm utilizing the jQuery Validation plugin for my form. It lets you change the errorElement and wrap the errorElement using with the wrapper option. But, I want to insert an element within errorElement like this: <label class="error"><em></em>Error message goes here</label> Is there an easy way to accomplish inserting the em tag? I've tried prepending the em tag using the errorPlacement option (see below), but it seems the plugin is replacing the contents of errorElement afterwards. $.validator.setDefaults({ errorPlacement: function(error, element) { error.prepend('<em/>'); error.insertBefore(element); } }); I've also tried prepending the em tag using the showErrors option (see below). Again, it seems the plugin is replacing the contents of errorElement afterwards. $.validator.setDefaults({ showErrors: function(errorMap, errorList) { for (var i = 0; i < errorList.length; i++) { var error = errorList[i], $label = this.errorsFor(error.element), $element = $(error.element); if ($label.length && $label.find('em').length == 0) { $label.prepend('<em/>'); } } this.defaultShowErrors(); } }); I've also tried modifying the plugin so that when the error element is generated, the <em> tag is prepended. That works until I focus on a form element that has an error, after which the em tag is removed. (It's doing this because jQuery validation is constantly updating the contents of the error element as I focus and/or type in the field, therefore erasing my em tag added at error-element creation.)

  • Missing Project Template after installing ASP.NET MVC 2

    Hi, I have downloaded the ASP.NET MVC 2 Release version (using Web Platform Installer) as well as the downloading the file directly from the link in WPI. No error messages are reported after the install. When I go into Visual Web Developer and select Create New project I only the project reference to ASP.NET MVC version 1.0 and not version 2 (for clarity I have all the other project types, this is just in reference to the MVC projects). I have restarted, uninstalled and restarted and installed my PC multiple times and it still won't play. When clicking add a reference I can see the MVC.dll version 2.0.0.0 and add that no problem, but cannot manually upgrade the project since the ProjectTypeGuid used is not recognized. For reference I am using Visual Web Developer 2008 on Windows XP. ASP.NET MVC version 1.0 is working fine and without issue. Hope someone else can help. DNH

Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file." What I would like to do is Open a excel file that is the XLTemplatePath and the either rename or save the file at the XLSaveReportPath and then use that renamed/saved file to fill the report out. I am using Visual Studio 2008 in VB.NET

But when i try to display it in my webpage, some styles that are defined in my css are adding into it and the template is not displayed properly. This template is used to create mails and when i send this template as mail to my gmail account it is displayed correctly. How its done in gmail? How they show the template using inline styles only?

    I have a template that shows a filter form and below it a list of the result records. I bind the form to the request so that the filter form sets itself to the options the user submitted when the results are returned. I also use pagination. Using the code in the pagination documentation means that when the user clicks for the next page, the form data is lost. What is the best way of dealing with pagination and filtering in this way? Passing the querystring to the paginiation links. Change the pagination links to form buttons and therefore submit the filter form at the same time, but this assumes that the user hasn't messed about with the filter options. As above but with the original data as hidden fields. ALJ

In Netbeans 6.8., I go to Tools Templates Java Java Class, and modify the template. However, nothing seems to change. I tried restarting Netbeans, just in case, but the old template is still used. How do I get Netbeans to recognize changes to the template for Java Classes?

    I have a table where I keep all my templates: templates template_id template_name template_price These templates can be purchased by a registered user and then are inserted in the payments table: payments payment_id template_id user_id Is there a way to join these two tables and get not just a list of templates that have been purchased by a certain user, but all the templates? And then figure out from there which ones have already been purchased? I used this SELECT, but only the ones that the user bought showed up. I would like to have all the rows from templates, but empty in case the user_id doesn't match.   • Forcing a templated object to construct from a pointer

    I have a fictional class: template<typename T> class demonstration { public: demonstration(){} ... T *m_data; } At some point in the program's execution, I want to set m_data to a big block of allocated memory and construct an object T there. At the moment, I've been using this code: void construct() { *m_data = T(); } Which I've now realised is probably not the best idea... wont work under certain cirumstances, if T has a private assignment operator for example. Is there a normal/better way to do what I'm attempting here?

My condition is simple: if a smarty value starts with a string I should display one section, otherwise the other smarty section should be displayed.     Is it possible to migrate Profiler templates to newer versions of SQL Server? In my case I want to take my SQL 2008 templates to 2012. I've tried (1) a straight file copy and (2) an export/import. In both cases the older templates run, but cannot be modified. Modifications result in the following error: I've got a bunch of custom templates and I'm trying to avoid recreating them by hand. Although, I guess that is the fallback position. Thoughts?

    I'm trying to create a templated silverlight control that has a simple animation (swap a few color properties). An example would be a control that is similar to the 'questions' menu item in stackoverflow. So the consumer of the control can specify the background color and the background color for the mouseover event. I've run into the issue that I can't use template binding for a storyboard animation (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1336689/is-it-possible-to-use-templatebinding-in-a-storyboard-in-silverlight).   • Front-end phtml template form doesn't connect to controller.php file

    The web system which I'm working on right now, has a add.phtml (in views folder) form, which contain normal form elements and pageController.php (in Controller folder) file which has function to be connected when user hit "add page" button on the form. The codes goes like this. on add.phtml file, input type = "submit" value ="Add Page" on pageController.php file, function insertAction(){ } For some reason these two doesn't connect now.   • Updates to Wordpress theme template/stylesheet are not reflected when a file is edited

    I am developing a theme in Wordpress. I have an issue where updates to my stylesheet (style.css) are not being reflected in the browser after FTPing a new version of the file to the server. Edits will only show up in the browser after waiting a long time, (15+ minutes). I have tried all the things mentioned here, which have not worked. These include: Making sure no caching plugins are installed in Wordpress Clearing the browser cache Trying from a different browser Making sure I am editing and accessing the correct file Checking webhost configuration panel for a caching plugin Something seems to be caching the stylesheet but I'm not sure how this might be so.
