  • How to change a label's text after loading a html into a dialog

    - by Salsa
    I am opening a modal dialog by loading a form into it. After loading the form, I want to change it's title and one of it's fields' label. I can change the label's text, but after the function returns, the label's text turns back to it's original one. Is it possible to make this kind of change and if so, how? The HTML: <form action="testing.php" method="POST" id="example-form"> <fieldset> <label for="link" id="link-label"></label> </fieldset> </form> The javascript: $(".bt-example").button().click(function() { $('#example-dialog').load('form.html').dialog('open'); $('.ui-dialog-titlebar').text("THIS WORKS!"); $('#example-form #link-label').text("CHANGES AT FIRST, BUT GOES BLANK LATER"); $('#example-dialog').removeClass('invisible'); });

  • How do I classify using GLCM and SVM Classifier in Matlab?

    - by Gomathi
    I'm on a project of liver tumor segmentation and classification. I used Region Growing and FCM for liver and tumor segmentation respectively. Then, I used Gray Level Co-occurence matrix for texture feature extraction. I have to use Support Vector Machine for Classification. But I don't know how to normalize the feature vectors. Can anyone tell how to program it in Matlab? To the GLCM program, I gave the tumor segmented image as input. Was I correct? If so, I think, then, my output will also be correct. My glcm coding, as far as I have tried is, I = imread('fzliver3.jpg'); GLCM = graycomatrix(I,'Offset',[2 0;0 2]); stats = graycoprops(GLCM,'all') t1= struct2array(stats) I2 = imread('fzliver4.jpg'); GLCM2 = graycomatrix(I2,'Offset',[2 0;0 2]); stats2 = graycoprops(GLCM2,'all') t2= struct2array(stats2) I3 = imread('fzliver5.jpg'); GLCM3 = graycomatrix(I3,'Offset',[2 0;0 2]); stats3 = graycoprops(GLCM3,'all') t3= struct2array(stats3) t=[t1;t2;t3] xmin = min(t); xmax = max(t); scale = xmax-xmin; tf=(x-xmin)/scale Was this a correct implementation? Also, I get an error at the last line. My output is: stats = Contrast: [0.0510 0.0503] Correlation: [0.9513 0.9519] Energy: [0.8988 0.8988] Homogeneity: [0.9930 0.9935] t1 = Columns 1 through 6 0.0510 0.0503 0.9513 0.9519 0.8988 0.8988 Columns 7 through 8 0.9930 0.9935 stats2 = Contrast: [0.0345 0.0339] Correlation: [0.8223 0.8255] Energy: [0.9616 0.9617] Homogeneity: [0.9957 0.9957] t2 = Columns 1 through 6 0.0345 0.0339 0.8223 0.8255 0.9616 0.9617 Columns 7 through 8 0.9957 0.9957 stats3 = Contrast: [0.0230 0.0246] Correlation: [0.7450 0.7270] Energy: [0.9815 0.9813] Homogeneity: [0.9971 0.9970] t3 = Columns 1 through 6 0.0230 0.0246 0.7450 0.7270 0.9815 0.9813 Columns 7 through 8 0.9971 0.9970 t = Columns 1 through 6 0.0510 0.0503 0.9513 0.9519 0.8988 0.8988 0.0345 0.0339 0.8223 0.8255 0.9616 0.9617 0.0230 0.0246 0.7450 0.7270 0.9815 0.9813 Columns 7 through 8 0.9930 0.9935 0.9957 0.9957 0.9971 0.9970 ???   • "initialization error: class file has wrong version" message in JDeveloper 10.1.2.x

    - by [email protected]
    The "initialization error: class file has wrong version" has become a somewhat recurrent error message thrown by JDeveloper 10.1.2.x as newer JDKs have been released in the last years. Note that JDeveloper 10.1.2 was developed to run with JDK 1.4.2. The reasons for this error message to be thrown include: A JDK version higher than 1.4.2 is being used and some unexpected incompatibility conflicts can occur because of that Some of the libraries used on the workspace and/or project were compiled with newer JDK version So, it is strongly recommended to use newer JDeveloper versions (10.1.3 - 11g) for newer JDKs. JDeveloper 10.1.2 will be desupported in December 2010 (or later depending on the support contract). Further information about this can be seen at http://www.oracle.com/support/library/brochure/lifetime-support-middleware.pdf

  • A really simple ViewModel base class with strongly-typed INotifyPropertyChanged

    - by Daniel Cazzulino
    I have already written about other alternative ways of implementing INotifyPropertyChanged, as well as augment your view models with a bit of automatic code generation for the same purpose. But for some co-workers, either one seemed a bit too much :o). So, back on the drawing board, we came up with the following view model authoring experience:public class MyViewModel : ViewModel, IExplicitInterface { private int value; public int Value { get { return value; } set { this.value = value; RaiseChanged(() =&gt; this.Value); } } double IExplicitInterface.DoubleValue { get { return value; } set { this.value = (int)value; RaiseChanged(() =&gt; ((IExplicitInterface)this).DoubleValue); } } } ...Read full article

  • Should I use a Class or Dictionary to Store Form Values

    - by Shamim Hafiz
    I am working on a C# .NET Application, where I have a Form with lots of controls. I need to perform computations depending on the values of the controls. Therefore, I need to pass the Form values to a function and inside that function, several helper functions will be called depending on the Control element. Now, I can think of two ways to pass all the Form values: i) Save everything in a Dictionary and pass the Dictionary to the function or ii) Have a class with attributes that corresponds to each of the Form element. Which of these two approaches , or any other, is better?

  • Loading dependencies for custom puppet functions

    - by Ben Smith
    I have written a custom puppet function, which is working fine, that depends on the cloudservers gem (a Rackspace client library). This is fine if I have pre-installed the gem on a server before running puppet but totally breaks if I have not installed the gem as the function seems to be run during the 'compilation' sweep, well before my package definition is realised. Here's what my .pp looks like, with get_hosts the function that requires the cloudservers gem. package { "rubygems": ensure => installed, provider => "gem"; } package { "cloudservers": ensure => installed, provider => "gem", require => Package["rubygems"]; } class hosts::us { $hosts = get_hosts("us") hostentry { $hosts: } } define hostentry() { $parts = split($name, ',') $address = $parts[0] $ip = $parts[1] $aliases = $parts[2] host{ $address: ip => $ip, host_aliases => $aliases } } Is there a way to stop the function getting run so early, or at least having it's run depend up the library being installed. Alternatively, is there a way that I can add dependencies somewhere in the functions folder that will be available to the function?

  • Help to understand the abstract factory pattern

    - by Chobeat
    I'm learning the 23 design patterns of the GoF. I think I've found a way to understand and simplify how the Abstract Factory works but I would like to know if this is a correct assumption or if I am wrong. What I want to know is if we can see the result of the Abstract Factory method as a matrix of possible products where there's a Product for every "Concrete Factory" x "AbstractProduct" where the Concrete Factory is a single implementation among the implementations of an AbstractFactory and an AbstractProduct is an interface among the interfaces to create Products. Is this correct or am I missing something?

  • Puppet : How to override / redefine outside child class (usecase and example detailled)

    - by alex8657
    The use case i try to illustrate is when to declare some item (eq mysqld service) with a default configuration that could be included on every node (class stripdown in the example, for basenode), and still be able to override this same item in some specific class (eg mysql::server), to be included by specific nodes (eg myserver.local) I illustrated this use case with the example below, where i want to disable mysql service on all nodes, but activate it on a specific node. But of course, Puppet parsing fails because the Service[mysql] is included twice. And of course, class mysql::server bears no relation to be a child of class stripdown Is there a way to override the Service["mysql"], or mark it as the main one, or whatever ? I was thinking about the virtual items and the realize function, but it only permits apply an item multiple times, not to redefine or override. # In stripdown.pp : class stripdown { service {"mysql": enable => "false", ensure => "stopped" } } # In mysql.pp : class mysql::server { service { mysqld: enable => true, ensure => running, hasrestart => true, hasstatus => true, path => "/etc/init.d/mysql", require => Package["mysql-server"], } } # Then nodes in nodes.pp : node basenode { include stripdown } node myserver.local inherits basenode { include mysql::server` # BOOM, fails here because of Service["mysql"] redefinition }

  • A sample Memento pattern: Is it correct?

    - by TheSilverBullet
    Following this query on memento pattern, I have tried to put my understanding to test. Memento pattern stands for three things: Saving state of the "memento" object for its successful retrieval Saving carefully each valid "state" of the memento Encapsulating the saved states from the change inducer so that each state remains unaltered Have I achieved these three with my design? Problem This is a zero player game where the program is initialized with a particular set up of chess pawns - the knight and queen. Then program then needs to keep adding set of pawns or knights and queens so that each pawn is "safe" for the next one move of every other pawn. The condition is that either both pawns should be placed, or none of them should be placed. The chessboard with the most number of non conflicting knights and queens should be returned. Implementation I have 4 classes for this: protected ChessBoard (the Memento) private int [][] ChessBoard; public void ChessBoard(); protected void SetChessBoard(); protected void GetChessBoard(int); public Pawn This is not related to memento. It holds info about the pawns public enum PawnType: int { Empty = 0, Queen = 1, Knight = 2, } //This returns a value that shown if the pawn can be placed safely public bool IsSafeToAddPawn(PawnType); public CareTaker This corresponds to caretaker of memento This is a double dimentional integer array that keeps a track of all states. The reason for having 2D array is to keep track of how many states are stored and which state is currently active. An example: 0 -2 1 -1 2 0 - This is current state. With second index 0/ 3 1 - This state has been saved, but has been undone private int [][]State; private ChessBoard [] MChessBoard; //This gets the chessboard at the position requested and assigns it to originator public ChessBoard GetChessBoard(int); //This overwrites the chessboard at given position public void SetChessBoard(ChessBoard, int); private int [][]State; public PlayGame (This is the originator) private bool status; private ChessBoard oChessBoard; //This sets the state of chessboard at position specified public SetChessBoard(ChessBoard, int); //This gets the state of chessboard at position specified public ChessBoard GetChessBoard(int); //This function tries to place both the pawns and returns the status of this attempt public bool PlacePawns(Pawn);

  • Comparing the Performance of Visual Studio&apos;s Web Reference to a Custom Class

    As developers, we all make assumptions when programming. Perhaps the biggest assumption we make is that those libraries and tools that ship with the .NET Framework are the best way to accomplish a given task. For example, most developers assume that using <a href="http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/120705-1.aspx">ASP.NET's Membership system</a> is the best way to manage user accounts in a website (rather than rolling your own user account store). Similarly, creating a Web Reference to communicate with a <a href="http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/100803-1.aspx">web service</a> generates markup that auto-creates a <i>proxy class</i>, which handles the low-level details of invoking the web service, serializing parameters,

  • Servlet : Usage of Constants.java class vs context param

    - by Pongsakorn Semsuwan
    I'm just wondering whether to keep some of my variables in Constants class or keep it in web.xml Say, I want to keep a variable of Facebook graph API prefix or api_key, client_id From my understand, the difference between Constants.java and web.xml is web.xml is easier to rewrite on compile using ant. So, you can replace your variables in web.xml according to what environment you are building you app for. (client_id varies by development environment/production environment, for example) If I understand it right, then Facebook graph API prefix should be kept in Constants.java (because it always is "https://graph.facebook.com/") and api_key, client_id should be kept in web.xml? What's the proper way to use them?

  • Is it bad practice to pass instances through several layers?

    - by Puckl
    In my program design, I often come to the point where I have to pass object instances through several classes. For example, if I have a controller that loads an audio file, and then passes it to a player, and the player passes it to the playerRunnable, which passes it again somewhere else etc. It looks kind of bad, but I don´t know how to avoid it. Or is it OK to do this? EDIT: Maybe the player example is not the best because I could load the file later, but in other cases that does not work.

  • Question for class

    - by Tyler
    I have a question for class that I cannot figure out, I was hoping the helpful folks at Ask Ubuntu could help. The question is basically this: Your Linux system appears to have a DHCP problem. You decide to release and renew the DHCP lease by running the following command "SUDO IFCONFIG ETH0 DOWN". The command gives an error message saying Linux doesn't recognize the command. What's the problem? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • Provide an OnChange event for an internal property which is controlled externally?

    - by NGLN
    For fun and by request I am updating this ImageGrid component, a kind of listbox for images that has a FileNames property of type TStrings. For ease of writing, I have been misusing its FileNames.Objects property for bitmap storage. But since the TStrings type suggests that users of the component could or would want to use the Objects property for custom data, e.g. like TListBox.Items, I am rewriting the component to store the bitmaps elsewhere and leave FileNames.Objects untouched for unknown future usage. Now I am wondering whether to provide an OnChange event. And if so, whether to fire it when one or more FileNames.Objects changes. Trying to answer it myself, I dove in Delphi's own VCL and stumbled on: TMemo: has an OnChange event, but ignores Lines.Objects TListBox: has no OnChange event, but is capable of storing Items.Objects TStringGrid: has no OnChange event, but is capable of storing Objects, Rows.Objects, Cols.Objects So now I am somewhat puzzeled, because I cannot imagine Borland's developers didn't add events for several Objects properties out of ease. Sure, when a user changes a FileNames.Object in my component, he knows he does and could implement appropriate interaction himself. But wouldn't it be convenient when the component does automatically? What would you expect from this component in this regard?

The requirement is to "build a simple program that has GUI based on all the chapter that we've learned." But i got stuck on WHAT program should i build. Any idea a program that is related to this chapter i've learned? Any input will help. list, array list, linked list, vectors, stacks, Queues, ADT, Hashing, Binary Search Tree, AVL Tree, That's about all i can remember. Any idea where can i start looking?

  • Updating and organizing class diagrams in a growing C++ project

    - by vanna
    I am working on a C++ project that is getting bigger and bigger. I do a lot of UML so it is not really hard to explain my work to co-workers. Lately though I implemented a lot of new features and I gave up updating by hand my Dia UML diagrams. I once used the class diagram of Visual Studio, which is my IDE but didn't get clear results. I need to show my work on a regular basis and I would like to be as clear as possible. Is there any tool that could generate a sort of organized map of my work (namespaces, classes, interactions, etc.) ?

Next i want to "generate" a class with these data types as fields. I also want to store all the records that i fetch in a collection. The problem is that i wanna do both step **1** and **2** at runt ime is this possible ? I am using C# currently but i can shift to something else if i need to.

  • Let a model instance choose appropriate view class using category. Is it good design?

    - by Denis Mikhaylov
    Assume I have abstract base model class called MoneySource. And two realizations BankCard and CellularAccount. In MoneysSourceListViewController I want to display a list of them, but with ListItemView different for each MoneySource subclass. What if I define a category on MoneySource @interface MoneySource (ListItemView) - (Class)listItemViewClass; @end And then override it for each concrete sublcass of MoneySource, returning suitable view class. @implementation CellularAccount (ListItemView) - (Class)listItemViewClass { return [BankCardListView class]; } @end @implementation BankCard (ListItemView) - (Class)listItemViewClass { return [CellularAccountListView class]; } @end so I can ask model object about its view, not violating MVC principles, and avoiding class introspection or if constructions. Thank you!

  • SEO Influenc search result per device class (mobile/desktop)

    - by user32224
    We're currently building a new responsive website and while working on the site map figured that we don't want to show certain sections on mobile devices. This can be easily done by hiding the navigation parts using css/media queries. However, trouble is that the hidden sites would still show up in search engines' search results. If a user happens to click on one of these links she might happen to see a badly formatted page as we'd use desktop/tablet only code to show images and video. Is there any way to "influence" to exclude certain pages if the search is done on a mobile device? Do search engines crawl pages once or with a device specific view twice? Could we set a noindex meta tag for a specific device class?

  • nHibernate, Automapping and Chained Abstract Classes

    - by Mr Snuffle
    I'm having some trouble using nHibernate, automapping and a class structure using multiple chains of abstract classes It's something akin to this public abstract class AbstractClassA {} public abstract class AbstractClassB : AbstractClassA {} public class ClassA : AbstractClassB {} When I attempt to build these mappings, I receive the following error "FluentNHibernate.Cfg.FluentConfigurationException was unhandled Message: An invalid or incomplete configuration was used while creating a SessionFactory. Check PotentialReasons collection, and InnerException for more detail. Database was not configured through Database method." However, if I remove the abstract keyword from AbstractClassB, everything works fine. The problem only occurs when I have more than one abstract class in the class hierarchy. I've manually configured the automapping to include both AbstractClassA and AbstractClassB using the following binding class public class BindItemBases : IManualBinding { public void Bind(FluentNHibernate.Automapping.AutoPersistenceModel model) { model.IncludeBase<AbstractClassA>(); model.IncludeBase<AbstractClassB>(); } } I've had to do a bit of hackery to get around this, but there must be a better way to get this working. Surely nHibernate supports something like this, I just haven't figured out how to configure it right. Cheers, James

Cannot load property type class org.jdesktop.beansbinding.Converter. The property cannot be loaded. Errors occurred in loading... I'm currently using Netbeans 6.8. I opened my project in Netbeans 6.7.1 and all was fine but after a while the same thing happened. Looking at the .form and .java files and comparing it to previous backups, everything looks fine. Even my Netbeans tutorial project no longer works. What can cause this. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. After further investigation this is taken from my IDE's log : INFO: msg org.openide.ErrorManager$AnnException: msg at org.openide.ErrorManager$AnnException.findOrCreate(ErrorManager.java:867) at org.openide.ErrorManager$DelegatingErrorManager.annotate(ErrorManager.java:650) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.annotateException(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:230) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.annotateException(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:240) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.getPropertyType(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:2362) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadProperty(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:2041) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadBindingProperties(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:2627) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadComponent(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:900) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.restoreComponent(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:845) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadComponent(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:979) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.restoreComponent(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:845) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadNonVisuals(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:695) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadForm(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:529) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.loadForm(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:290) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormEditor$3.run(FormEditor.java:339) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormLAF$2.run(FormLAF.java:287) at org.openide.util.Mutex.doEventAccess(Mutex.java:1355) at org.openide.util.Mutex.readAccess(Mutex.java:317) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormLAF.executeWithLookAndFeel(FormLAF.java:272) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormEditor.loadFormData(FormEditor.java:337) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormEditor.loadForm(FormEditor.java:266) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormEditorSupport.loadForm(FormEditorSupport.java:306) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormEditorSupport$3.run(FormEditorSupport.java:457) at java.awt.event.InvocationEvent.dispatch(InvocationEvent.java:209) at java.awt.EventQueue.dispatchEvent(EventQueue.java:597) at org.netbeans.core.TimableEventQueue.dispatchEvent(TimableEventQueue.java:125) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpOneEventForFilters(EventDispatchThread.java:269) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEventsForFilter(EventDispatchThread.java:184) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEventsForHierarchy(EventDispatchThread.java:174) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(EventDispatchThread.java:169) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(EventDispatchThread.java:161) at java.awt.EventDispatchThread.run(EventDispatchThread.java:122) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Will not load class org.jdesktop.beansbinding.Converter arbitrarily from one of ModuleCL@738d08[org.jdesktop.beansbinding] and ModuleCL@167e3a5[javax.beans.binding] starting from SystemClassLoader[556 modules]; see http://wiki.netbeans.org/DevFaqModuleCCE at org.netbeans.ProxyClassLoader.loadClass(ProxyClassLoader.java:241) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:252) at org.netbeans.modules.form.project.FormClassLoader.findClass(FormClassLoader.java:83) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:307) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:252) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:320) at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:247) at org.netbeans.modules.form.project.ClassPathUtils.loadClass(ClassPathUtils.java:95) at org.netbeans.modules.form.FormUtils.loadClass(FormUtils.java:1445) at org.netbeans.modules.form.PersistenceObjectRegistry.loadClass(PersistenceObjectRegistry.java:95) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.getClassFromString(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:5516) at org.netbeans.modules.form.GandalfPersistenceManager.getPropertyType(GandalfPersistenceManager.java:2348) ... 27 more msg Error in loading component property: Other Components-mainPanel-jTextField1-converter Cannot load property type class org.jdesktop.beansbinding.Converter.
