  • Is there a simple way for opening one (or many) opengl window in mac OS X with C++ ?

    Yes, I hate Objective-c, plus my project will be portable, so I'd like to code as much of it in C++ as possible, ideally 100%. So I have a regular C++ project made with Xcode, and want to open some OpenGL windows. edit: Damn, Glut takes over the app's control with glutMainLoop(), pretty much as SDL does, I'm trying to break free from that schemes. Will try freeglut, although I can't find OSX binaries, and I always have such bad luck trying to compile someone else's code.

    I like markdowns clean "tags", put i dont want to use their huge class they got. I just want some simple tags like the heading regex but i cant find it in the file. Ive been playing around with http://gskinner.com/RegExr/ but its damn hard So I'm looking for a regex that will match '# text' and close it after a linebreak (instead of </blabla> in bbcode) Hi How you doing?     I am way too indecisive. I have an idea for a (admittedly craptastic) GUI program, so I start writing it in C# .NET WinForms. Then like halfway through I'm like, damn I should have written this in Qt. So I start writing it in Qt and remember why I hate C++ STL iterators so much. So in my head I go LINQ C++ STL So I'm like, maybe I'll do it in WPF, I like markup to make UIs hey this is kinda like web development (read: ez pz) BUT ITS LIKE WHY GOD WHY CANT I JUST PICK ONE AND COMMIT

I want to know what all major browsers (including the versions!, cos i know that the latest builds do support canvas) support the Canvas tag. I don't give a damn about IE. So don't bother reporting IE. :) In this tutorial Drawing shapes - MDC, the quadraticCurveTo section says: quadraticCurveTo(cp1x, cp1y, x, y) // BROKEN in Firefox 1.5 (see work around below) Does that mean that Canvas is supported on Firefox 1.5 and above too?

    HI there! I've run into some problem while learning to combine .sh files and PHP. I've create a file test.sh and in that file I call a PHP file called test.php. If I double click on the .sh file then it runs perfectly but when I try to run it from the terminal I get "command not found". I'm in the exact folder as my .sh file but it wont work. Here's my test.sh: #!/bin/bash LIB=${0/%cli/} exec php -q ${LIB}test.php one two three exit; When I doubleclick on the test.sh file then it returns the argv array like it suppost to. But why can't I run it from terminal?

    I am aware that it is not possible to echo the * while you type in standard ANSI C. But is there a way to display nothing while someone is typing their password in the console. What I mean is like the sudo prompts in a Unix/Linux terminal. Like if you type in the command: sudo cp /etc/somefile ~/somedir. You are usually prompted for the root password. And while you type it in, the terminal displays nothing. Is this effect possible in C? If it is, how?

    Hi everyone, In my terminal window (using Max OS X) my shell is bash. However when I run a command in PHP via shell_exec or backtick operators I see that PHP is using the Bourne Shell (sh). Here's an example of what I'm seeing: From within my terminal window: $ echo $0 - bash Also if I call php as follows: $ php -r "echo shell_exec('echo $0');" -bash However, if I create a script called test.php with the following: <?php echo shell_exec('echo $0'); ?> And then run test php I get the following: $ php test.php sh I'm wanting to use the bash shell when calling shell_exec - why is it choosing the Bourne shell and can I force it to use bash?   • Cannot connect to local database.

    Hi, I have apache and mysql set up on my local machine (Mac). Whenever I go to any of my local sites I get the "Error establishing a database connection" whenever anything mySql related happens. It was working perfectly yesterday, but when I started my computer today it is not. I can login to mysql on the terminal and that all works fine, I can view database and run queries in the terminal. Look at all my table etc. I've tried restarting apache. Anyone know what's up? This is worrying.

  • Hard link not works under MacOS in GUI mode

    Hi, i faced a little strange behavior, while using hard links. From terminal, i create a text file 1.txt and a hard link "to this file" nano 1.txt mkdir dir ln 1.txt ./dir/ I check the resulting hard link and see, that it's contents is the same, as of "original" file. less ./dir/1.txt I change the initial file ... nano 1.txt ... and see, that changes was reflected in hard-link less ./dir/1.txt I change content of hard-link (more correct, of course - file, being referenced with hard-link) ... nano ./dir/1.txt ... and see, that changes are reflected in initial file less 1.txt Until now, all going well... Now, I close terminal and start playing with created files (1.txt and ./dir/1.txt) from Finder. When i change on this two files with TextEdit, changes are not reflected in another file. Just like the hard link was teared off... Whats going on here ?
