  • SetPartialRenderingMode can only be called once?

    I have a asp.net web form full of ajax. Every time a postback is made, the server event execute correctly, but when the page is rendering I get this error : Error : Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: SetPartialRenderingMode can only be called once. A search with SetPartialRenderingMode on google was unsuccessful. It seems it is related to AjaxControlToolkit. I have created a simple demo project that reproduce the problem. You can find it here (VS 2008 .NET 3.5). Note that you only see the error in IE7, it doesn't work in FF either but no error appear.

  • Correcting CS0009 Error When Creating Integration Services Project

    Tried to open an SSIS project I had been working on today and received this lovely error: Unable to generate temporary class (result=1) error CS0009: Metadata file 'c:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Xml\2.0.0.0_b77a5c561934e089\System.XML.dll' could not be opened -- 'No metadata was found.' Anyone know why this happens and how to correct it, I've Googled and haven't found any valid solutions relating directly to SSIS. It is only happening with BIDS 2008 and SSIS project types and I tried the same packages (as well as creating a new one) on my other machine and it was fine. Any ideas? Thank you.

    Hi all, I created an MSI InstalScript Project where i deploy a web based (ASP.NET) precompiled project copying the files during installation in the \inetpub\wwwroot\projectnamefolder, creating an AppPool and the virtual dir of course in the IIS. The setup works great in windows XP Pro (SP3 i used). But soon as i try in Windows 7 (tried Ultimate and Home Premium) i get a -1603 Fatal Error during installation...Windows Installer Help (MSI.chm) or MSDN for more info.... Dying to fix this... [Edit] I think error occurs when trying to create the Application in the IIS. [FIXED] Enable 32 Bit Apllications needs to be true when creating Application Pools through InstallShield in a 64 bit OS!

  • Webservice Jira gives: Error: No such operation 'getIssuesFromJqlSearch' from Jira 4.01

    When I use the Webservice of Jira, I need to use the method getIssuesFromJqlSearch to describe a certain (JQL) Query. But it returns me "No such operation 'getIssuesFromJqlSearch'". Is this method in Jira 4.01 not implemented yet? BTW: I need a method to get all Issues from one specific project, without creating filters first. This was my first way to find a workaround, because there is no function getIssuesFromProject. If there is no way to fix the problem with the JQL method, I try to take RSS XML View with the URL jql statement like SearchRequest.xml?jqlQuery=project+%3D+Testproject&tempMax=1000. But this is not my favorite.

It finds others without an issue on other pages, but this page for some odd reason it baulks? How can that be?

    I have a rather legacy application EXE written in VB6 and running on a Windows 2000 server that uses RDS (Remote Data Services) to access a business object DLL (also written in VB6) running on a Windows 2003 server. The DLL has never run on this server (we're moving the component off the old W2K server), but it is registered and defined as a component on the W2k+3 server. The specific code where the DLL is being called is: Private m_rdsDS As RDS.DataSpace Dim oARImport As Object Set oARImport = m_rdsDS.CreateObject("ARBatches.BL_ARBatches", txtWebServer) MsgBox oARImport.AddBatches(m_vConnParms, arbParseString, LinesFromFile) The CreateObject appears to work fine, but calling the method AddBatches raises the error number 8209 "Internet Server Error: Object/module not found." I'm leaning towards the idea that there is a permission issue somewhere at the root of the problem, but if this were the case, why wouldn't it say "You don't have permission"? I'd really like to rewrite the whole app but "they" won't let me.

  • Synchronizing an ERWin model with a Visual Studio 2008 GDR 2/2010 db project

    I am looking for options to get our vast collection of DB objects across many DBs into source control (TFS 2010). Once we succeed here, we will work toward generating our alter scripts for a particular DB change via TFS build. The problem is, our data architecture group is responsible for maintaining the DB objects (excluding SPs), and they work within a model centric process, via ERWin. What this means, is that they maintain the DBs via ERWin models, and generate alters from them that are used to release changes. In order to achieve our goal of getting the DB objects (not just the ERWin models) into TFS, I believe the best option is to do this via Visual Studio DB projects. From what I can tell, there is very little urgency for CA to continue supporting an integration between ERWin and Visual Studio, that no longer works as of Visual Studio 2008 DB Ed. GDR. If I have been mislead in this regard, please feel free to set me straight. One potential solution is to: Perform changes in the ERWin model. Take the alter script generated from ERWin, and import the script into the appropriate Visual Studio DB project, updating the objects in the in the DB project Check the changed objects in the DB project into TFS. TFS Build executes to generate the alter scripts that will be used to push the changes through our release process. My question is, is this solution viable, or are there any other options?

  • DDD: Aggregate Roots

    Hello, I need help with finding my aggregate root and boundary. I have 3 Entities: Plan, PlannedRole and PlannedTraining. Each Plan can include many PlannedRoles and PlannedTrainings. Solution 1: At first I thought Plan is the aggregate root because PlannedRole and PlannedTraining do not make sense out of the context of a Plan. They are always within a plan. Also, we have a business rule that says each Plan can have a maximum of 3 PlannedRoles and 5 PlannedTrainings. So I thought by nominating the Plan as the aggregate root, I can enforce this invariant. However, we have a Search page where the user searches for Plans. The results shows a few properties of the Plan itself (and none of its PlannedRoles or PlannedTrainings). I thought if I have to load the entire aggregate, it would have a lot of overhead. There are nearly 3000 plans and each may have a few children. Loading all these objects together and then ignoring PlannedRoles and PlannedTrainings in the search page doesn't make sense to me. Solution 2: I just realized the user wants 2 more search pages where they can search for Planned Roles or Planned Trainings. That made me realize they are trying to access these objects independently and "out of" the context of Plan. So I thought I was wrong about my initial design and that is how I came up with this solution. So, I thought to have 3 aggregates here, 1 for each Entity. This approach enables me to search for each Entity independently and also resolves the performance issue in solution 1. However, using this approach I cannot enforce the invariant I mentioned earlier. There is also another invariant that states a Plan can be changed only if it is of a certain status. So, I shouldn't be able to add any PlannedRoles or PlannedTrainings to a Plan that is not in that status. Again, I can't enforce this invariant with the second approach.   • What is good practice in .NET system architecture design concerning multiple models and aggregates

    I'm designing a larger enterprise architecture and I'm in a doubt about how to separate the models and design those. There are several points I'd like suggestions for: - models to define - way to define models Currently my idea is to define: Core (domain) model Repositories to get data to that domain model from a database or other store Business logic model that would contain business logic, validation logic and more specific versions of forms of data retrieval methods View models prepared for specifically formated data output that would be parsed by views of different kind (web, silverlight, etc). For the first model I'm puzzled at what to use and how to define the mode. Should this model entities contain collections and in what form? IList, IEnumerable or IQueryable collections? - I'm thinking of immutable collections which IEnumerable is, but I'd like to avoid huge data collections and to offer my Business logic layer access with LINQ expressions so that query trees get executed at Data level and retrieve only really required data for situations like the one when I'm retrieving a very specific subset of elements amongst thousands or hundreds of thousands. What if I have an item with several thousands of bids? I can't just make an IEnumerable collection of those on the model and then retrieve an item list in some Repository method or even Business model method. Should it be IQueryable so that I actually pass my queries to Repository all the way from the Business logic model layer? Should I just avoid collections in my domain model? Should I void only some collections? Should I separate Domain model and BusinessLogic model or integrate those? Data would be dealt trough repositories which would use Domain model classes. Should repositories be used directly using only classes from domain model like data containers? This is an example of what I had in mind: So, my Domain objects would look like (e.g.) public class Item { public string ItemName { get; set; } public int Price { get; set; } public bool Available { get; set; } private IList<Bid> _bids; public IQueryable<Bid> Bids { get { return _bids.AsQueryable(); } private set { _bids = value; } } public AddNewBid(Bid newBid) { _bids.Add(new Bid {.... } } Where Bid would be defined as a normal class. Repositories would be defined as data retrieval factories and used to get data into another (Business logic) model which would again be used to get data to ViewModels which would then be rendered by different consumers. I would define IQueryable interfaces for all aggregating collections to get flexibility and minimize data retrieved from real data store. Or should I make Domain Model "anemic" with pure data store entities and all collections define for business logic model? One of the most important questions is, where to have IQueryable typed collections? - All the way from Repositories to Business model or not at all and expose only solid IList and IEnumerable from Repositories and deal with more specific queries inside Business model, but have more finer grained methods for data retrieval within Repositories. So, what do you think? Have any suggestions?

  • Saving State Dynamic UserControls...Help!

    I have page with a LinkButton on it that when clicked, I'd like to add a Usercontrol to the page. I need to be able to add/remove as many controls as the user would like. The Usercontrol consists of three dropdownlists. The first dropdownlist has it's auotpostback property set to true and hooks up the OnSelectedIndexChanged event that when fired will load the remaining two dropdownlists with the appropriate values. My problem is that no matter where I put the code in the host page, the usercontrol is not being loaded properly. I know I have to recreate the usercontrols on every postback and I've created a method that is being executed in the hosting pages OnPreInit method.   • Simulating Google Appengine's Task Queue with Gearman

    One of the characteristics I love most about Google's Task Queue is its simplicity. More specifically, I love that it takes a URL and some parameters and then posts to that URL when the task queue is ready to execute the task. This structure means that the tasks are always executing the most current version of the code. Conversely, my gearman workers all run code within my django project -- so when I push a new version live, I have to kill off the old worker and run a new one so that it uses the current version of the code. My goal is to have the task queue be independent from the code base so that I can push a new live version without restarting any workers. So, I got to thinking: why not make tasks executable by url just like the google app engine task queue? The process would work like this: User request comes in and triggers a few tasks that shouldn't be blocking. Each task has a unique URL, so I enqueue a gearman task to POST to the specified URL. The gearman server finds a worker, passes the url and post data to a worker The worker simply posts to the url with the data, thus executing the task. Assume the following: Each request from a gearman worker is signed somehow so that we know it's coming from a gearman server and not a malicious request. Tasks are limited to run in less than 10 seconds (There would be no long tasks that could timeout) What are the potential pitfalls of such an approach? Here's one that worries me: The server can potentially get hammered with many requests all at once that are triggered by a previous request. So one user request might entail 10 concurrent http requests. I suppose I could have a single worker with a sleep before every request to rate-limit. Any thoughts?

  • Websphere MQ using JMS, closed connections stuck on the MQ

    I have a simple JMS application deployed on OC4J under AIX server, in my application I'm listening to some queues and sending to other queues on a Websphere MQ deployed under AS400 server. The problem is that my connections to these queues are terminated/closed when it stays idle for some time with the error MQJMS1016 (this is not the problem), and when that happens I attempt to recover the connection and it works, however, the old connection is stuck at the MQ and would not terminate until it is terminated manually.     I used the Magento Connect downloader to install the blank theme extension, but I did not switch to it as I was unable to access any-page anymore. Instead, it started showing php errors for front-end and Magento generated security errors for admin.
