  • Can each mobile app have its own client account for payments? (Windows Phone, Android and iPhone)

    My company has many clients wanting mobile applications and having the payments come into our account and then sorting the payments would be a real pain. So can a company have a main account to publish applications (free and chargeable) and still have some sort of client account for each app (so they could view sales and receive full payment directly)? I would like to know for Windows, Android and Apple please.

  • xcode linker error on iPhone app (Only on simulator)

    Im getting this linker error that won't let me compile. It only happens on the simulator. KEY POINTS: - Happens only in simulator - Similar to THIS question, but found no FRAMEWORK_SEARCH_PATHS in my .pbxproj file - Though my OS is 10.6.2, I had to build target 1.5 to avoid other linker errors - libxml2.dylib IS required and is in my Frameworks group - The other cited libraries I have never heard of. - Tried bringing in those other Libs under frameworks, didn't solve. It got me thinking about how the iPad is going to be classified, as a mobile platform or a desktop platform, or is it going to spark a new category. Since it runs iPhone OS, it could be considered a mobile device, but I have a hard time with that because of the screen size. What should iPad be classified as: Mobile, Desktop, or Other (Try to come up with a good name for Other)?

  • Is it possible to manually install RDP client 6.1 for platforms that aren't directly supported?

    I have some clients that need RDP client 6.1 in order to utilize the new easy print driver. However, the installer doesn't allow it to install on several platforms such as Windows Home Server or Windows Server 2003 because they are not XP. The version check prevents it going further. I'm reasonably confident that it should actually run however and want to try it. Has anyone done this before? what I should really ask is... what files should I manually copy (backing up originals first)... just the exe or are there lots of dependant dll's that need upgrading too?

  • Why is glpk-java.jar not the same across all platforms?

    I'm using glpk-java in one of my projects. It provides a JNI to GLPK, a free LP/MIP solver. To use it under different platforms, you need different shared libraries (libglpk.so under Linux, libglpk.dylib under Mac OS X, glpk.dll under Windows) which is fully understandable. In addition, a java library is needed: glpk-java.jar. It's created as part of the build process. I was wondering why this JAR file (which only contains .class files) is different under different platforms? I.e., I cannot use the same glpk-java.jar under Linux and Mac OS X which means that I cannot put this file under revision control.

    In what platforms/browsers does Adobe Flash come preinstalled? I'm pretty sure neither FireFox nor Safari include it on any platform but Chrome on Windows does (not sure about Mac or Linux). What about IE on a completely vanilla Win XP system? Or Win 7? Maybe mfgs like Dell add it if MS doesn't? Perhaps we can find (or build) a comprehensive list. Considering that Flash is a significant piece of the web platform, I hope I've asked this on the right place.

    Hi guys, I'm developing an Windows Mobile 6.5 start menu replacement called JWMD Stuick. Currently, I'm able to detect if the Start Menu is created or destroyed by checking GetWindowLong() API.. Though this does not guarantee if Start Menu is visible or not because other cooked ROM was even if the Start Menu is closed or an app was executed from Start Menu -- the Start Menu GWL still has value. Do guys have better ways or ideas how to check if Start Menu is Visible? Thanks.
