• Maximum number of memory segments that Notes can support has been exceeded

  hi All, I am using Domino.dll to access a NSF file in C#.NET 2.0 I am using multiple thread to access 4 NSF files at a time, its working fine for small NSF files, but if i try to access large NSF files i get the Out of Memory Exception and Maximum number of memory segments that Notes can support has been exceeded. This exception usually occurs when i access NotesDocument object from a large NSFVIewFolder in a while loop. I am releasing the instance of the NotesDocument by using the Marshal.ReleaseComObject(NotesDocument); still it throws the same exception. My goal is to access multiple NSF files at a time (MAX 4 NSF files at a time) for large NSF files (may be in GB). Kindly help me, if you got some solution. Thanks.

  Hi In Android I can get phone numbers of all the contacts without any problem. Tha problem is that for most users some numbers are stored as 'local' numbers, meaning that they dont have the country code included. For example, if the user lives in US and he has 2 contacts: 1) John - 555-123-1234 (local) (starting 1 not showing) 2) Jane - 44-123456787 (england phone number) The question is: How do I get all the numbers in an international format, when some of the numbers doesnt include the country code?   This feels like a completely basic question, but, for the life of me, I can't seem to work out an elegant solution. Basically, I am doing a Linq Query creating a new object from the query. In the new object, I want to generate a auto-incremented number to allow me to keep a selection order for later use (named Iter in my example). Here is my current solution that does what I am needing: Dim query2 = From x As DictionaryEntry In MasterCalendarInstance _ Order By x.Key _ Select New With {.CalendarId = x.Key, .Iter = 0} For i = 0 To query2.Count - 1 query2(i).Iter = i Next Is there a way to do this within the context of the linq query (so that I don't have to loop the collection after the query)?   I have an error in my GXT code on Internet Explorer (both Development Mode and not) when i try to attach a label to a panel. The error is "Unknown runtime error number: -2146827687" but this error in a GWT module is throws always, in other gwt modules with a label attached to the panel the error there isn't. The layout of panel is a GridFormLayout developed by me. The error is thrown when the renderComponentInCell is called (the method is called on doLayout) and the component is not rendered (else condition). private void renderComponentInCell(Component component, Element cell) { if (component.isRendered()) { cell.appendChild(component.getElement()); } else { component.render(cell); } } What can I do?

I am using both Yahoo and Google geocoding engines at http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/geocoder/, and found out that for a large number of addresses those engines (one of them or both) either could not perform geocoding (i.e.return latitude=0,longitude=0), or return the wrong coordinates (incl. cases when Yahoo and Google give different results). What is the best way to handle this problem? Which engine is (usually) more accurate? I would appreciate any thoughts, suggestions, ideas from people who had previous experience with this kind of task.

So the question how do delete characters from textview.text or re-enable the text view .

  I need to add a period after the chapter/table/figure number in each line in Table of Contents/LoT/LoF. ie, right now it shows: TABLES 1 first 2 second but I need it to show: TABLES 1. first 2. second I know this can be done with the tocloft package, however, that package is conflicting with the latex style I'm using, with the error: \c@lotdepth is already defined. (The style is an old style for my university's thesis format, but it's slightly out of date, so I need to make some changes to get it right. I also found that I can change thechapter/thetable/thefigure, so those contain periods. However, that then messes up my references and has the period in all of my references.

  I have just started to look at the new "System.Threading.Tasks" goodness in .Net 4.0, and would like to know if there is any build in support for limiting the number of concurrent tasks that run at once, or if this should be manually handled. E.G: If I need to call a calculation method 100 times, is there a way to set up 100 Tasks, but have only 5 execute simultaneously? The answer may just be to create 5 tasks, call Task.WaitAny, and create a new Task as each previous one finishes. I just want to make sure I am not missing a trick if there is a better way to do this. Thanks for any help.

  I have a control that has a byte array in it. Every now and then there are two bytes that tell me some info about number of future items in the array. So as an example I could have: ... ... Item [4] = 7 Item [5] = 0 ... ... The value of this is clearly 7. But what about this? ... ... Item [4] = 0 Item [5] = 7 ... ... Any idea on what that equates to (as an normal int)? I went to binary and thought it may be 11100000000 which equals 1792. But I don't know if that is how it really works (ie does it use the whole 8 items for the byte). Is there any way to know this with out testing? Note: I am using C# 3.0 and visual studio 2008

  We have a large number of documents and metadata (xml files) associated with these documents. What is the best way to organize them? Currently we put them into a series of nested folders: /repository/category/date(when they were loaded into our db)/document_number.pdf and .xml We use the path as a unique identifier for the document in our system. This is more versatile than putting them all in a single flat folder. also it is independent from our database/application, so we can reload them in case of failure. Yet, it introduces some limitations. for example we can't move the files once they've been placed in this structure, also it takes work to put them this way. What is the best practice? How websites such as Scribd deal with this problem?

  My app (which uses MySQL) is doing a large number of subsequent upserts. Right now my SQL looks like this: INSERT IGNORE INTO customer (name,customer_number,social_security_number,phone) VALUES ('VICTOR H KINDELL','123','123','123') INSERT IGNORE INTO customer (name,customer_number,social_security_number,phone) VALUES ('VICTOR H KINDELL','123','123','123') INSERT IGNORE INTO customer (name,customer_number,social_security_number,phone) VALUES ('VICTOR H KINDELL OR','123','123','123') INSERT IGNORE INTO customer (name,customer_number,social_security_number,phone) VALUES ('TRACY L WALTER PERSONAL REP FOR','123','123','123') INSERT IGNORE INTO customer (name,customer_number,social_security_number,phone) VALUES ('TRACY L WALTER PERSONAL REP FOR','123','123','123') So far I've found INSERT IGNORE to be the fastest way to achieve upserts. Selecting a record to see if it exists and then either updating it or inserting a new one is too slow. Even this is not as fast as I'd like because I need to do a separate statement for each record. Sometimes I'll have around 50,000 of these statements in a row. Is there a way to take care of all of these in just one statement, without deleting any existing records?

  I have written a polynomial class along the lines described in SICP 2.5.3 (except using defclass). I would like to be able to seamlessly add and multiply polynomials and regular numbers but I can't make change-class accept a number. I tried to simplify the problem by changing class from an integer to a float: (change-class 4 'float) but that gave me the error: There is no applicable method for the generic function #<STANDARD-GENERIC-FUNCTION CHANGE-CLASS (7)> when called with arguments (4 #<BUILT-IN-CLASS FLOAT>). [Condition of type SIMPLE-ERROR] I get an error of the same form from (fyi): (change-class 4 'polynomial) I'm going to go ahead and implement a manual conversion but I would prefer to use the built-in clos facilities.

  Hi there, I have a csv DictReader object (using Python 3.1), but I would like to know the number of lines/rows contained in the reader before I iterate through it. Something like as follows... myreader = csv.DictReader(open('myFile.csv', newline='')) totalrows = ? rowcount = 0 for row in myreader: rowcount +=1 print("Row %d/%d" % (rowcount,totalrows)) I know I could get the total by iterating through the reader, but then I couldn't run the 'for' loop. I could iterate through a copy of the reader, but I cannot find how to copy an iterator. I could also use totalrows = len(open('myFile.csv').readlines()) but that seems an unnecessary re-opening of the file. I would rather get the count from the DictReader if possible.
