    Hello There is another relevant question asked Validation Check in asp.net In the same scenario we need a custom validator control which will alert user for any wrong entry. This will work like this : Developer will pass the control-name, input-value and format-required For instance like for textbox it can be: txtName,txtName.Text, allow-alphabets-only The accordingly format if the user input is invalid he/she will be got prompt.     Using ASP.NET 3.5 with VB codebehind. I don't want to use a webservice to populate an autocomplete extender on a textbox. In this case, it's where the user is entering email addresses and I don't want to make a trip to the database every single time. I'd much rather keep a collection in session state and 'bind' the autocomplete to that. Is it possible to set ServicePath and/or ServiceMethod to something in the codebehind as opposed to a webservice?

    The following code works, but I'm curious as to why I need the Path to be prefixed with "DataContext"? In most other cases, the path used is relative to DataContext. Is it because I am using a RelativeSource? If I try to apply the styling to the Border for example it does just that - draws the standard checkbox with a border around it - which is valid I guess.
