Here are the problems I am having with the control from the factory:
no easy way to get the first visible date (yeah I could use day render, but at that point in the page cycle, I can't do what I need to, which is manipulate a collection in viewstate)
changing the visibledate property in my code does not raise the visiblemonthchanged event. That just doesn't make any sense to me.
Can someone suggest a free, improved calendar control?
I have been doing Java, and C# for many years.
Starting on my first big Python program now.
I have written a few, very small, text processing scripts in Python years ago.
I would like to know what is the best, free, online Python tutorial for experienced programmers.
Python in general, but then also web programming with Python. Will be using Django.
Thanx much.
I am looking for a free for commercial use classfields/ad portal script that would work either under apache + postgresql/mysql or under windows (asp.net + sql server express).
Could you recommend something?
Maybe I should use joomla with an extension like adsManager?
Am developing my web application using Django, and is seems CSS is the only way i can format my pages to look and feel nice. Where can i get a free and good css editor?
NB: Is there another way to format forms in Django?
How much better would commercial OCR software be compared to the stuff that's available online for free?
More specifically: Reading text in pictures (things like book covers etc...)
Is there any free CMS to operate a small business website/blog with screen reader compatibility where a blind person can update the content and other things via CMS administration?
I'm trying to do some cryptography for SQL Server 2000, and I know that only SQL 2005+ comes with built-in functionality for doing this natively.
Do you know any open source implementation that I can use for free of RSA-2048 cryptography?
I am searching a free diff tool with support of native syntax and markup for XAML, but failed to find one. I like Altova's DiffDog but it's paid. CodeCompare is an useful tool. It has some worth with its integration into VisualStudio and usage of native editors. It's a perfect solution for XML! However, it does not support XAML editors. Who can recommend a diff tool for XAML?
With my current code base I'd like to build two or more different versions of my Android app (free, premium, ...). For the iPhone (XCode) I can definte different targets. Is there something similar implemented in Eclipse?
Hi, couldn't find it exactly from earlier questions, but I am probably repeating an earlier question, so apologies upfront ;-)
I am looking for a simple code to embed a QR 2D code generator on a website I am building. I assume their should be some free open source code for that but I could only find paid software.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? would be mostly appreciated!

Robbert
I have a team developing software in MS Visual Studio and now they want to start using MS Team Foundation Server, mainly for versioning and maybe patch and bug tracking.
They don't have any experience with MS Team Foundation Server, but they are very enthusiastic with MS products.
So whats the best free open source alternative solution? Git, SVN, CVS, Bugzilla, plugins, etc.
I have to stay away from my MacBook and will use Windows for a while. I missed Textmate's folder view when editing my rails projects. Is there an editor on Windows with the folder view? I know there is the E text editor. But I'll save a few bucks if there is a free (cheaper) alternative, as I won't stay in Windows for long ...
Hi,
Is there a free version of IIS to demo ASP.net applications on that will run on XP?
(i.e. or does one need a machine with Windows Server and it's license for a demo - e.g. if a prototype was built in VS2010 but one wanted to demo it on another PC)
I just started freelancing after being employed. At my previous job we used basecamp to manage time and what to do on projects. I like basecamp a lot but I'm trying to cut costs as much as possible now when I'm starting of.
So my question is simple; What are the free alternatives to basecamp for managing projects?
I am looking for a text editor that will be able to load a 4+ Gigabyte file into it. Textpad doesn't work. I own a copy of it and have been to its support site, it just doesn't do it. Maybe I need new hardware, but that's a different question. The editor needs to be free OR, if its going to cost me, then no more than $30. For Windows.
I've been having a look through Mercurial's list of Hg hosting providers but can't really distinguish much about the real quality of the services.
What are other peoples' experiences with free services? Which would you recommend and why?
I am using a third party tool that is pointing to images in memory with a windows handle.
The tool stats that you are responsible for freeing handle. So how would you free that handle in Delphi 7? The datatype for the handle is LONG
