  • Pear MDB2 class and raiserror exceptions in MSSQL

    Hi, in MSSQL it's possible to raise an error with raiserror(). I want to use a severity, which doesn't interrupt the connection. This error is raised in a stored procedure. In SQL Management Studio all is fine and I get my error code when executing this SP. But when trying to execute this SP via MDB2 in PHP5 this doesn't work. All I get is an empty array. MDB2 object is created via (including needed options): $db =& MDB2::connect($dsn); $db->setFetchMode(MDB2_FETCHMODE_ASSOC); $db->setOption('portability',MDB2_PORTABILITY_ALL ^ MDB2_PORTABILITY_EMPTY_TO_NULL); The following works (I get a PEAR error): $db->query("RAISERROR('test',11,0);"); But when calling a stored procedure which raises this error via $db->query("EXEC sp_raise_error"); there is not output. What's wrong?

  • Left Join 3 Tables and Show True or False on Empty Cells

    Ok, this may be confusing so I hope I explain it correctly. I have 4 tables: business photos video category I want to display "featured" businesses on the home page (or elsewhere) and I want to show a Yes or No in the table row based upon whether or not there are photos or videos for that business. Example: Joes Crab Shack has no videos or photos but is featured. So, when his row is echoed out it will show the Business Name and Business Owner but there will be no data in the photo or video cells thus in the video and photos column it will say No. Otherwise, if the opposite was true, it would say Yes.   • Machine restricted login access

    I am working on a project that has a requirement such that login details can only be accessed from one machine at one time. For example, if I grant you access to my website and you login from your home machine, the system will store this settings in a cookie/database. Now if you try the same login details on your work machine or any other machine, the system will not let you log into the system. The login will now only work from home machine. Any suggestions on how to achieve this would be helpful. Any resources you can point me towards would also be appreciated.

  • Modifying generator.yml views in Symfony

    Hey! I'm currently working on a web app written in Symfony. I'm supposed to add an "export to CSV" feature in the backend/administration part of the app for some modules. In the list view, there should be an "Export" button which should provide the user with a csv file of the elements that are displayed (considering filtering criteria). I've created a method in the actions class of the module that takes a comma separated list of ids and generates the CSV, but I'm not really sure how to add the link to it in the view. The problem is that the view doesn't exist anywhere, it's generated on the fly from the data in the generator.yml configuration file.   • How do I display exception errors thrown by Zend framework

    Hi guys I'm working with Zend framework and just hate the fact that I seem to encounter hundreds of exception errors like if I try to reference a non existant property of an object my application just dies and crashes. However I have no idea where to see these errors or how to be able to display them on screen. I've set display errors to true and error reporting to E_ALL but when an error is thrown all I see is a blank page rendered only until a bit before where the error apparently occurred or the exception was thrown. Help please my debugging hours are dragging

  • Adding Parameters to Zend_Navigation

    I have a problem with Zend_Navigation that I am hoping for a little guidance on. I'm in the process of adding a Zend_Navigation to a legacy app as described [here on SO].1 The thing that I am not sure of is how to add parameters to the navigation menu after the data is loaded from the xml file. What I want to do is get 2 identifying parameters from the url and add them to the Zend_Navigation so that they are included in things such as the breadcrumb bar, so that if a user selects the previous item in the breadcrumb they are returned with the correct params in the url. The parameters, I believe need to be set at the Action level rather than the controller. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

  • simpletest - Why does setReturnValue() seem to change behaviour depending whether test is run in iso

    I am using SimpleTest version 1.0.1 for a unit test. I create a new mock object within a test method and on it i do: $MockDbAdaptor->setReturnValue('query',1); Now, when i run this in a standalone unit test my tested object is happy to see 1 returned when query() is called on the mock db adaptor. However, when this exact same test is run as part of my 'all_tests' TestSuite, the test is failing. This happens because a call to the mock's query() method does not appear to return any value - thus causing my test subject to complain and trigger an unexpected exception that fails the test. So, the behaviour of setReturnValue() seems to change depending on whether the test is run in isolation or not. I can get it to work in both a standalone and TestSuite contexts by using this instead: $MockDbAdaptor->setReturnValueAt(0,'query',1); So my immediate problem can be fixed ...but it feels like a hack. I thought if i create a new mock within a test method then why is the setReturnValue() behaviour getting affected by the context in which the test class instance is run? It feel like a bug.

    Hi everybody, I was thinking about using memcached to store sessions instead of mySQL, which seemed like a good idea, at first. When it comes to the failover part of utilizing memcached servers, It's a bit worrying that my sessions will stop working if the memcached would go offline. It will certainly affect my users. There's a few techniques that we already utilize to reduce failover, including having a pool of servers available to compensate in the event of downtime, utilizing sharding/consistent hashing across the server pool and so on. We would also do some sort of graceful degradation that tells the users that something have gone wrong and they are welcome to login again, in the event of them being kicked out due to memcached server failover. So how does people generally deal with these issues when storing sessions on memcached servers?

    Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to know if a node is the last child of another, or not. I know how to retrieve the parent's lastChild name ($node-parentNode-lastChild-nodeName), but as sometimes there's many same node names within the same parent, the name is definitly not the way to find the last child. I'm looking for some kind of iterator which can retrieve the number of childs, and depending of the position of the current node, tell if the current node is the last child. Thanks!

  • Same OpenID code working on 1 server not working on another

    We implemented OpenID for Google Marketplace on this online hosting and it worked perfectly fine. But its not working on another server which DOES NOT have cPanel unlike the online hosting.     I'm using cake & have a web form for entering URLs to go into my db. There will be one input space (url1) and below that a link that says "add another URL" which, when clicked, generates a new form (url2) and reuses the "add another URL". So it would be like: echo $form->input('name'); echo $form->input('id'); echo $form->input('url1'); echo $form->input('weight1'); echo '<a href="XXX">add another URL</a>'; and then, if XXX is clicked it would be like this: echo $form->input('name'); echo $form->input('id'); echo $form->input('url1'); echo $form->input('weight1'); echo $form->input('url2'); echo $form->input('weight2'); echo '<a href="XXX">add another URL</a>'; Is there a jquery script I can use to do this or does cake have something built in?

  • \n not working in my fwrite()

    Not sure what could be the problem. I'm dumping data from an array $theArray into theFile.txt, each array item on a separate line. $file = fopen("theFile.txt", "w"); foreach ($theArray as $arrayItem){ fwrite($file, $arrayItem . '\n'); } fclose($file); Problem is when I open theFile.txt, I see the \n being outputted literally. Also if I try to programmatically read the file line by line (just in case lines are there), it shows them as 1 line meaning \n are really not having their desired effect.

  • How to get query result even if JOIN hasn't found any results?

    I want select data for user, and join another info from other table that related to the user. The problem is that this extra data not always exist for any user, just for few. How can I write a query that will return NULL for not found data, instead just return null for the whole query? SELECT a.*, b.* FROM user AS a LEFT JOIN extra AS b ON (a.userid = b.userid) WHERE a.userid = {$userid} LIMIT 1 When extra data found for the user, I get the resource as expected. If not, I get NULL for the whole query. Bottom line, I don't care if "extra" exist for the user or not, if yes - select it as well, if not - ignore that.
