    I just followed How to use Group Policy to remotely install software in Windows Server 2003 to try publishing a software (MSI file). I could follow all the steps, but the supposedly successfully published software does not appear on client/user machine's Add/Remove Programs. Could some help figure why this may not be working. Update: On reading this question on Experts-Exchange, tried gpresults.   • Add button to a layout programmatically

    I'm having trouble adding a button to a layout that I've created in XML. Here's what I want to achieve: //some class else { startActivity(new Intent(StatisticsScreen.this, ScreenTemperature.class)); } //// //ScreenTemperatureClass @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); //this is where I call another class that //displays a nice graph setContentView(new GraphTemperature(getApplicationContext())); } I want to add a Button to this new screen so that it'll appear below the graph. I've tried creating a LinearLayout view, then create a Button and add it to this view but I just get NullPointerExceptions.. Any help would be appreciated. EDIT#2 So i tried bhups method: @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); GraphTemperature GT = new GraphTemperature(getApplicationContext()); layout = (LinearLayout) findViewById(R.id.statsviewlayout); Button buyButton = new Button(this); buyButton.setText(R.string.button_back); buyButton.setLayoutParams(new LayoutParams( ViewGroup.LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT, ViewGroup.LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT)); layout.addView(GT); // line 27 layout.addView(buyButton); setContentView(layout); } This method produced the same logcat error as above, NullPointerException, indicating it was something to do with line no. 27 which is the layout.addView line of code.   • XCode - Automatically add all files in a folder to a target

    In XCode, is there a way to specify that all files in a folder are compiled by a target. Eg. the 'Test' target automatically compiles all files in the 'Tests' folder, whereas the 'App' target compiles everything in the 'Sources' folder. Today, the way I'm doing it, is to add a file to a target everytime I create it. This feels a bit error prone and redundant since the files are already organized in the correct folders. Thanks.

The MVVM method avoids using Events to communicate with the VM as they create code-behind. Should I create a Dependency Property to trigger the VM but I don't think I've seen other controls with a "NewRecord" property? Any thoughts?

    Hello, So when your using ASP.NET Wizards to create a login, it uses a set of auto generated tables using the aspnet_regsql.exe tool... When you create a user using the wizard it generates a very long userID "a40cf936-1596-4560-a26c-450792e2c8c0" I want to add users using another program that connects to this database... but how does visual studio auto-generate this ID.     In my application I am using a webview, and in order to increase/decrease text size, I am using WebSettings().setTextSize method, but, this method is limited to 5 predefined enum sizes only (SMALLEST, SMALLER, NORMAL, LARGER,LARGEST). I know I can use WebSettings().setTextZoom(int), but my application is available for API Level 8 and above, and this method was introduced in API Level 14... My question is: Is there any way to add other sizes to webSettings().setTextSize? maybe by extending textSize enum, or define other sizes?
