    Can someone help to query Google analytics to track a specific user behavior and usage pattern? Currently I pass user id’s to GA as _setCustomVar(2, 'id', id, 1); This is session based. But I am yet to master how I can utilize this to view usage pattern & behavior for the passed id. Say, I need to understand the visualization flow for one id or the page view count for that id etc Rephrasing, can I filter all existing reports for a specific id that I can select?

  • Event Aggregator.. not getting a response, how to determine completion?

    I'm rewriting a vehicle tracking application, a google maps based thing.. The users are able to search for a vehicle by typing a few characters of the vehicles "callsign". My application is based around a sort of "event bus" within Backbone.. when a search occurs I send a message on the bus saying something like "does anyone match this?".. If a marker matches the search term it responds with a sort of "yes, I match!".. My challenge arises when no-one matches, I get no response.. it feels a little hacky to "wait a little while" and check if a response has been recieved.. The application is based around Backbone.js and using the Event Aggregator pattern described in the answer to this question on Stack Overflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7708195/access-function-in-one-view-from-another-in-backbone-js Is there a well defined design pattern that might assist me here? Sending a request for a response and not getting any responses?

  • Custom keyboard shortcuts are reset. How can I make them set permanently?

    I'm having a problem with both Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 with custom keyboard shorcuts. They are reset after a while (I can't find a pattern but it seems to be when a massive upgrade happens). It happend to me a couple of days ago, when 12.10 got about 27 updates. I've searched launchapd and askubuntu, and found no question similar. My shortucts are not lost on reboot, I still can't find a pattern to identify the problem as I said. I tried also not using Control Center app, but gnome's dconf-editor, but same result as I found on some blog post. My question is, how can I save my custom shorcuts to restore them when this happens? Can somebody help me compose a bug for launchpad, like what package could be causing this, so I can fill a bug report. Thanks in advance.

  • What's the difference between Host and HostName in SSH Config?

    The man page says this: Host Host Restricts the following declarations (up to the next Host keyword) to be only for those hosts that match one of the patterns given after the keyword. If more than one pattern is provided, they should be separated by whitespace. A single `*' as a pattern can be used to provide global defaults for all hosts. The host is the hostname argument given on the command line (i.e. the name is not converted to a canonicalized host name before matching). A pattern entry may be negated by prefixing it with an exclamation mark (`!'). If a negated entry is matched, then the Host entry is ignored, regardless of whether any other patterns on the line match. Negated matches are therefore useful to provide exceptions for wildcard matches. See PATTERNS for more information on patterns. HostName HostName Specifies the real host name to log into. This can be used to specify nicknames or abbreviations for hosts. If the hostname contains the character sequence `%h', then this will be replaced with the host name specified on the command line (this is useful for manipulating unqualified names). The default is the name given on the com- mand line. Numeric IP addresses are also permitted (both on the command line and in HostName specifications).   • Using IIS7 as a reverse proxy

    My question is pretty much identical to the question listed but they did not get an answer as they ended up using Linux as the reverse proxy. http://serverfault.com/questions/55309/using-iis7-as-a-reverse-proxy I need to have IIS the main site and linux (Apache) being the proxied site(s). so I have site1.com (IIS7) site2.com (Linux Apache) they have subdomains of sub1.site1.com sub2.site1.com sub3.site2.com I want all traffic to go to site1.com and to say anything that is site2.com should be proxied to linux box on internal network, (believe ARR can do this but not sure how). I can not have it running as Apache doing the proxying as I need IIS exposed directly. any and all advice would be great.   • mod_rewrite REQUEST_FILENAME doesn't contain absolute path

    I have a problem with a file test operation in a mod_rewrite RewriteCond entry which is testing whether %{REQUEST_FILENAME} exists. It seems that rather than %{REQUEST_FILENAME} being an absolute path, I'm getting a path which is rooted at the DocumentRoot instead. Configuration I have this inside a <VirtualHost> block in my apache 2.2.9 configuration: RewriteEngine on RewriteLog /tmp/rewrite.log RewriteLogLevel 5 #push virtually everything through our dispatcher script RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^/([^/]*)/?([^/]*) /dispatch.php?_c=$1&_m=$2 [qsa,L] Diagnostics attempted That rule is a common enough idiom for routing requests for non-existent files or directories through a script. Trouble is, it's firing even if a file does exist. If I remove the rule, I can request normal files just fine.   • script to list user's mapped drive not giving results or error

    We are in the process of migrating two file servers to a new server. We have mapped drives via user group in group policy. Many users have manually mapped drives and we need to find these mappings. I have created a PowerShell script to run that remotely get the drive mappings. It works on most computers but there are many that are not returning results and I am not getting any error messages. Each workstation on the list creates a text file and the ones that are not returning results have no text in the files. I can ping these machines. If the machine is not turned on, it does come up error message that the RPC server is not available. My domain user account is in a group that is in the local admin account. I have no idea why some are not working.     I have Apache Tomcat 7.0 installed on a Windows 2008 R2 Server. Tomcat has access to a share '\server\share' that has a documents folder that I want to access using '/foo/Documents' in my web application. My application is able to access the documents when I set the file path to '//server/share/documents/doc1.doc'. I don't want the file server's path to be exposed on my link to the file in my application. I want to be able to set the path to '/foo/Documents/doc1.doc'. In http://www3.ntu.edu.sg/home/ehchua/programming/howto/Tomcat_More.html under 'Setting the Context Root Directory and Request URL of a Webapp' item number two says that I can rename the path by putting in a context to the server.xml file.     Hi! I'm trying to compose two videos, and I'm using the alpha plug-in to make the white color transparent. To test the alpha plug-in I'm creating the pipeline with gst-launch. The first test I done was: gst-launch videotestsrc pattern=smpte75 \ ! alpha method=custom target-r=255 target-g=255 target-b=255 angle=10 \ ! videomixer name=mixer ! ffmpegcolorspace ! autovideosink \ videotestsrc pattern=snow ! mixer. and it works great! Then I created two videos with those lines: gst-launch videotestsrc pattern=snow ! ffmpegcolorspace ! theoraenc ! oggmux ! filesink location=snow.ogv gst-launch videotestsrc pattern=smpte75 ! ffmpegcolorspace ! theoraenc ! oggmux ! filesink location=bars75.ogv And changed the videotestsrc to a filesrc and it continues working gst-launch filesrc location=bars75.ogv ! decodebin2 \ ! alpha method=custom target-r=255 target-g=255 target-b=255 angle=10 \ ! videomixer name=mixer ! ffmpegcolorspace ! autovideosink \ filesrc location=snow.ogv ! decodebin2 ! alpha ! mixer.     Hi, I have an issue where in I have defined dependancies in ivy.xml on our internal corporate svn. I am able to access this svn site without any proxy task in ant. While my dependencies resides on ibiblio, that’s something outside our corporate, and needs proxy inorder to download something. I don’t need proxy while getting ivy.xml (as if I have proxy, ivy wont be able to find ivy file behind proxy from within the network), and I just need it when my resolver goes to public url.

I am facing problem using ivy here: I have following in build.xml <target name="proxy" <property name="proxy.host" value="xyz.proxy.net"/ <property name="proxy.port" value="8443"/ <setproxy proxyhost="${proxy.host}" proxyport="${proxy.port}"/ </target <!-- resolve the dependencies of stratus --> <target name="resolveTestDependency" depends="testResolve, proxy" description="retrieve test dependencies with ivy"> <ivy:settings file="stratus-ivysettings.xml" /> <ivy:retrieve conf="test" pattern="${jars}/[artifact]-[revision].[ext]"/><!--pattern here specifies where do you want to download lib to?--> </target> <target name=" testResolve "> <ivy:settings file="stratus-ivysettings.xml" /> <ivy:resolve conf="test" file="stratus-ivy.xml"/> </target> Following is the excerpt from stratus-ivysettings.xml <resolvers <!-- here you define your file in private machine not on the repo (e.g. jPricer.jar or edgApi.jar)-- <!-- This we will use a url nd not local file system.. -- <url name="privateFS" <ivy pattern="http://xyz.svn.com/ivyRepository/ [organisation]/ivy/ivy.xml"/ </url . . . <url name="public" m2compatible="true" <artifact pattern="http://www.ibiblio.org/maven2/[organisation]/[module]/[revision]/[artifact]-[revision].[ext]"/ </url . . . So as can be seen here for getting ivy.xml, I don’t need any proxy as its within our own network which cant be accesses when I set proxy. But on the other hand I am using ibiblio as well which is external to our network and works only with proxy. So above build.xml wont work in that case. Can somebody help here. I don’t need proxy while getting ivy.xml (as if I have proxy, ivy wont be able to find ivy file behind proxy from within the network), and I just need it when my resolver goes to public url.

  • In Objective C, what's the best way to extract multiple substrings of text around multiple patterns?

    For one NSString, I have N pattern strings. I'd like to extract substrings "around" the pattern matches. So, if i have "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" and my patterns are "brown" and "lazy" i would like to get "quick brown fox" and "the lazy dog." However, the substrings don't necessarily need to be delimited by whitespace. I have a hunch that there's a very easy solution to this, but I admit a disturbing lack of knowledge of Objective C string functions.
