    Does anyone know how to export only the changed files from two tags using svn? Lets say I have tag 1.0 and then later fix bugs in the trunk. Next I am ready for a new patch release so I tag it 1.1. Now I want to export the changed files between tag 1.0 and 1.1. Is this possible?

  • HashMap as return value from Java method in R?

    Hi, is it possible to return a HashMap to R with the rJava extension of R? E.g. I have a method in Java, which returns a HashMap and I want this HashMap use in R. I tried: .jcall(javaObj, "Ljava/util/HashMap", "getDbInfoMap") This doesn't work. Do I have to put everything into a String[], that I want to pass to R from Java? Or is there another possibility? Any help/info on this would be greatly appreciated.

  • Why can't I get XSLT to work in chrome?

    I have a XSLT sample copied straight from http://www.w3schools.com/xsl/xsl_transformation.asp, which I can't seem to view in Google Chrome. However, it seems to work fine in IE. Does anyone know why this would be? EDIT: The online version works fine, but the local copy does not.

  • Qt: QStackedWidget solution

    I'm building a Qt application that have about 30 different views (QWidgets). My idea is to use a QStackedWidget to make it easy to switch between the different views in the application. I have two different solutions of how to implement this and use as little memory as possible when the user navigates through the application. Solution 1: Everytime I need to show a view I check if it is already in the stack. (The user might open the same view many times, maybe a view showing an item from a database). If the view is in the stack already it doesn't need to be created again and I can just show the view. The good thing with this solution is that I reuse the views (widgets) so they only need to be created once. This is good as the UI and other stuff should look the same everytime the user show a view, so why not reuse it? The problem with this solution is that every view has childrens. Maybe an object, a QList with objects or other things. A good thing with Qt is that you can use the parent-children mechanism so that the children will be deleted when the parent is deleted. As I never delete the parent (view) I need to handle this myself as the children might need to be deleted from different times when the view is shown. (Maybe the view show a list with objects and the list should be updated from a database each time the view is shown.) Solution 2: Everytime I need to show a QWidget I create a new one and show it. When it is not shown anymore, I delete it from memory. This is a quite easy solution. And as I delete the views when they are not shown both the view and it's children should be deleted from memory so it shouldn't increase memory, am I right? Which one of the solutions do you recommend?

    I am developing a system that uses a little Internet page as a front-end for the whole program. Since I need to use ActiveX (sigh), the page must work on Internet Explorer. However, after some actions have been done the page needs to close itself. Using window.close() on Javascript it works, but before closing it prompts the user if it wants to close the Window. The ideal would be that it closes automatically. Is there any way to make IE8 (changing an option on the browser, not a code-only solution) not to prompt before closing the Window?

    I'm writing a GAE app in Java and only using Python for the data upload. I'm trying to import a CSV file that looks like this: POSTAL_CODE_ID,PostalCode,City,Province,ProvinceCode,CityType,Latitude,Longitude 1,A0E2Z0,Monkstown,Newfoundland,NL,D,47.150300000000001,-55.299500000000002 I was able to import this file in my datastore if I import Latitude and Longitude as floats, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to import lat and lng as a GeoPt.     I am trying to write a loop that will cycle through colors and condense the amount of code in my scss file. Here is a simple example of what I have: $color1: blue; $color2: red; $color3: white; $color4: black; .color1-bg { background-color: $color1; } .color2-bg { background-color: $color2; } .color1-border { border-color: $color1; } .color2-border { border-color: $color2; } And so on. I am looking for a way to make the equivalent of a foreach loop, and cycle through an 'array' of colours by index. Something like this: @each $color in $color1, $color2, $color3, $color4 { .{$color}-bg { background-color: $color; .{$color}-border { border-color: $color; } I know the syntax is wrong, but that is my thinking process.     I'm writing a function that takes a list and returns a list of permutations of the argument. I know how to do it by using a function that removes an element and then recursively use that function to generate all permutations. I now have a problem where I want to use the following function: (define (insert-everywhere item lst) (define (helper item L1 L2) (if (null?   • Is there a way to have one project build another in Visual Studio?

    We are finally getting a source control system in place at work and I've been in charge of setting it up. I've read that it's usually good practice to not include binaries in source control so I haven't. However, we have two all-purpose utility projects (each in their own solution) that generate utility .dll's which are included in almost all of our other projects (all each in their own separate solutions). We add references to the utility dll from our projects. I would like to have our solutions set up in such a way that if the reference dll isn't built, the solution will build the dll for itself, much in the same way a make file checks for its dependencies and builds them when they're out of date or missing. I'm new to build processes with VS so try to keep the answers simple. Any links to general build process overview tutorials would be great too. Googleing for VS references returns a bunch of how-to add references links which is not exactly what I want.

    I'm using SQL Server 2005. I have a table whose row size should be 124 bytes. It's all ints or floats, no NULL columns (so everything is fixed width). There is only one index, clustered. The fill factor is 0. After inserting a ton of data, sp_spaceused returns the following name rows reserved data index_size unused OHLC_Bar_Trl 117076054 29807664 KB 29711624 KB 92344 KB 3696 KB which shows a rowsize of approx (29807664*1024)/117076054 = 260 bytes/row. Where's the rest of the space? Is there some DBCC command I need to run to tighten up this table (I could not insert the rows in correct index order, so maybe it's just internal fragmentation)?

    I have a set of strings which contain space-separated elements. I want to build a matrix which will tell me which elements were part of which strings. I've also tried going for partial matrix assignment (IE, resMatrix[i,x] <- 1) where i is the number of the string and x is the vector of factors. No dice there either, as it seems to keep on running infinitely.

  • git, SSH_ASKPASS on windows

    I am writing a graphical git frontend for Linux and Windows (MSEgit) based on MSEide+MSEgui. MSEgit has an internal console window which communicates with git by pipes. On Linux it uses a PTY so SSH asks for key unlocking passwords on the PTY. On Windows I wrote a small password entry application and set the SSH_ASKPASS environment variable accordingly. SSH calls the password application if git is started with CreateProcess() dwCreationFlags DETACHED_PROCESS set but the password entry window will not be focused, its taskbar icon flashes instead. SSH does not run the password application if FreeConsole() is called to be sure that there is no attached console to MSEgit and git is started without DETACHED_PROCESS but CREATE_NO_WINDOW instead. I assume a Windows equivalent of POSIX setsid() should be called. How can I force SSH to use SSH_ASKPASS without the DETACHED_PROCESS flag? If this is not possible, how can I ensure that the password entry window is focused?

  • How to view a DataTable while debuging

    I'm just getting started using ADO.NET and DataSets and DataTables. One problem I'm having is it seems pretty hard to tell what values are in the data table when trying to debug. What are some of the easiest ways of quickly seeing what values have been saved in a DataTable? Is there someway to see the contents in Visual Studio while debugging or is the only option to write the data out to a file? I've created a little utility function that will write a DataTable out to a CSV file. Yet the the resulting CSV file created was cut off. About 3 lines from what should have been the last line in the middle of writing out a System.Guid the file just stops. I can't tell if this is an issue with my CSV conversion method, or the original population of the DataTable. Update Forget the last part I just forgot to flush my stream writer.

  • Selecting row in SSMS causes Entity Framework 4 to Fail

    I have a simple Entity Framework 4 unit test that creates a new record, saves it, attempts to find it, then deletes it. All works great, unless... ... I open up SQL Server Management Studio while stopped at a breakpoint in the unit test and execute a SELECT statement that returns the row I just created (not SELECT FOR UPDATE, not WITH (updlock), no transaction, just a plain SELECT). If I do that before attempting to find the row I just created, I don't find the row. If I instead do that after finding the row but before deleting the row, I do find the row but get an OptimisticConcurrencyException. This is consistently repeatable.     I am admittedly a PHP newbie, so I need some help. I am creating a self-designed affiliate program for my site and have the option for an affiliate to add a SubID to their link for tracking. Without having control over what is entered, I have been testing different scenarios and found a bug when a full URL is entered (i.e. "http://example.com"). In my PHP I can grab the variable from the string no problem. My problem comes from when I get the referring URL and parse it (since I need to parse the referring URL to get the host mane for other uses). Code below: $refURL = getenv("HTTP_REFERER"); $parseRefURL = parse_url($refURL); WORKS when incoming link is (for example): http://example.com/?ref=REFERRER'S-ID&sid=www.test.com ERROR when incoming link is (notice the addition of "http://" after "sid="): http://example.com/?ref=REFERRER'S-ID&sid=http://www.test.com Here is the warning message: Warning: parse_url(/?ref=REFERRER'S-ID&sid=http://www.test.com) [function.parse-url]: Unable to parse url in /home4/'directory'/public_html/hosterdoodle/header.php on line 28 Any ideas on how to keep the parse-url function from being thrown off when someone may decide to place a URL in a variable?     I know that a primary key must be unique, but is it okay for a primary key to be equal to a different column in the same table by coincidence? For instance, I have 2 tables. One table is called person that holds information about a person (ID, email, telephone, address, name). The other table is staff (ID, pID(person ID), salary, position). In staff the ID column is the primary key and is used to uniquely identify a staff member. The number is from 1 - 100. However, the pID (person ID) may be equal to the ID. For instance the staff ID may be 1 and the pID that it references to may be equal to 1. Is that okay?

  • What is the best way to write faster on Vim using a non-english keyboard?

    I usually use Vim, and its great for the ability to do faster some actions than other editors. However, since I live in Argentina I have a Latin American keyboard, that makes everything in Vim pretty slower (to write / to search, I must press Shift+7). Since I don't want to be changing Keyboard layouts all the time (and its pretty difficult to get used to pressing symbols as in an English keyboard), I was wondering if there was a vim plugin (of .vimrc file) that may be useful for international users. Just for the sake of it, here's how the Latin American keyboard is laid out: By the way, I would love to go and buy an English keyboard, but unfortunately I use a Laptop.
