  • Maximum size of email X-Headers

    - by Spike Williams
We are looking at sticking some metadata into the X-Headers of email messages. These emails are for consumption by internal systems, and will be hosted on an Exchange server. Is there a maximum size for the ammount of data that we can store in an X-Header? Are there any limitations, such as special characters, that I should know about?

  • Azure table storage: maximum variable size ?

    - by Egon
I will be using the table storage to store a lot of blob names, in a single string, appended to each other using some special character. This string will sky rockets pretty soon. But is there a maximum size to the length of a property for a particular entity ? in my case the string ?

  • C++: Unknown pointer size when forward declaring (error C2036)

    - by Rosarch
In a header file, I have forward declared two members of a namespace: namespace Foo { struct Odp typedef std::vector<Odp> ODPVEC; }; class Bar { public: Foo::ODPVEC baz; // C2036 }; The error generated by the compiler is: error C2036: 'Foo::Odp *': unknown size I'm guessing this is an issue with forward declaring Odp. How can I get around this?

  • How to tell Size of a Grid Cell?

    - by beaudetious
I have a custom control that I've placed inside a cell of a grid. I have some internal calculations I need to run based on the height and width of the custom control. However, I want it to resize based on the size of the cell. So, my main question is... how to I programatically determine the height and width of a given cell?

  • Multi-Select Dropdown with size of 1

    - by Thomas
Is there any way of creating a combo box (<select>) with a size of 1? All the examples I can find allow for multiple selects but with a number of options visible at any one time. If this cannot be accomplished with bog standard HTML is it possible in a JS library such as JQuery?

  • How to get visible size of DisplayObject with perspective projection

    - by Ain
The following is entirely a math question. As we know, PerspectiveProjection delivers perspective transformations in 3D represented by the interdependent values of fieldOfView and focalLength according to the following formula: focalLength = stageWidth/2 * (cos(fieldOfView/2) / sin(fieldOfView/2) Bjørn Gunnar Staal has prepared a good image to illustrate the situation. Q: How to get the visible on-screen size of the DisplayObject (Cube on the above-linked image) to which PerspectiveProjection has been applied?

  • use jQuery to get 'true size' of image without removing the class

    - by jon3laze
I am using Jcrop on an image that is resized with css for uniformity. JS <script type="text/javascript"> $(window).load(function() { //invoke Jcrop API and set options var api = $.Jcrop('#image', { onSelect: storeCoords, trueSize: [w, h] }); api.disable(); //disable until ready to use //enable the Jcrop on crop button click $('#crop').click(function() { api.enable(); }); }); function storeCoords(c) { $('#X').val(c.x); $('#Y').val(c.y); $('#W').val(c.w); $('#H').val(c.h); }; </script> HTML <body> <img src="/path/to/image.jpg" id="image" class="img_class" alt="" /> <br /> <span id="crop" class="button">Crop Photo</span> <span id="#X" class="hidden"></span> <span id="#Y" class="hidden"></span> <span id="#W" class="hidden"></span> <span id="#H" class="hidden"></span> </body> CSS body { font-size: 13px; width: 500px; height: 500px; } .image { width: 200px; height: 300px; } .hidden { display: none; } I need to set the h and w variables to the size of the actual image. I tried using the .clone() manipulator to make a copy of the image and then remove the class from the clone to get the sizing but it sets the variables to zeros. var pic = $('#image').clone(); pic.removeClass('image'); var h = pic.height(); var w = pic.width(); It works if I append the image to an element in the page, but these are larger images and I would prefer not to be loading them as hidden images if there is a better way to do this. Also removing the class, setting the variables, and then re-adding the class was producing sporadic results. I was hoping for something along the lines of: $('#image').removeClass('image', function() { h = $(this).height(); w = $(this).width(); }).addClass('image'); But the removeClass function doesn't work like that :P

  • How do you size the jQuery Button?

    - by Alex
Hi. I'm using the jQuery UI Button control but don't seem to be able to adjust the size (width and height). Here's the API documentation. I tried setting a STYLE attribute on it, but then the LABEL wasn't centered correctly. Thanks.

  • k-combinations of a set of integers in ascending size order

    - by Adamski
Programming challenge: Given a set of integers [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] I would like to generate all possible k-combinations in ascending size order in Java; e.g. [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [1, 2], [1, 3] ... [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] It is fairly easy to produce a recursive solution that generates all combinations and then sort them afterwards but I imagine there's a more efficient way that removes the need for the additional sort.

  • Cucumber : Size of features

    - by David Lyod
Im new to testing with cucumber and have a question regarding the size of a 'Feature'. Assume you can add a collection of items to a list and do the usual CRUD , is it preferred to create one feature for this complete set of CRUD actions or a feature for each? What is the preferred/accepted method ? At what point does an action become a feature itself ?

  • Get size of max possible result set

    - by wheresrhys
For my application most of my SQL queries return a specified number of rows. I'd also like to get the maximum possible number of results i.e. how many rows would be returned if I wasn't setting a LIMIT. Is there a more efficient way to do this (using just SQL?) than returning all the results, getting the size of the result set and then splicing the set to return just the first N rows.

  • Get file size in bazaar.

    - by NawaMan
Hi all. How can I get the size of a versioned file/files? This seems to be a very common operation but I can't find how (Am I missing something?). Well, I can get it indirectly by catting it and count the bytes but this is very slow. Any help would be appropriated.

  • buffer size for socket connection in c++

    - by wyatt
I'm trying to build a basic POP3 mail client in C/++, but I've run into a bit of an issue. Since you have to define the buffer size when building the program, but a message can be arbitrarily large, how do you, say, get the mail server to send it to you in parts? And if this isn't the correct means of solving the problem, what is? And while I'm here, can anyone confirm for me that RFC 2822 is still the current document defining email layout? Thanks
