• ts_block.vbs and mac intosh

  I am using your excellent ts_blocker, release 20120530, on my server 2008 R2 Enterprise. it works very fine, i use the vbs script, launched with wscript. The only problem is that is does not work for users attempting to connect RDP from a mac intosh. With this machine the distant IP seems to be not recognized when the login fails. The IP is visible when the login is good (event ID 4624) but not when it fails (Audit failure event ID 4625) : then the IP is not to be seen in the event log ! In the "network information" of the event log entry is nothing given. Have you already been told of that and is there something to do ?

• Move already (i.e. not new) completed files in rtorrent

  I've been using rtorrent for a while with a single directory. Now I figured out it was possible to use different directories and even to move completed downloads elsewhere, so according to the rtorrent wiki I edited my .rtorrent.rc as follow : # Download directory directory = /Medias/torrents/ # Watching directories schedule = watch_directory_1,5,60,"load_start=/path/to/dl/dir1/*.torrent,d.set_custom1=/path/to/done/dir1" schedule = watch_directory_2,5,60,"load_start=/path/to/dl/dir2/*.torrent,d.set_custom1=/path/to/done/dir2" # On completion, move the torrent to the directory from custom1. system.method.set_key = event.download.finished,move_complete,"d.set_directory=$d.get_custom1= ;execute=mv,-u,$d.get_base_path=,$d.get_custom1=" It seems to work for new torrents. However I have a bunch of completed files I have already downloaded before to split directories, and for them it does not work : if I delete their file in the session directory, rtorrent will check the hash but won't move them, and if I move them by myself rtorrent won't see them and will try to redownload them. So how can I tell rtorrent either to move them or that they are in another directory ? Thanks.

• NFS to NFS mount

  I have a machine that I need to bridge NFS files to. Can I mount an NFS directory on machine2 from machine1 and then mount the mounted NFS directory on machine2 on machine3 via NFS? Do you see any problems with that? I am basically bridging some subnet domains this way, in a certain fashion. My development machine is on a different and separate (unbridged) than where I would like to use the files, and I would like this machine1(dev machine) - machine2(passthrough machine) - machine3(test machine) connection. And no there is no way to move the test machine as it's a chassis :) and it's two buildings away.

• C1083 : Permission denied on .sbr files

  Hello, I am using Visual Studio 2005 (with SP1) and I am getting weird errors concerning .sbr files. These files, as I read on MSDN, are intermediate files for BSCMAKE to generate a .bsc file. The errors I get are, for example (on different builds) : 11string.cpp : fatal error C1083: Impossible d'ouvrir le fichier généré(e) par le compilateur : '.\debug\String.sbr' : Permission denied 58type.cpp : fatal error C1083: Impossible d'ouvrir le fichier généré(e) par le compilateur : '.\Debug/Type.sbr' : Permission denied Translation : cannot open compiler intermediate file It seems to be consistent (I have at least 5 or 6 examples like this) with a .cpp file being compiled twice in the same project, respectively : 11String.cpp *some warnings, 2 lines* 11String.cpp 58Type.cpp *some warnings and other files compiled, a lot of lines* 58Type.cpp I already checked the .vcproj files for duplicate entries and it does not seem to be the problem. I would appreciate any help regarding this issue. Deactivating the build of .bsc files seems to be a workaround but maybe someone has better information than this. Thanks.

  hi i am integrating authorize.net AIM api into my shopping cart. i have a developer account from auth.net and i am working locally. when i do auth.net api call, i get SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK.   Regarding over-releasing. Say I have a instance variable defined in Test.h NSString *mystring; In my implementation Test.m I do not initialize the variable mystring anywhere. But I release it in dealloc: -(void)dealloc { [mystring release]; } Is this now over-released? I've been doing the following in dealloc to avoid any issues, however, is this really necessary? -(void)dealloc { if (mystring) [mystring release]; } It seems that [nil release] shouldn't do anything, can someone verify this with class members?

  In the file Parsers.scala (Scala 2.9.1) from the parser combinators library I seem to have come across a lesser known Scala feature called "lazy arguments".   i am doing a project where i need to output date of orders. and i do the following inside a for loop <?php echo date('M d, Y g:i A',strtotime($order['Order']['created']));?> for some strange reason, sttotime returns false. (Dec 31, 1969 7:00 PM appears instead.) i made sure $order['Order']['created'] is not empty and is valid. even stranger, that exact same piece of code works fine on the other page, only different is that, that one is not in a loop. but that cant be the reason right? i set timezone to America/New_York and $order['Order']['created'] is mysql timestamp. var_dump on said variable string(27) "2010-06-16 20:12:51"

• Optimum php.ini and my.cnf settings for a small Drupal 7 site on a virtual server

  I looking for advice on how to set up the default configuration of php.ini and my.cnf for a small site (100 pages) with very little traffic (300 visitors per day). All pages have a bit of text, some images, no video, no audio, no flash/silverlight, very little javascript and jquery. For tracking I'm using GA and Piwik. The main site database is around 50MB. The site is hosted on a virtual server with 20GB RAM and 6 vCPUs so there's hopefully a lot of muscle to make it run very fast. I don't know much about tweaking php and mysql settings and would appreciate it if your answers can be as detailed as possible. Thanks

• Java split is eating my characters.

  Hi, I have a string like this String str = "la$le\$li$lo". I want to split it to get the following output "la","le\$li","lo". The \$ is a $ escaped so it should be left in the output. But when I do str.split("[^\\\\]\\$") y get "l","le\$l","lo". From what I get my regex is matching a$ and i$ and removing then. Any idea of how to get my characters back? Thanks
